Wouldn’t let me reply on my comment that you replied back on. Just wanted to say thank you so much for the quick reply and answer. One thing I’ve noticed by doing that is that since only the reverb is being returned, if for example I have channels 1,2,4 being sent to the main fx reverb bus, although channels 1,2,4 are off on the mixbus for the IEM channel, and I’m sending the return fx to that IEM channel, the vocalist are able to hear their dry signal reverb. As in, the volume signal is off, but they are hearing the reverb signal being returned if that makes sense…
Sorry if I am asking a really stupid question here, but if your PA has a built in cross over/or and amp that does it do you still need to EQ your matrices
What is the best way to route your subs with the MR18? I like the Subs on Aux method, but where does the Matrices come in? No Matrix channels....use a group? I'm blanking on this.. Thanks!
Continuity flaw, originally you said 100 hz. Crossover points need to be set at the same frequency, no? In this educational video the frequencies from 80hz to 100 hz are missing from the system.
Hi Heather, you are correct, the video has a mistake made between 100hz and 80hz. In the example everything above 100hz is going to the tops. Everything below 100hz is going to the sub. But this can be 80hz or even up to 120 hz. Depending on the type of speakers and application.
I have an event next week with too many output needs, There are two hanging arrays, two subs, front fill, and outer fills. On some days only part of the seating area will be used, I was wanting to be able to turn off or down the top section of each array without bringing in a lift. I don't care or need the system to be stereo, Is it possible to create Matrix with Top, Bottom Arrays and Subs and the Outer Fills. I'll keep FF separate. Programing on Monday, open to any suggestions.
hi all i have setup M32 using a matrices for audio feed to a creche, however when i save the scene everything is saved EXCEPT for the MTX master level. All other Buses and LR are saved but each time mixer is powerd up the MTX master is at minium. Any idea on this, have checked scene safes and all seem to be correct
+KamoCubes We have a Mac app available called M32-EDIT. It's an entire offline and remote editor and can be downloaded directly from the M32 product page on Midasconsoles.com. Thanks!
+Sebastian Diaz Unfortunately you're still in the same situation. The Coleman SR5.1 Switcher allows you to A/B multiple monitors but doesn't pan & sum audio leaving the console.
+MIDAS Ok but what if I´m only using it as a control surface just for mixing in post?, thanks again, it is just that I find this console amazing and I think it has to be a way to mix in 5.1
+Josiah Maseya Hi, depending on what you're doing you can likely use Matrices and route them to Aux Output 1-6. Matrices can be sourced from MixBuses, Mono Bus, as well as the Main L/R Bus. Hope this helps!
The fastest way to route your master bus into the matrix is to select your masterbus. Use the arrows (right bottom corner from the screen) and use the potmeters (below the screen) to send to your matrix buses. Another option is to select your master bus. Press the view button on the bus sends area and use the encoders above to assign to the desired matrix
Alvin Mathew as far as I know it cannot be "reverse". Since the concept is group input channel(s) to bus, and Matrix is perform a grouping output from bus / main out.
Hello, will I have to link my matrices before I can have the stereo field? I've sent the LR feed alright to Matrices 1 & 2 but I wanted the ability to control each side seperately.I've realised I get only mono signals on each side...pls what am I doing wrong?
Although in this video it the frequency range seems to be chosen randomly, it is normal to not match you cut off frequencies (100/100). This is because low and hi cut filters slope off. The overlapping part of the frequency domain should cross at the -6dB point, so that when both elements are playing simultaneously, the addition of both elements ends up at 0 dB ( [-6dB]+[-6dB] )
@@alexandrosmusica then the frequencies could lay closer to one another. If I’m not mistaken the higher order filter do cause a bigger bump at the corner frequency and that makes getting a flatter crossover point harder. You could even think of combinations of different filter slopes to optimize the crossover.

In that case you don't even need to use matrices, just use your Main Left&Right outputs. Matrices are used to split up your LR mix if you need to.

Can we see the Midas m32 mixer console in a recording studio session useing logic pro daw program
Hi Paul, thanks for the suggestion, we will look into that!
Can you put matrices on outputs 13, 14. 15 and 16 or do they necessarily need to go on outputs 1-4?
You can put them on any output you want to.
If I route my FOX matrces on 13, 14, 15 and 16, what about the default FX routed to them and what is the implications?
is it possible to make it a 5.1 system for post by using the matrix?
+Sebastian Diaz Hi, not really. You can create a stereo MixBus or Subgroup however you won't be able to properly pan in surround.
+MIDAS what if I buy something like the Coleman audio 5.1 surround switcher?, will this help?, thanks for the quick response
+Sebastian Diaz Unfortunately you're still in the same situation. The Coleman SR5.1 Switcher allows you to A/B multiple monitors but doesn't pan & sum audio leaving the console.

Hello ! I updated my ipad to ios 15.7 and when I access the effects tab the app closes. could you help me with this app bug? Thanks
good day, can i ask how to send reverb on monitor mix, bus sends. ty so much
Rene Botones it can be done when u selected the FX Channel and use the bus sends knok or click send on bus control by right part fader
Hi Eric ! If my LR is on 15 and 16 how can I do. Output 1,2,3,4
Would like to know how to change the mactrix to Bus sends.

MIDAS Would you mind giving your input? I have the same question about this.
To get stereo mix then you have to link them together but if you unlinked them they are now mono.
how do I route aux out to another m32 in video room
From your Aux outputs to the other Midas input. If it's two auxillaries then send them into any two inputs in the other Midas mixer .
Thanks.
Why do you set the filters to 80/100Hz and not to 100/100 (or 80/80)?
Probably a mistake. When he explains it he says "anything over 80hz isnt going to my subs, and anything under 80hz isn't going to my tops"
I’m thinking that’s the frequency range for those speakers
Although in this video it the frequency range seems to be chosen randomly, it is normal to not match you cut off frequencies (100/100). This is because low and hi cut filters slope off. @@Ecmusicproductionschannel what if the slope is steep 48dB/oct, like the slopes on the fabfilter eq, but yeah for midas m32 you are right.

Hi Juan, you can find it just underneath the front of the console on your right hand side
