Similar to the guy that asked about this fitting in a mk4 Vr6, would this fit a mk5 24v vr6? I prefer mounting the supercharger on the same side as the pulleys. Another question, how much can you articulate the supercharger when mounted? Ideally I would mount it on the left side like yours, and have the exit port route down towards the radiator(where an eventual intercooler would go) in order to have minimal piping. Sweet build!
The kit I've seen with this charger for the MK5 has the charger located on the transmission side, with a pulley shaft that goes across under the intake manifold. I don't think there's enough room on the engine side for the charger without significant cutting modifications to the fender & subframe components. Pretty sure that's the reason most superchargers I've seen on the MK5 are not located there. I have not seen any of the RUF/VF/Z-engineering kits mounted with the supercharged clocked differently to allow for a downward output arrangement, but then I really have not seen many of these kits in the wild at all. They were and continue to be pretty rare compared to the Vortech based kits. The ones that I've seen using intercooling have done so with a cylindrical air-water intercooler mounted between the charger and throttlebody, and only on a Mk3 where there's a little more room compared to a Corrado. If I were to attempt something along those lines on my R32, I'd probably go the HPA route with an AWIC built into the intake manifold to allow the intercooling there post throttlebody. But on a Mk5, that's unknown territory for me. I do know RUF made a killer AWIC intake manifold for the 24V VR6 but I have no idea if it's still available.
Hi friend, I have a Passat B6 VR6 3.2, I asked VF Engineering if I can install a supercharger and they told me that there is no space in the engine bay, but I've seen videos here of some Passat's with this supercharger, I don't understand why VF Engineering said that.
Anything's possible if you're willing to spend the time to modify parts to make it work. VF likes to put together a kit that does not require any modification to work, and with their current business model they probably don't want to get into doing one-off custom work, instead of their kits that are already engineered, done, ready to bolt on without unforeseen issues. If you've seen Passats out there on the internets with a supercharger, I'd recommend trying to track them down and see what they needed to do to make it work, just so you know what you're getting into before you start the process. There's a VR6 S/C and Turbo group on Facebook that may be helpful, lots of custom applications in there that have made it work in plenty of cars that it should not fit in.
Technically, it would mount up, but the plumbing would be completely different. There is a different kit that works for your application, you can contact Carlicious for info.

@@CliffjumperCars thanks for the help with that. Also did you use a mk3 maf or the factory one? And as for ecu did you use the stock Corrado one? I switch to a 4in mk3 maf and read you should swap to mk3 obd1 maf however car was running good with Corrado ecu besides maf not working
@@conradmarchewka5 To use the Mk3 MAF you have to convert to OBD2, which involves quite a bit of work: changing the wiring harness, ECU, sensors, valve cover, throttlebody, etc (not a complete list of different parts). My car is still set up with the original OBD1 wiring & ECU, other than extending the MAF harness to relocate that below the supercharger.
What are you using for engine management? I too have the kit from VF but they seem to not be able to tune my engine and runs lean under load. Thank You in Advance.
@@ductruong5649 Yes, OEM ECU with Blitz software. Not sure that tuner is still in existence, but it's an off the shelf chip. Currently I'm aware of chips available from BBM in North America (C2 tuning sold through them) and DubForce Tuning in the UK.
@@CliffjumperCars Thank you again for all your help I was able to obtain the chip through BBM North America which showed up today. Have a great weekend!

Hell yeah
By chance are you running ac and power steering? If so can you point me to the correct belt needed?
