Love the look of the Lounge certainly worth arriving very early for your flight to make full use of it, considering the age of the 737 it looked pretty good, breakfast presentation and quantity looked good but so agree with you about the wooden cutlery that's a definite no no in business.
TbD - retro is right! I love it. Really like the breakfast presentation, cutlery aside. Did I read/see somewhere that they charge to eat in the lounge restaurant? Regardless, super lounge. Great report, as always.
Haha yeah was good right! Love the way they present their food, it was especially good on the 777 experience also. Hmmm I didn’t see any evidence of charging. Buffet looked free of charge, it’s possible that restaurant would’ve been chargeable upstairs but didn’t see any menus sadly with it being closed. Would be a shame if so, business tickets ain’t cheap! 😅
KLM have a chargeable restaurant (Blue) upstairs in their non-Shengen AMS lounge but all the food and drinks in the rest of the lounge is included in entrance/fare.
Hi, Another very interesting review. Really liked the KLM lounge looked huge. Have you ever flown Cathay Pacific Business class recently, just wondered what your thoughts are ? cheers
Thanks so much, the lounge was epic! Sadly I haven’t but I am due to fly with them in the business class a little later in the year, review to follow November ish sort of time 😊
You definitely need to return to the KLM lounge in AMS to dine in the Blue restaurant- it's fantastic in my opinion. I find KL's shorthaul business class a bit bland- the presentation of the inflight meal in a box with plastic containers just doesn't feel premium to me. I'm hoping when their A321s come into service their offering will be refreshed and updated.
@@Travelsbydreamer I'm sure Blue food and drink is chargeable, slightly subsidised but not by much....a rather bizarre concept. Best to stay in the free zone. Annoyingly, the sleep pods are also chargeable.
@@garryb131 how bizarre! Annoying, especially if you’d spent thousands on a ticket. Wouldn’t have been thrilled had I found out in the lounge itself. Have to wonder what’s the point with so many nice resistant elsewhere no doubt in the airport…

Watching from South Africa. Great content as always.
Thanks so much! Great to have people tuning in from SA! 🇿🇦

I’d have loved to have spent more time in the lounge for sure. Keen to try them a little more into the future, let’s see 😃
Interesting, not too shabby at all. I'm impressed, especially with the breakfast and that box.
Yeah true true, couldn’t believe how decent the old plane turned out to be!

@@troubleonmac thanks so much for the insight, shame blue isn’t included!

Will be good to see the A321’s! Any insights on whether Blue is chargeable? Would be good to do their premium economy next if possible!
