  • In today's video I'll be making an electromagnetic clamp, to hold the metal pieces I cut on the plasma table, making it easier and quicker to clean them. In the past, I've have to clamp each piece to the welding bench, clean it, then move the clamp to clean the area under the clamp's head. Then unclamp it, turn the piece over, clamp it, and repeat the process.
With this electromagnetic clamp, made from 4 x 180kg electromagnets used for door locking mechanisms, and a 240VAC to 12VDC 10 amp power supply, it's as easy as laying the piece on the magnets, turning the power on and start cleaning.
This allows me to hold multiple small parts at once, speeding up the cleaning process...time is money!

Thanks Jim. If you check out Amazon or eBay, search for 'electromagnetic door lock'...there's plenty to choose from.

There is several recipes on P-Spider for plaz-fluid, did you ever try any Laundry Soda? That is what I am using it kills rust and disinfects the water also. I can treat 350 gals with 3 ea. 55 oz box's for less then a $20.
Google the following to find the stuff (I'm sure they sale it down-unda too)
"ARM & HAMMER Super Washing Soda Household Cleaner and Laundry Booster, Versatile Natural Home Cleaner, Powder Laundry Additive and Cleaner, 55 oz Box)"
This is sodium carbonate which has a higher PH than sodium bicarbonate (aka baking soda) swimming pool / spa stores should carry it as well.
You want to keep your water's PH above 10 so get some PH test strips as well..
You owe me a TED or two for that advise 😎😎
