Bravo. The reverberation on the last chord is something we would never hear on the piano in a usual recital hall.

The 1890 Cavaillé-Coll still sounds amazing. Great transcription!

I knew this would work well on the right instrument. Amazing!

The right instrument is the piano. What are you talking about? Are you questioning Prokofiev? It's a brilliant piano masterpiece. Much more difficult on the piano, I might add. No pedals to help out. Of course that final pedal passage here is astounding. And this organ transcription is brilliant. But why diss the original?

@@djmotise First of all, I didn’t criticize the composition or Prokofiev. Secondly, I wasn’t “questioning” him, as you put it. Thirdly, there is no right or wrong instrument. However, the transcription works just as well on the organ as it does on the piano. Fourthly, by “right instrument”, I meant an organ that is versatile in terms of registration abilities and quality of tone. With that said, the piece could be played on any organ or piano, or any other realistic instrument. Finally, in terms of organs, I think Cavaille-Coll instruments tend to be better suited for some 20th century piano transcriptions. I hope that helps. Cheers!

Gee, imagine being able to hit those too-closely intertwined Morse code thingees on a completely different keyboard - not fair!
