Dear Lady, According to the laws of physics, if a force is greater than the structure, it can be destroyed without a crack. The length of years in the church is no guarantee that one will remain in the church or withstand the 21st-century-designed temptation. Many "bright lights will grow dim" (out). Our only hope and surety is being fortified in Jesus through prayer and the daily study of the Word. I hope this helps.
How do i get my 13-year-old to enjoy bible study and really have a desire to know GOD'S word. Hes a child thats always bored. Hes doesnt like reading. Hes an active child. Loves sports and to play instruments. When you ask him to explain anything he uses his hands rather than his mouth. It's almost as if everyone has to be moving.
I'd say just keep encouraging him, keep filling him with Gods word daily, praying with and for him and be the best Christ-filled example to him. Eventually he will develop his own relationship with God and his the word for himself but just give it time. I'm 20 and though I grew up in an Adventist home, went to Adventist school and went to church weekly, I'm just now, in my 20’s really developing my own personal relationship with God and I have never felt more free. Saying all that to say, your Job is to just lay a biblical foundation, you can't force him. Keep laying that foundation and giving it to God and eventually, your son will desire his own relationship with God.
I think it is important that we study to show ourselves approved...and be ready to give an answer for what we believe. I think church has moved away from teaching the congegation how to stand and give a reason for our faith... as a result, many can no longer be called the people of the book
*The Writings of Ellen White in the SDA Church -- 2* (Setting The Record Straight: Adventists and Ellen White ) The genuineness of any modern manifestation of the prophetic gift must be recognized and demonstrated by meeting the Biblical tests. There are four (4) sure biblical tests by which it would be checked were recognized as (1) Conformity “to the law and to the testimony” (Isaiah 8:20) (2) Fidelity to the true principles of the faith (Deuteronomy 13:1-5). (3) Wholesome character of the fruits they bring forth (1 John 4:1-3; Matthew 7:10). (4) Fulfillment of its predictions (Deuteronomy 18:20-22).
Why do we need a religious umbrella? Why do we need Adventist, Baptist, Catholic especially, or any other title? Why can't we read the Bible to understand the instructions of God? Belief systems are our downfall. We should let the word of God be truth and every man a lie.
You're right. And this isn't how God wanted it. But because satan likes to create confusion there are different religions and denominations. The Bible says there is a specific flock that all others will be called in to. So that flock has to be set apart from others by name and characteristics. Until we are truly one when Christ returns
*The Writings of Ellen White in the SDA Church -- 1* The person is taught the truth from Scripture alone, and once all the doctrines have been clearly presented from Scripture, then the Spirit of Prophecy is presented last as a complement (not a supplement of the Bible). This is not done because the Spirit of Prophecy is of secondary importance. The function of the writings of Ellen White is not to supplement Scripture but rather to complement it! Ellen White *magnifies, explains, amplifies, simplifies, and highlights* the great truths of Scripture but does not add any new truth!! I hope this helps
J3sus 8s the3 truth as in he is the true way of living. But saying Jesus is truth is quite disingenuous imo. Truth can't just be a person or even God Himself because truth covers everything and everyone. But yet we don't know the truth of many things. I wish we would say the Spirit is truth as the Holy Spirit is said to bring us into all truth John 16:13. Knowing truth and being able to live it by the spirit is better than just getting excited and putting the word truth simply on Jesus. That means little. God needs to make truth more prevalent imo
Agreed... We have to knownwhat we believe, why we believe it and how we Biblically Support what we believe.
Where is the NOW series you mentioned??
I was wondering the same thing. Where can I find it?

Where can I find this “now” series? I'm interested in watching it

Ellen White add to and contradicts Scriptures. By Biblical standards, she is a false prophet.
