Классная песня! Душевная! Сьюзи- спасибо тебе за твои прекрасные песни ...Слушаю их более 40 лет. И буду слушать и дальше. Для меня это уже классика!😊😄😁
Suzi Quatro is one of best singers she has a lot of albums that are hits in England, Europe, Asia, Australia. She is from Detroit. For GOD"S sake WHY not here in America? A SUPERSTAR overseas, but not here. This is bad. She has been putting good albums since early 70s. She deserves nothing less than to be in the Rock and roll hall of fame... Yes she is that good People remember, Suzi Quatro, listen to some of her music, and be surprised how good she is. .dave in Sierra vista AZ.
@@minard6 And to make matters worse -- you have to factor for many more great songs she would have had with the proper promotion in America. What's all the more absurd is that her stuff was ideal for radio -- which ruled in those days. She got screwed -- no question about it.
“Why not here in America?” Pretty easy. She was “discovered and mentored by British producer (Jeff Beck, The Animals etc etc etc)Mickie Most who took her back to London. Mentored her guiding her career. Her band was all English musicians. In 1976 she married her guitar player Englishman Len Tuckey who joined her band and co wrote a number of her songs. They had two children. Her record label was Most’s RAK Records (any distribution in the US was through various labels). Her first hit was in Portugal. Later she was “handled” by Aussie born London based Mike Chapman. Her entire career, save for her acting role on Happy Days and a US tour in support of Alice Cooper, was UK focused.
@@JohnLnyc Maybe it has something to do with our music industry. The Runaways were huge in Japan, but vanished without a trace here. Joan Jett had to form her own record label to put out her first hits. Chrissie Hynde had to go to the UK to find a path forward. Patti Smith was much bigger in Europe than here, even though she didn't move there. Heck, before them all, Sister Rosetta Tharpe had been forgotten here by the time she got a hero's welcome in Europe (she did massive tours on the Continent, and Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and some of the Rolling Stones were among those traveling to see her perform in Manchester in 1964.) At the time Suzi left, her band the Pleasure Seekers were rocking as hard as any male bands, but were consistently being billed for their hotness (just watch some old videos, the MCs will make you cringe). Plain and simple, we've got a problem with women playing instruments and telling guys what to do.
@@hiawatha.g You are buying into a myth. The US is huge demographically and incredibly diverse. It is the size of all of Europe and all of it speak (and sing) in English. Unlike Europe. The Runaways were together for about four years. They had one hit and disbanded. Joan Jett had around three gold records here in the US as a solo artist. Patty Smith is was part of the NY art and punk scene. Known as a poet as much as a musician. Maybe much more! Chrissie Hynde moved to England early in her career as did Suzi Quatro. They are as much British career wise as American. Neither went abroad because of anything musical here in the US. By the way, Lita Ford has done very well here in America as an instrument player. along with Joan. Rosetta Tharpe? Quite popular in the blues and gospel world right here in America. The problem is so many fail to realize the US music industry is not as homogenized as it is in say the UK or Japan. We are too big demographically and geographically. So, music spans many styles and niches.
Profection. This is off her first album, side 1 first song, which is were it should be. I could not help it, I have been a fan since I bought this album in 1973, or 74. I never heard of her before I bought it. I just took a chance and, after seeing this album cover, and seeing her eyes, I bought it. One of the best decisions in record buying I ever made. Since than, I bought evey album she made. Wow, she has still got it! Dave in Sierra Vista AZ
Now I'm done playing with fools And I've paid all my childhood dues I find the mountain much steeper to climb Am I just one of the crowd? I decided a few days ago There's no room. Room for me in this show I changed my make-up completely this time Now I'm not one... one of the crowd So good-bye. Good-bye blind eyes I'm gonna find me a cat's eye Good-bye. Good-bye blind eyes I know what I want to see So good-bye. Good-bye blind eyes I'm gonna find me a cat's eye Good-bye. Good-bye blind eyes I know what I want to be Now I'm done playing the fool And I've paid all my childhood dues I find the mountain much steeper to climb Now I'm not one... one of the crowd?

I totally agree... I'm embarrassed that she is not big here in the US. She's an icon.

I think it's actually from her second album, "Quatro". But no matter, I get where you're coming from. She's a rock hero by any measure.

Now I'm done playing with fools
And I've paid all my childhood dues

Am I just one of the crowd?
I decided a few days ago
There's no room. Room for me in this show
I changed my make-up completely this time
Now I'm not one... one of the crowd
So good-bye. Good-bye blind eyes
I'm gonna find me a cat's eye
Good-bye. Good-bye blind eyes
I know what I want to see
So good-bye. Good-bye blind eyes
I'm gonna find me a cat's eye
Good-bye. Good-bye blind eyes
I know what I want to be
Now I'm done playing the fool
And I've paid all my childhood dues
I find the mountain much steeper to climb
Now I'm not one... one of the crowd?
finally someone who knows the song is called cats eye and not cat size.
Suzi may have used the words Cat's Eye in the lyrics... but the song title is definitely "Cat Size".
Susie Q 😎👍🏻
isn't she singing good bye cats eye!
in the lyrics she sings goodbye blind eyes, she doesn't actually sings cat size but "cat's eyes" in the lyrics..
Correct in the lyrics it is cat's eye, But if you look at her 1974 Album titled Quatro it's actually cat's size on the Album.
: )
really wtf
