Great idea, better than sleeping on the streets. For those who haven’t a clue about shipping container living please educate yourself and look it up right here on RUclips. You would be amazed

It's a roof homelessness can cause a mental break Down a roof and washing up gets a job bounce back for the ones that started over.only people that haven't experienced it would just talk bad about it. It's a start God bless that city

@@stephenSO11 Well, clearly you haven't experienced concentration camps.
I cosplayed at the US Holocaust museum in Washington DC.
The first thing you do is receive a passport from a real person, and your survival is obscured until the end. Next you walk past a massive pile of discarded shoes that were recovered from one of the actual concentration camps. Lastly, you enter the museum through the entrance to human gas chamber/incineration rooms.
Based on this past 18°F Atlanta morning, that looks like a GOD send.

@@john2g1 So what you’re telling me is that if it does not look exactly like what you described then it can’t be a concentration camp? All concentration camps follow precisely the same protocols? Gimme a break….. it’s a concentration camp.

@@stephenSO11 No I'm say all of the depressing s*** that comes with your impending murder is starkly different from have a roof over your head with temperature control.
If we're using your rules what's the difference between a trailer park and a concentration camp?
I'm sure it's a sh**hole in comparison to wherever you are now. However, it ain't hell on earth either (that's the concentration camp).

As a person who has survived Afghanistan summers +120°F and Serbian winters -8°F in a metal box I can say what's 100% confidence metal boxes are amazing.
Additionally, they are highly preferred over interstate bridges and abandoned warehouses. You know the current homeless solutions in Atlanta.

These are not just plain old shipping containers. They are built inside like a home. People make luxury houses from them. It's a just a starting material for walls

What a horrific idea 🤦‍♂️👎 … just awful in every way. Aside from them looking god-awful, now it will attract homeless by the thousands 😮 (20,000 by 2030, the village idiot is boasting). The surrounding areas will be crime-ridden, real estate will drop, revenue will decrease which will only force them to raise taxes … and that’s just the economic aspect.
Insofar as the social ramifications, drug use will be rampant which will attract dealers fighting each other for the homeless market, women will be assaulted now that there will be privacy in which to do what they couldn’t do before in the confines of these units, trash / waste will explode, and the list goes on.
There is ZERO upside for the residents currently living and working in the area. They just want that juicy grant money 💰 which will be funneled to their developers, who in turn will give it back to the politicians in the form of campaign donations. And you know that the grant money will find itself into other businesses of other donors (and hopefully not their own pockets), all in the name of helping the needy. This isn’t the answer.

Are you one of those open borders but not in my backyard types? Notice how you only have concerns for yourself, but have no qualms about letting a single mother with child potentially sit out in the cold all night because of your "not in my neighborhood" mentality. People like you are why we can't seem to solve the problem, hence why you whine about it, but never have a solution, right? You see, its you is more concerned with money, i.e. your mortgage, and potential resale value. You sound miserable, and like you belong on a desert island away from civilization. These types of construction projects are cheap, and easy to conceal. Maybe conceal your mouth, since no one cares about your house other than you sweetie.
