- I'm super excited to test out the new Nova body on the Team Associated No Prep car, but I made a small modification to the Proline Primes tires first....
The Street Eliminator B5M is a blast and seems to be getting faster. Let me know if you want to see more RC Drag Racing videos in the comments below!

Awesome freakin car man it looks amazing very nice
been thinking of getting into the RC drag racing I have a
Slash 4x4 vxl sitting around collecting dust would love to build it
but 4X4 thinking of the DR10 & start there oh well happy bashing bro.
Thank you! The DR10 is a great starting platform
My audio was messing up about 0.24
Thanks for the heads up!
I took some rubber tires off a 1/43scale nascar die cast inside of some bearings they even say Goodyear eagle #1 on them and have not had a problem with them yet
color is very cool!
Thank you!
Love the color combination.
Looks like a true modern classic.
Thank You!!
Nice paint job on the Nova body👍👍👍
Thanks! :)
Thanks for doing the experimenting so we don't have to! Worked great!
Sure did! Thanks!
Awesome video the Nova looks good
Thanks!
Them tires! Genius bud! Overall great video. Appreciate it!
Thank you! I found the idea for the tires online so I can't take all the credit 😜
Thanks , great simple upgrade. That YENKO look Freaking great, good job...👍😎
Thank you!!
Nice build looks great with new body
Thanks!
Sexy car. At first I thought that it was full size
Thanks! Seems like a good bit of people thought it was real on first glance
Love that nova body I'm a huge nova fan
Thank you!
Looks awesome 😎
Thanks!
Awesome mod
👍👍
Looking good!
Thank You!
due to the shortage of tires available lately , i had been thinking about trying the 2.2 ‘s . Thx for the info, i feel more confident in experimenting with some other sizes now
Glad I could help! I like the 2.2s for No Prep
Cars leaving straight and staying off the bars 👌
Yep! Going to try to get a little more wheel speed off the line
You can use the glue that comes with bike patches kit
That's the stuff I was trying to find but couldn't find at the time!
This is a great video I’m trying to get a slash or bandit so I can build a car but no luck so far so I’m gonna keep looking
Thank you!
Awesome vid. Just got the new dr10 drag car. I love the no prep stuff.
Thanks! It looks like an awesome platform. I've been pointing everyone asking me about no prep builds in the direction of the DR10. May have to get my hands on one, one day.
FullThrottleRC thanks fir the info that you put out also bro. I subscribed to you channel because of how you explain your work.
FullThrottleRC I did a quick unboxing of my dr10.
I love the pro mod bodies! You should get a 41 willy's pro mod body, those are my favorite.
Thanks! I don't believe anyone makes those just yet unfortunately.
Awesome👍
Thank you!

How did the tire balance change after you belted them?
I used to race touring cars on asphalt with rubber tires, even the factory mounted belted or capped radials tires were needing balanced.
Seems like not being balanced would show its negative effects shortly after launch.
Even in 1/10th scale aerodynamics plays a big factor on how a car handles. The flat n square front will be faster pushing the air out away from the body, IF, you can keep it down.
The more wedge or rounded bodies will create more downforce with more drag, slowing you down.
Tune to the body you plan to run, changing bodies will not have the same handling characteristics even with like type fronts ends. Run “x” body, and have a spare.
The tires are still pretty balanced after adding the belting. The start points of each layer are 180 degrees apart so that one side isn't heavier than the other. I did try balancing the tires afterwards and the difference was so small I didn't even worry about balancing when I replaced these tires.
As for the body situation, I find the Nova body produces more drag with its blunt nose, but the main difference is in the launch. The C7, with its pointy nose, keeps the front end down while the Nova liked to wheelie until I added a splitter. Downforce is actually really important in drag racing. At high speeds, we need a lot of force pushing down on the car to keep it from "taking off".
Hi. Great video. What was it with the belted tyres that did not work for you? I was looking for belted tyres but now I'm not sure anymore....
I just felt the belted tires were too stiff. They work well when you get up to speed but for me, there was no give in the tire for the launch
You need to let contact cement dry first. It holds way better then.
I guess it's because this was a cheap kind but I found it wouldn't hold the drywall tape in place if I let it dry first.
@@FullThrottleRC
Maybe so. If it doesn't feel tacky when it dries I wouldn't buy it anymore.
When you say torque limiting, do you mean the punch control settings. There is a torque limiting adjustment also in the castle programming.
Not the punch control. There is a torque limiting function but you have to perform a motor test before you can use the function
FullThrottleRC
Thanks for response. I am familiar with both settings. Nova paint job came out awesome. Ive been racing the Slash 2wd for a few years. . You inspired me to go with associated platform. Went with the rc10 b6.1DL and bought the sc6.1 chassi. Took the same path you did. Very happy with this set up. Mid motor seems to be better. I will find out in the spring. Thanks for inspiration.
@@customfastrc7671 Glad to hear!!! Thanks for the support
✝️🇺🇸👍 good looking car
Thank You
Thank you!! 👍
Where did you get those bead lock rings? I have the same rims but the red ring! Your ring is soooo dope!
The wheels in this video are the Proline Titus 2.2 beadlocks. These rings came with the wheels, they are black with Proline, USA machined into them. Proline #2713-15, unfortunately they are discontinued, but the 2.2 Faultline is very similar. The main difference being they require a center hub.
What to do to get started in rc drag racing.
Id suggest checking out the Associated DR10. Perfect platform for a beginner. Watch a bunch of videos on how to set up and tune your car. It's a blast!
@@FullThrottleRC Thanks
good job on them tires what do you think would be a good more powerful motor then the trinity one?
Trinity makes a few lower turn motors but I think this motor still has some more power in it!
Looks great!!! What are you hoping for 2.5s ET?
I'm not really sure. I was topping out at around 47mph with the old motor so I'm hoping to be in the 50s at least. Not sure what to expect ET wise yet
FullThrottleRC I just tested my Drag slash for the first time, with 2s fastest pass was 2.81 @ 49 mph, I did have a 50 mph pass but was slower ET
Nice!! Tuning changes can never be made / recommended correctly without seeing the car in person. It would all be guess work and wrong info
Thank you!! You are 100% correct about it being a guessing game. I try to get the best footage I can so that viewers can try to see what I'm doing, but there's no way for a viewer to get a feel for the weight of my car or how that weight affects the car. I will say slow motion video not only looks cool, but it's a great tool for tuning!
What did you have to do to make the c7 pro mod body fit? I am having problems fitting it on my sc6.1. The front wants to hit the hood.
Im not sure, I didn't have any trouble. I've used the SC body mounts and the DB10 mounts and they both worked fine
Hi brow to you drive The Longer Suspension Arms from de T5m or The Normal from the b5m thx Manuel
Everything is from the B5M except the main chassis plate which is from the SC5M
What motor and battery you have in that setup
Trinity Drag Master 4.5t. I use SMC shorty lipos as well as a Gens Ace shorty pack.
Got another question bro. Can you make one of those rear shocktower extensions for
a b6.1 rear graphic tower?
I don't have a b6.1 so I wouldn't be able to make one unless I could find a model of the tower online to design it around.
Hi brow how do You brint The weeli bar holter for The b5 how i Fount them i haven't a printer thx Good car
I need one of those wings. Is that possible? Nice work
The wing is the wing that comes with the Proline 1969 Nova body.
What compound are those primes you are taping? M3 or m4.thanks bro
I'm running the clay compound which I believe is MC or M3
That body is beautiful. What color is that ?
Thank you!!
The color is Proline Candy Blood Red. I have a video covering how I painted this body on my channel if you are interested.
@@FullThrottleRC TY so very much for the info Sir .
Hi can you Make a Video from the Weelybar Please you do You bulid it on your b5m thx Manuel from Austria
The wheelie bar is from the RC racing innovations and its mounted using a 3d printed mount from Shapeways. The link to the mount is in the description on the RC Racing Innovations wheelie bar page.
I just bought the mamaba x controller but have yet to get a castle link. What does the torque limiter do?
From what I've noticed, it helps reduce the amount of torque the motor can apply which helps with launches. I didn't care for the launch control function much but maybe I just needed to experiment with it a little more.
@@FullThrottleRC oh ok. I race dirt oval with a sc6 and some supersoft de tires and they turn into pizza cutters real quick lol that should help me coming out of the turn to the straight away. Once i hit that throttle it gets squirrelly unless i ease into it.
@@jeffbryner5355 It very well could. I'm still learning what it can do myself. Good Luck
Do you make the shock mount extensions for sale, i have a sc5m that im converting into a drag car, thank you al.
,
At this moment I do not. The files are available online though where you can print one yourself or get it printed by a friend or one of the services online.
@@FullThrottleRC ok where can i find the file , also what foams are used in the rear tires.
@@alyarmak9871 its on cult3d.com and I believe there is a link in the description. I use the factory foams that came in the Prime 2.2 tires
@@FullThrottleRC thank you
@@FullThrottleRC cult3d.com appears to be a porn site!
What kv are you running
I run a 3.5t motor
What tire exactly did you use? Is it the Proline Reactions????
Proline Primes 2.2 truck tires
Had someone let me try their reactions and they run great. Just bought a set and I have them softening as we speak
What wheelie bar is that and mount im doing same build
Wheelie bar is from RC Racing Innovations. The mount is a 3D printed part from Shapeways that was linked in the description of the wheelie bar.
Do you still have the file for the printed shock tower?
Yep! It's available on cults3d.com
What paint did you use ?
Proline lexan paints is what I used mainly now. I have a video on painting this body on my channel
What color red is that
Proline candy red
What color did you back it with
anybody have the 3d files for the rear shock tower he mentioned?
They're on cults3d.com. Search ftrc and you'll find the files.
@@FullThrottleRC love the design and vids, thanks again
Hey full throttle how you doing hope everything is well you got that sheville ironed out going straight head ask you a question I picked up one of those Trinity Drag Racing motors like you have I also picked up in ESC it has 2 Dean connectors on it 2 are red and other 2 are red in black do you know by any chance if I need to batteries or a connector it's a 150 W amp ECM Hey man hope you could help me out hope you put that oil silicone in those shocks thank you for your help and time Jason
www.ebay.com/itm/QUICRUN-WP-8BL150-Waterproof-Brushless-For-Hobbywing-150A-ESC-For-1-8-Car-Buggy/302799202253?pageci=19ffd51a-5ddc-4225-9c27-2bfb7a6d3ba7
That esc is wired to run 2 batteries in series, meaning you could plug 2 2s lipos into it to run 4s or 2 3s lipos for 6s for example. If you wanted to run a single battery you would need to remove those connectors and replace them with one connector using the red and black wires coming directly from the ESC. Hope that helps!
Where you from New Orleans? You have the accent
Not exactly from New Orleans. I'm about an hour west of New Orleans.
You from Louisiana?
