Just an FYI, I would watch a live stream of just gold fishies...... Neverending fishies? Heaven. Loved the video too! I love how passionate you are about fish!
I have been researching especially using this channel. From everything I've gathered I had reached a conclusion similar to what is summed up in this video, so this video really encouraging me I'm on the right track
good advice.. here is some more.. i've kept saltwater reef tanks for decades.. dont have to tell you how much more critical water chemistry is in these environments.. so this is how i keep all my tanks crystal clear.. in addition to what you said.. 1. always start with 0 ppm RO/DI water. do not introduce phosphates or other nutrients by using tap water.. 2nd.. export phosphates by running a refugium.. grow plants somewhere/elsewhere in the system to use up the nutrients.. 3rd.. like you said.. water changes.. 4th.. lighting.. keep you lighting in the tank out of the spectrums that grow algae/bacteria.. thats why a refugium works well, you can put that 3000k lighting all over it to frow the algae/plants that suck up all the nutrients so your display tank stays clear ..
I have been working on cloudy water and seen the green stuff on things in tank you know I cut out lights and put a small light today and looks really clear this way
Your fish are so awesome. 😍 Thanks for the info. I have a 50 gal tank and a really heavy duty filter ect in my parents basement waiting for the day I get a bigger place that I can fit the tank in.
You mentioned that turning down the tank lights helps keep algae in check, but does turning down the lights at night also help the fishies sleep better? I know this question doesn't have anything to do with keeping the tank clean and maybe sounds a little stupid, but talking about the lights made me think about it and now I'm curious.
Hi Luke, please please help me with a problem. I have a 25 gallon tank with a oranda and redcap goldfish in it. The oranda just eats air( he keeps moving at the surface, opening and closing his mouth to collect some air in his mouth, then he dives down for a few seconds then releases those bubbles and does the same thing again). Which causes him to float for a few hours after that and then he does the same thing again. I have already checked all water parameters and I have a very good oxygen levels in there too. And yes the red cap doesn't do this at all. I do my level best to prevent swim bladder, fedding sinking pallets, green peas twice a week. I fear he will get swim bladder issues because of this.
The best way i found to get clear water in minutes in my gold fish tank is to use a hydro clean suction hose to clean debris from the stone and or bottom of the tank. You'll thank me later. Your Welcome..:p)
Hey Luke! I’m wondering how many airpumps are you using for those 3 sponge filters? and can you show your airpumps in tiktok? Coz I’m using splitters in my airpumps and by doing that I noticed that it doesnt produce many bubbles
Hi, how much aquascape beneficial bacteria do i use in a 75 gallon tank? Does this product require substrates? I have a bare bottom tank with few stones and plants. Thanks.
How much of the Aquascape beneficial bacteria do you use in 55 gallon tanks? The instructions says that 1 tsp treats 1,300 gallons...so how much do you use in your tanks???

Bruh, animals need to sleep somehow, turn those lights off, you don’t see the sun 24/7 🥹🥹
I’ve been cleaning the hang on filter last night really good
I put pothos and java fern in my tank and my green water went away in a week
They do help reduce the nitrates!
