of the many things, I enjoy the full focus on the instruments and not the perform and the lightness and brightness.... and also the clean sounds, always sharp and not pushing away other sounds... great balance of low, mid & hi. =)

@AlvinPing yeah a lot of people seem to be giving bad reviews. I am in love with my korg pad, hoping to get the key today.

@jeesh123 - Thanks Josh! The NanoKey is alright. I use it mainly to trigger a drum VSTi (granted, I really should be using the Pad for that, but hey, this gets the job done :P). The touch/velocity sensitivity is surprisingly good, but since the key travel is so small it's hard to get it to sound exactly how you want. I've heard a lot of people having build quality issues with it as well, but so far I haven't broken mine (yet! *knock on wood*).
@Aftermath604 - Thanks! I really want to get back into writing original stuff again, but it takes me ages to complete even just one track. Then I get frustrated and try to move on to something else, repeat, cycle continues. haha... Having said that, I will still do Pogo covers. I love deconstructing his works, finding the melodies, chords, and basslines amidst the myriad of samples, then seeing if it's possible to recreate them using traditional instruments
@PALUCHMUSIC - I traveled to Spain (Barcelona), France (Nice, Eze), Italy (Genoa, Florence, Pisa, Rome, Pompeii), and the UK (London). It was my first time visiting Europe and, not knowing when I'd get the chance to do this again, tried to see as many places as possible in the time I had! And yeah I know what you mean about the Micro controllers. I'm actually just using the nanoKey to trigger a drum VSTi (granted, I should be using a pad controller for that, but whatever :p).
@PALUCHMUSIC - Thanks man! Yeah, the Philippines documentary was crazy complex. Editing that beast took a looong time (and it certainly didn't help that the video format my little Kodak cam uses doesn't exactly work properly in Adobe Premiere). I was actually in and around Europe a few months ago, and shot a bunch of footage on the Canon that I'd like to edit together into a similar film. Unfortunately, due to lack of time, I haven't even really touched any of the footage yet!
@insanewondurland - Wow, thanks so much for the kind words! I appreciate it :-). As for your comment re: live shows, I think I have to make more music (and non-covers! haha) before I can pull off a live show. Speaking of which, going to see Pogo in San Francisco on the 11th. Pretty pumped up for that :D
@jako023 - Thank you Jako! I am definitely working on more music at the moment, both my own stuff, as well as Pogo covers. Bangarang will be the next cover I release. Not sure exactly when I'll be able to get it out, but progress is well underway :)
@AFGiant - Thanks man! Yeah Pogo asked me to send this as a video response to his original Wishery remix, which was an honor-- unfortunately, something glitched out in the land of RUclips and it never went through :(
@Chaostoon218 - Whisperlude would be an excellent challenge. I love that track. The lead samples are intricate, and deconstructing (then reconstructing!) the song would really test my abilities. Challenge accepted.

@AlvinPing Ah! too bad I won't be able to meet up with you there; I am planning on going to the LA one since I am from san diego! Yes, work on your own stuff and start doing live performances. Your dedication is amazing. You really did well to recreate the spirit of pogo. I showed it to friends on facebook, and they wrote back to me that it was what would be playing when they went to their happy place lol. I listened to it on the way to class today. @AlvinPing I am seeing pogo saturday in Lol Angeles. Bummer that I won't have the opportunity to meet you. I listen to this song every day, made it my ringtone, show it to everyone. You've done such a good job with it, it's incredible. Make more music! There's definitely something special here. If you're going to do another remix of pogo's work, I vote upular!
This is so incredibly amazing. I am a pretty avid listener of pogo and have been for several years now. I really enjoy this cover a lot. This song represents a link between the construction of life's songs, and songs created by instruments and the minds of people. This is really cool. Absolutely stunning. I downloaded it right away. New favorite song.
Alvin I just have to say you and Nick, are my life. I listen to you all the time, whenver possible! Thank you for your contribution to my everyday life, and I hope you go on to make your own music, and POGO covers in the future, you have true amazing musical talent. :)

@AlvinPing hah indeed :) what countries did you visit? oh and forgot to mention that I have the same KORG Micro controllers, micro synth pads inclusive hehe, ever get the feeling that youre pressing non-existent buttons? I tried mixing a few pieces and making decrescendos was an absolute pain!

@discrepancy09 If you're going to be bold enough to add real lyrics to Pogo material--which most believe should be untouched (in terms of lyrics, at least)--then it's gotta be original, unique, and most importantly, VERY VERY GOOD.
You what might be neat? This instrumental cover, with a woman providing Snow Whites' vocals... You'd need someone who could really hit the highs.

At first I was wondering what the "dig dig dig" part would sound like but I got dissapointed when it was the same. Really great though!
Cool vid, probs would have used different guitar tones personally and maybe a few different treatments on the other instuments.
