Yeah, it's 2 years late, but I knew that Gurren Lagann was the inspiration for his design and I love it. His theme before transforming into Mettaton SPIRAL took inspiration from one of the songs of Gurren Lagann while still sounding like Undertale/Inverted Fate. Amazing job to everyone involved in Inverted Fate.
For something that was made in Scratch (which why Scratch of all things?), this is pretty amazing!

No, it's Mettaton. Napstablook and MTT do not swap in Inverted Fate. In fact, most characters do not swap. You can learn more about the AU at invertedfate.com/chapters. It's not a version of Underswap, but its own AU!

It's normal Mettaton. His robot body was just designed by Undyne and Papyrus in this universe. Mad Dummy/Mad Mew Mew does exist in IF and does have a pretty large role to play in the Hotland arc, but she's got her own thing going on. :o If you want a better idea of the story, the full comic's at invertedfate.com and is pretty extensive (albeit on hiatus).

@@kaloz429mobile9 basically: papyrus had to do something in 1 room, and undyne used that to lock the door, so papyrus can't go with frisk and help them
Which is why at the end we see mettaton helping to bypass the firewall from undyne so the door is opened and papyrus come to rescue frisk
