Thanks for the comment :-) It is pretty good. Definitely better at removing lower frequencies like the rumble of a train or bus engine. You can still hear people around you if there is no music. They have a couple of features if you want to listen/talk to the people around you.
@@7amoka Honestly, for quiet listening with no ANC, they will be quite similar after a bit of an EQ tweak on the Q30s. The XM4s main thing (and in my opinion the part that justifies the price) is the ANC. They do sound good, but as I said in the video they seem to be particularly tuned to sound good in a noisy place, like commuting on a train.
how have you found the noise leakage on here? i know its the case with most headphones but i feel like i cant go above halfway on music before everyone can hear it
Thanks for the comment :-) They are a bit leaky, but no more than my other headphones. AC/DC at 50 percent on my partner's head is barely audible from the other side of my living room. To be honest, I usually use them in noisy places, and even then the noise cancellation is good enough that I don't usually have them turned up above half.
Overall, I would say yes as the padding is better. The 720s are quite a bit lighter though, and I find I can wear them for longer due to the reduced weight. Cheers
Thanks for the comment :-) That’s a decent price. To me the XM series of headphones are definitely focused more noise cancellation than they are sound quality. Out of the. Ox they are a little muddy and bottom heavy. However, after I tweaked them a little using the app, they sounded very good. They are worth it if you commute a lot, or need to block out unwanted noise.
@@IrensTech Thanks for the reply, tbh i don't care that much bout ANC quality, it's just music for me... But i didn't had any other choice i didn't purchased any other headphone bc of LDAC,I use lossless files...you tell me if you say cancel,i cancel if it's that bad in sound, but i don't understand how can it be bad it's Sony...good day/night
@@medicineman9647 They sound pretty good, but they are not audiophile level headphones. They are made for commuting. The price you found them for is great, and the fact they have a very adjustable EQ means you can tweak the sound to your liking. They don’t sound bad. At all.
@@nlsantiesteban and I totally respect that but I was asking because I am torn between the two of them and price isn't the issue for me . I just want good anc , wireless connection and long battery with comfort
@@Sonasic ive heard lots about the 1000xm4s being good for this. as far as im concerned, the anc for the xm5s is just slightly better and with better durability in headphone build and longer lasting battery life. im using the xm4s and i couldnt have been happier, id give them a chance :)
Thanks for the question. :-) I did really consider the XM5, but they were quite a bit more expensive, don’t fold up, and I have heard some reports of the ANC switching around automatically when walking about (which I plan to do with the XM4s). Cheers
How’s the ANC of these headphones? Can you still hear/talk to people with ANC on and no music playing. Thanks!

I’m considering upgrading my Soundcore Q30.
You think the sound quality indoors with the ANC off is much better with XM4s?

Is ot more comfortable than the 720n?

why did you buy them rather than xm5?
I’d assume because he’s just starting out and reviewing what he has at hand, a la MKBHD’s early days. Good on him, build with what you’ve got.
