- Hey guys so exactly 18 months or one and a half years ago I ceramic coated my Evo X with Carpro Cquartz UK 3.0.
so I figuired I should do an update on how the coating is doing on a daily driver.
you can see the video where I applied the coating by clicking the link below.

Great video, UK3.0 seems to have fantastic longevity. I coated my daily a bit over 2 years ago with UK3.0. It's held up pretty good, applied toppers at 6 month intervals and at the 2 year mark gave it a once over with Carpro Essence plus. Did wonders for the coating and I have no doubt it will easily last another year
I'm actually considering going over with essense plus in a month or so as I have some here but haven't used it
Great video brother
Thanks mate
Thanks for sharing this
Thanks for watching
I hate applying ceramic coatings. I do it at work weekly, and I'm no good at applying them.
That being said, I've been most impressed with CarPro Cquartz UK 3.0. I had it on one side of my gf's Jeep and it was just awesome. 2 layers of UK 3.0 and 1 layer of Gliss.
Very nice product, and great demonstration.
Good to hear UK 3.0 has worked well for you, it's the coating I have the most experience with and have always had great results
Thank you 🙂👍
Thanks Ian 🍻
Has lasted well overall for sure
Hoping another 6 months and then time to start again haha
You should try the Cquartz SiC on your next coating. It's super slick compared to UK 3.0.
Definitely want to try SIC eventually
Or use the Gliss top coat.
CQUARTZ UK definitely has good longevity. The one question we all want to know is... How much power is that thing making??? 🤣
Hahaha it makes just under 300kw at the wheels, heaps of videos on my other channel if you wanted to see more of it

Have always wanted to ceramic coat my car but am a little spooked to try.
Will you be making a how to video at all?
Yes, definitely will in the future
You could start with something like CarPro Lite, which is based on Cquartz UK 3.0. It's supposed to be even easier to use, but after using pro only coatings at work, both are super easy. I have a difficult time discerning the difference between Cquartz Lite and UK 3.0 in terms of application and removal.
Another option would be to try CarPro Gliss. It's the easiest of their glass bottle coatings to use, something I'd recommend to someone wanting to start using ceramic coatings without the worry of screwing anything up.
Gliss was designed to replace Reload as a way to top UK 3.0. Instead of lasting months Gliss is said to last a year. It works great as a stand alone paint rotectant, and as a top coat for both Lite and UK 3.0.
It has the same suede/foam block application method as UK and other pro coatings so it will give you that "feel". A lot of guys like using microfiber applicators, but I have no use for them they're messy, inaccurate, and wastes a lot of the expensive coating. Lite does come with microfiber applicators, but I preferred the traditional foam block / suede microfiber swatch they include with their more high end coatings.
@@danlc95 I've done a video on lite and sadly I felt it was actually harder to apply then UK 3.0 purely because I could do a larger area with 3.0 and It could be levelled down easier after a minute or so of flashing.
Yet to try gliss though but I really should get onto it soon
I see you use a ryobi pressure washer whats the metal spray attachment you fitted to wash off everything looks to work a lot better then ryobi std one?
Hey mate I upgraded to a quick release and added an extension wand.
These can all be found on eBay
I see you are in QLD, where do you get your detailing supplies?
Hey mate, lots of different online shops including waxit, Mirch, platinum potions ect.
For in store car care products is great and have a large range
Whyd didn't you use Reload?
I don't like Reload, streaky smeary and doesn't really last I prefer hydro2 and even elixir over Reload
How many layers are this?
Hi it has 2 layers
Thanks.
Thanks 🍻
The surface is not as shiny as from a wax?
A wax wouldn't have lasted half the amount of time to be honest.
The shine and gloss is mostly from the polishing stage though but generally a wax will look better than a coating.
But with a coating you can always top it with a gloss enhancing product every fee washes
Do you use carpro reload?
No I can't say I'm the biggest fan but I've tested it out a few times
It's shit, not tried version 2.0 though
