"This tutorial was incredibly helpful! I followed your step-by-step instructions and my goldfish tank looks amazing now. Thank you for sharing such valuable information - my finned friends are loving their new home!"
What a good content now I know how is the correct way to set up my own tank for my goldfish since their needs are special especially the shebonkin goldfish left me quite surprised.
This is a very special video. I learned a lot from this video. Everything was explained in detail. I really like your videos. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.
Just what I was looking for. Don't mind but I've noticed that live food specially tubifex worms brings out really vibrant colors to fishes , not only in goldfish but angels severums , rainbow fish betta and with tubifex they grow very fast . I can't afford blood worms on daily basis but tubifex are cheap and widely available. I have noticed that only gravel sized more than 1 inches work . But then again you have more experience or knowledge so you can give better suggestion.
Thanks for the suggestion. I actually prefer California blackworms myself but those are more expensive. I used them a lot when I owned saltwater fish. Better nutritional value than all the other worms, but not used a lot on the freshwater side. I mention in a few posts on my blog
This is good information! I myself own three fancy goldfishes, one pleco, four rosy tetra (I just try to see if they get along before adding more or if I have to remove them, so far they are thriving) and mostly just try to use live plants only, I have 132 gallons and three filtrations, I use a variety of food, such as cooked broccoli and pees. As substrate, I use both sand and gravel as they like to throw rocks around and helps when it itches. I try to figure out how to stimulate them, they have access to dig, plants to bite on but won’t eat them, other fishes and even has music on. But most of the time they seem so bored, they lay in a corner and just waits until I walk past and then they go wild, swimming around and spitting water until I bop their forehead. Do anyone has any advice how to entertain them or stimulate them more than what I have done?
That’s great idea! They don’t really try to interact with the other fishes like my tetras, they see them but leaves them be, Minnows, that aren’t bad, thank you!
Im about to get a couple goldfish that arent in a very clean 10 gallon tank. Im not even sure when the last water change was. Theyre coming with a water filter and heater and the tank theyre in. I want to get a much bigger tank for them. My question is do i need to acclimate them to a new clean tank? I cant afford a new filter and heater for them so i was going to use the ones they came with so i wont be able to cycle a new tank before they get here. Any advice on how to get these fish in a clean new tank safely appreciated.
😢😢 i had gold fishes i had two of them they died brutally 😢😢 one of my goldfish eyes came out and it was bleeding i can't do anything it was suffering whenever I kept my finger somewhere it moves and blood would flow and later it died😢😢😢😢 i miss them 😢😔😔
what is the name of the goldfish in this video? i have oranda goldfish from pet smart, but i think it is not oranda. it is similar goldfish in this video.
Do you find keeping fish cruel cause they have limited space and cant swim and explore the same way like in the wild do you think they are sad and how do you feel about it 🐠 I have goldfish too so don’t feel attacked 😂
I do if it’s wild caught species. I used to keep reef tanks then stopped after the whole controversy of the import bans. I didn’t like the way the community handled it so I stopped keeping saltwater fish all together. I’ll still educate ppl on how to care for them and properly setup aquariums though. Many freshwater fish and plants are Tank bred these days with many plants lab grown now. I don’t see an issue with keeping tank bred fish assuming the fish keeper does the work to learn how to properly care for them. I do have issues with certain breeds of designer fish like bubble eye goldfish or dragonscale bettas. I haven’t touched on those on the channel, but I’ve gotten on my soapbox on the blog about it 😅. I’ve personally never kept a tank smaller than 3 feet. I don’t like tiny tanks. Many fish that are territorial don’t actually travel very far - that’s why they generally claim a 2x2 space in most cases like Betta Fish or Kribs
Are you sure it was originally call chi? Also that silver fish is not a wild ancestor, that is a ranchu/lion head, you can definitely use a better image than that being misleading. Also tank size is not necessary the most important indicator for most traditional fancy goldfish, rather the water surface area is a better indicate metric for better care. Simply saying tank size applies to Thai breeds better since those tend to have deeper body and were accustomed to deeper water when raised. Also please do not recommend a hang on filter at all on your video for goldfish because they hold very little filter media, every goldfish keepers in china either do traditional style of keeping with no equipment but daily water change and strict feeding based on experiences passing down, or upgraded with huge filter boxes , yes , filter boxes, not a hang on, not a box, it’s boxes because goldfish’s are poop machine. Some of the video clips were from other videos that already got misleading way of keeping goldfish, I know your script don’t agree with them, but I rather you feature some better clips that accurately reflect your belief of keeping them. Also not saying that substrates are a no for Goldie, but there’s a reason why most goldfish keepers don’t use them cause they are poop machine, if you want to implant your products in this video, you better mention that substrates and fake plants need A TON of cleaning on regular basis.

They may need some dither fish that you are okay losing if they catch them. Something like minnows
That’s great idea! They don’t really try to interact with the other fishes like my tetras, they see them but leaves them be, Minnows, that aren’t bad, thank you!
Music too loud
We got a similar comment on another video - we tuned down the music in later videos

Can we put 8-10 glow tetra fish with my 2 gold fish ??
Glow fish tetras are tropical fish and are best suited to be housed separate from goldfish. The tetras could also nip fancy goldfish

Oh wow sorry to hear that. That's quite traumatic 😔
The ultimate secret for having healthy fishes ?
Don't be lazy and clean regularly your tank ! No magic in that !
what is the name of the goldfish in this video? i have oranda goldfish from pet smart, but i think it is not oranda. it is similar goldfish in this video.
the goldfish in the intro.
The first clip is a fantail. The next one is a Ryukin
I mix my koi and moors.
Goldfish
It's 20 gallons per fish not 29.
Goox 🐠
