I am no expert on rocking stones, currently not even informed about any true ones. But I just have to assume, the bizarre formation of these glacier-stacked rocks is just too intriguing to people, that they so passionately defend their position. The likelihood of two rocks remaining stacked through obstacles like earthquake, flood and storms and time in general seems to demand a pretty perfect match. Imagine how many rocking rocks used to exist before tipping, never to be seen or debated about. Not being the inspiration for stories about their mysterious origin, not admired or phantasized about. Maybe it is the nature of human perception that makes it seem so close to be able to be rocked, ignoring the sheer weight of such a volume of granite, not taking into account that even with a small contact surface, gravity just pulls them together.
I recall reading an old article by a woman who claimed she remembered both when, as a young girl, the 'Drum Rock" in Warwick, Rhode Island was able to be rocked, and also when it later stopped being able to be rocked (still its current condition). Unfortunately, I couldn't tell you at this moment the exact source for this.
You should check out the long forgotten, and still widely unknown “teeter rock” in Petersham near Carter Pond. There may be other entrances to access the unmarked trail but as far as I know the only road access is an old driveway/homesite located at (42.4433979, -72.1871200). Teeter rock is to my best guess somewhere around (42.4419290, -72.1836020) within the raccoon hill wildlife management area with one main path that loops around to teeter rock. Its one of those areas that is best to get lost in since its not too big, and a lot of cool stuff is located about 10-100ft off trail.
It struck me from the first picture you showed of it that the rock was probably so named because it is shaped like a cradle, not because it rocked. Just a case of someone stretching the metaphor too far. Silly humans!
I nominate Sneaker Rock, located off of the paved path up to the Governor Dick Tower in the mountains near Mt. Greta Pa.,as a successor to Gradle Rock.

If Cradle Rock did Rock i am sure it would have been blown down in 1953 and F-5 Tornado went through that area starting in Worcester as some call it Warcester the Tornado travelled east for about 50 miles destroying homes and building and killing around 90 people also if you notice the trees in that area that's not and old Growth Forest but a Secondary Forest that tells me the Worcester Tornado blew through that area Worcester and Barre MA are located in central Ma thats where New England Tornado alley begins

Hitchcock was one of the most notable professors of the 19th c. at my college, but I wonder if that illustration was done by his wife, Orra White Hitchcock. She used to turn his doodles and diagrams into more “professional” art and large format posters for his teaching. Although “professional” is kind of misleading- her work has a kind of untrained charm to it. Look up the drawing she made of a kraken attacking a ship!
Now jokers will be hiking out there with bottle jacks to test that theory. In the 90's a buddy and I whom I had worked with in the Gulf doing private military work went out to a remote spot in the desert to do some camping, shooting, hiking and hunting. We went on a hike up a canyon with our AR-15s looking for rabbits. He stayed down in the canyon and I hiked the ridgeline above. I stepped out on a rock that was as big as the top rock there. That thing had been there for millions of years undisturbed and looked to be anchored way better than those in your video. That rock rocked! I had to jump off of it and being a former Marine and current private military worker my first instinct was to protect my rifle so I landed on a bunch of sharp rocks hugging my AR-15 rather than tossing it and trying to break my fall. I gouged my shin open and bruised my back bad enough that I still have back problems today from that. The avalanche I caused almost killed my buddy below and he had run for his life to get out of the way of that boulder and all the others that were dislodged. If I were to climb up on that rock or crawl under it with my luck that thing would decide to pick that moment to rock.
