August 1992 I was driving a '72 Dodge Challenger I was trying to rebuild. It was after 2am on I 43 outside Delavan WI going north to Milwaukee when the original come on some station out of Rockford. When I looked at the speedometer it was just over 100mph and that was all the old Dodge POS could manage. Middle of the nowhere. Windows down. Radio screaming. I was 20 years old and never so alive. Thanks for the original and thanks for the redux. Thanks for the chance to be 20 again for 4 minutes. I will take it
Song is a true gift. The lyrics the harmonies, the guitar just wonderful work. I've loved it for decades and I get hope & good vibes from it. Thank you KURT, thank you BoDeans. Still miss Sammy too.
To much is forced in this life, to many people trying to b what they ain’t and this allows less love for yourself and if you never love yourself, you can never love another. This song helps me more than any other to not only have hope, but actual belief, that good things will come!✌🏼
Great story, great song, and loved the video - I have many Bodeans favorites, but this is one of them. Always enjoy the vibe and the feeling this song produces!
Being from Wisconsin....man this song is so special to me. Huge fan. A friend of mine and I recorded a cover of it last year on the Smule app. Just being able to even sing it in some capacity, there's such an energy. Thank you for sharing this with the world 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks for writing and performing one of my all-time favorite songs! Would you be willing to share how you are able to get that particular tone for the guitar flourishes, with an almost saxophone-like quality? That is one of the nicest I've heard. I'm using a modelling amplifier and would love to be able to reproduce it.
@@LeoHMIII It's more than that - I'm curious about the amplifier setting and plug-ins that create that saxophone-like tone, independent of the string bending, for the guitar solos.
Saw the BoDeans in Indianpolis in the mid-90s. The crowd was a bit rowdy and kept yelling for "Goodthings." The band wasn't too happy about it, and their aggravation was evident in the concert. The show was a bit tense, but it was nice to see them live.
The best version of the best song. I love singing along.
Honestly after all these years I still get goosebumps every time I hear this song! Much love Kurt you are the best!!
I walked down the aisle to this song. Thank you, Kurt!
I EFFING LOVE 'Good Things' ❤️❤️❤️

One World Theater - brilliant show.
One of my faves with such a positive message. The chords are just so melodic coupled with the harmony!
Beautiful
My favorite love song.
First saw you at your first album release party at a bar In Milwaukee. A fan ever since. See you August 6 at Utepils in Minneapolis.

He's using a tremolo/whammy bar to bend a lot of the notes, during the solos. Not sure if that's what you're talking about. It does sound very cool.

Missing our sing along guy. What’s the deal?
