Great video David !!! To keep it longer freeze it, I do. So have the batch made keep half for immediate use (2 weeks) and freeze the other half until you fancy more. No heat no problem, I make it with 1 can of full fat coconut milk and 1 can of sweeten condensed milk. Sinfully silky good and only need to blend it no heat.
Really great info. I always have coconut milk for Thai and Indian cooking, and although I can get Coco Lopez in my area, this makes it so much easier fo me. I will probably freeze half of it, like another commenter sugggested. The 1/2 ounch of vodka, however, is also a great idea to extend the life. Thank you!!!!!
Great stuff. I actually made this about 30 mins before checking out your vid! My tiki party is at the end of this month, and I know I will be asked to make Pina Colada's. I find syrup vids like this very useful. I am in England, and have no chance of picking up the brand you mentioned. My local Co-op has one that I have used before - also 400ml. Does the job nicely. Cheers David.
Have done this before - the need for the salt cannot be underestimated. The amount of it, however, can - get it in there, but don't go crazy. You can always add more, but it's real bear to take the stuff out.
That is a good question. You can definitely use palm sugar as it lower on the glycemic index. It will work just as well. Try it an let me know what you think.
That is a good questionIt, Coconut Milk is basically just shredded coconut flesh that is pureed with water and strained to create a rich, white tasty liquid.
That is agreat question. The reason I do not use a sugar syrup is that the end product would be thinner beacuse of the added dilution of the coconut milk.
Thank you David for showing us how to make it ourselfs! Love that a lot, bc Cream of Coconut is not always available here in Vienna and i have to order it online if i need it! ☺🤍🥥🤎

My pleasure Christine. I'm glad I could help.
Great video buddy always nice to see how we can make our own rather then spending a fortune on store bought.
Anytime we can save some money.
@@boozeontherocks agreed it's such a squeeze right now

That is so true. A pinch goes a long way
Simple, easy, and delicious!
Thank you
Noice DIY. I always heard adding vodka helps, but never knew how much. looking forward to see what cocktail you make out of this one. cheers.
Your welcome. The vodka does help and you can change it slightly if your adjusting the flavor too.
Thanks for the educational video!!! I have never seen it in Australia either.
Your welcome. I hope it helps.
"cream of coconut" he says... Nice DIY cheers!
You got it. :)
Fortunately, Coco Lopez is the same price as can of coconut milk here. Lol. So I rarely make it but this is a great recipe. Cheers pal!
Your welcome. If you ever need the recipe though
Yeah I’m trying to avoid all the preservative crap that you get from store products so this is good to know
I've experienced that this lasts way longer than a month in the fridge! say 3-4months instead! suger does help alot with that :D
That is true it does. This just seperates a bit over time.
Thanks for share the recipe
Your welcome!!
I was wondering if this would work better with palm sugar
That is a good question. You can definitely use palm sugar as it lower on the glycemic index. It will work just as well. Try it an let me know what you think.
I have coconuts everywhere. Is coconut milk the juice and fruit? Or just the juice?
That is a good questionIt, Coconut Milk is basically just shredded coconut flesh that is pureed with water and strained to create a rich, white tasty liquid.
Why don’t you use sugar syrup, no heating and dissolving?
That is agreat question. The reason I do not use a sugar syrup is that the end product would be thinner beacuse of the added dilution of the coconut milk.
Ah ha. That's why you are making vids and I am just watching them, got it, thanks! @@boozeontherocks
