It’s always nice to speculate on what any manufacturer might do next. I was about to repeat the idea that Toyota’s new 4cyl for the MR2/Celica might find it’s way into the GR Corolla/GR86(someday maybe) and then I saw the Mishka Nurburgring channel where a hyper modified GR Yaris blew by whatever he was driving like he was standing still. I understand that the tuners had crossed over into crazy town with GRs before BUT DAMN!!!😂 That little 3cyl is definitely The Little Engine That Could😁👍.
Amen brother. I was going to buy a 24 GR Corolla but went with a 24 Tacoma instead when I heard the MR2 was not to far from coming back. So I hope we get more news on the MR2 soon. Been following Kirk and David's news

Now that they have an auto they can adopt a hybrid powertrain. Then they can really bump up the power without addressing diff/trans/valve springs/cams/cooling. Also the 2025 GRC will indeed have added oil cooling. Toyota has also developed their own cooling unit for rear diff (and possibly Transfer case too) for their racing team.
For this edition I would hope Toyota puts focus on all aspects of cooling, as they are testing at Nurburgring. I can see them adopting hybrid setups in the future, but it will need additional engineering and cost unfortunately.
I’d say with the success of the GRC they will build a GRMN version. As a GRYCP owner the differences over the circuit pack on the Yaris GRMN are significant, suspension and in lap times especially. Id say the price gap over a Morizo will be just as big as the GRMN Yaris over the Circuit.
Yes, there success with the GR Branding in the US I see to em making more and more models. I hope we even get to the point of having one of the GR shops/dealers come to the US.
@@CarQuicks That would be great, I can see you’re impressed with the GR progress as much as I am. Any new model like the GRC and GRY in these times is a win.
@@CarQuicks I’m thinking we’ll see $120k price tags again or dealership owners keeping it for their personal collection. It really is a damn shame, but in that regard we should be able to “replicate” anything given to us.
So crazy seeing you here, im the tech that was fanboying over your grc at toyota of boerne while you were dealing with a bunch of the issues with the dealer
Found the video. It’s a Mishka Short video where he’s driving a supercharged E46 M3/chasing a Lamborghini…and then the GR Yaris passes him…To which he says…”What The Hell Is In That Yaris!”😂
A few friends of mine have a Circuit, I opted out due to wanting to modify certain things and just document the process. But the main part, that being the engine and drivetrain, once we learned they were shared across trims, it was an easy decision to go Core.
It sounds absolutely nuts to think about a $80K GR Corolla, but given how much a GRMN Yaris is and how much the Morizo was, and how much MORE they add to a GRMN model... its not a far-fetched idea.
The best thing they have coming is the new Celica which will run a new motor and AWD. To match a C8 or something like a Z06 they';d either have to use the rumored new MR2 or go grab an old nameplate like 2000GT. However, one could say the Lexus LFA was that answer too.
I’m at 40K miles modified, raced, road tripped… oh, and there are about 30,000 cars running around the globe with the same drivetrain. The odds are in our favor. 😂
I'm expecting it to be the equivalent of the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut.
Nothing less will be accepted.
That wing 👀😍
We need it.
We deserrrrve it!
Especially us OG Core owners who got the Taylor Swift version of the rear 😭

The 4 cylinder would be crazy in this car, but that cost would also move up to.
Toyota is gearing up to build the greatest hot hatch to ever touch American soil.
This is a great time to be a Toyota | Lexus enthusiast .

Here I was planning to buy a 2023/2024 Circuit tail end of 2025, but if that thing comes over... I'm shooting for that for sure...
This would be the only way to warrant me trading in, but the cost will be high.
there have also been rumors of supra GRMN version as well. Haven't seen anything concrete yet on it.
That has also been testing for sometime too, and the evidence strongly suggests that is also coming.
I'll be happy if they bring any version of the GR Corolla to the UK. 😭
Oh yeah, I forgot UK didn’t get any, but you do get A LOT of amazing vehicles we never will.

Basically it’s getting everything the Golf R has cooling wise. 💅🏿

FOX Leather! 🤗🤗
I said it like 4 times in my head and just went with it 😭😆😆 foxes aren’t safe out here.
My driveway needs to be a non existing Toyota truck that’s similar to a Ridgeline and a Corolla grmn and a lc500 for the weekends
A Toyota truck like a Ridgeline is an idea that I never thought of but it makes PERFECT sense!
Since the Morizo edition is no longer sold and there's no track focused trim anymore, this will likely replace it.
Very much so and a see a few other GRMN models coming.
good one
Thanks!
They should delete the lower part of the headlight, bet would look so cool
That’s not a bad idea!
when I see “GRMN” I see “available for all markets except USA” 😭
Toyota better not do us like that for a GR Corolla model. Though with how our dealerships act, expect this to be $80,000.

That’s an odd statement, they all can last I checked. 🤷🏾♂️
Toyota needs a supercar. Something to compete with the nissan gtr and chevy corvette

GRMN Cormnolla
This should be the beginning of more GRMN models in the US.
It’s a new gr Supra v8
I'd rather have a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder turbo engine.
4-cylinder would be a wild update and I’m all for it too!
You lost me at feelings instead of facts
