Yessssss! Nicely done! I feel spoiled I didn't have to wait that long after hearing the original, haha! Love the emulated "effects" of the laser blasts and sirens in the song!
the experience really isn't complete without the sound of every alarm imaginable sounding at once and every single system failing simultaneously, which this perfectly encapsulates
Oh, this is *grindy* and gritty. Love it Small technical tip: Change how much vibrato you're using depending on the note frequency (less for higher pitches, more for lower pitches) if you want the same amount of audible vibrato, since one 'unit' of vibrato moves you a higher % of a note at higher frequencies than at lower ones. If you prefer it this way though, then of course keep it as-is!
@@birbinabasket Yep exact same reason, there's less 'frequency values' between high pitched notes. Each octave you go up you want to halve the 3xx value, each octave you go down double, if you want the speed to be the same
If Danimal Cannon replaced Ben Prunty But jokes aside, that's a high effort cover, it's totally worth the energy you've put into it, do what you love, you're nailing it
Came across this a while ago and came back to look at it again and listened fully, and dear lord good damn job it sounds better then the original lmao.
@@birbinabasket If you ever work on FTL again you should do a Lanius cover of this style i think it would sound amazing! Also those little details of like the powersurge warning and laser sound effects really puts it over the top for me, and sorry for my bad English i am not a native speaker.
I was a bit like "damn, we're only gonna remaon at the beginning part?" At first but then when i relaized that there is more to it, with the laser/hit sounds, i uave to say i enjoyed it a bunch! Gives a very different vibe to the original - and not in a negative way!
I think I’ve listended to this enough times for my brain to rewire it this as if it was the original. Which makes it harder to compare and distinguish what is added, so rather than doing that, I’ll stick by the single fact that I love the energy. Love the transitions and love the rythm.
3:17 a 8 bit power surge, very good detail.
*Gordon Ramsay voice* Finally... some good fucking music

Truly a remix worthy of being some determined captain's last stand!

Thanks a lot! That's actually something I recently noticed when using 3xx to get a nice and consistent note slide

Thanks! I think I could do even better now, but I think 3 covers of the same song would be too much...

@@Mattpew0w0 I've considered doing Lanius before, it's a banger of a track (your English is great btw!)
Love the new remix, those faint laser blast was the icing on the cake for me.
The music vibrates my soul.
That's way better than the first version and that was already good! Nice Job, my dude!
This is insanely good, for so many reasons.
the part near the end where the missile warning sounds come in as part of the beat had me GROOVIN

commentin to show appreciation. good job! I'm beaming some good vibes at ya.
This is one of my favourite songs of all time and you did great porting it to the 8 bit soundscape. Well done! 10/10.
Fecking awesome.
Well done, makes me want to start a new run after a few years off the game.
Nothing will have me more than the "THUNK THUNK THUNK" of the missile launchers firing

YOU HAVE 1000 SUBS?! CONGRATS! YOU DESERVE THEM
hyped me up enough to attempt another playthrough
This is really good! I'd love to see you try and tackle some of the other songs on the FTL soundtrack
I love how you mixed in like weapon and alarm sounds into the song, very fucking sick.
I love your channel name
Man the Last Stand hits extremely hard and almost to 10,000
I take it back it's already 20,000

idk probably death metal or hard rock

This is awesome! Can we possibly get the original Famitracker file for reference? I've been trying to learn but I've a long way to go, won't repost :)
Is it possible to download it somewhere in the midi extension?
Fecking awesome.
