I love how Asgore owns up to his mistakes and admits he’s been cowardly hiding in the Ruins while in Undertale Toriel shows up to smack Asgore in the gut with a fireball, spare him, proceed to call him out for a plan that their children tried and failed, and not own up to her own cowardice and hypocrisy. Such a dynamic contrast in actions really shows how these characters really express themselves(idk)
its why i sometimes prefer Asgore over Toriel, while Asgore has done some questionable things in his time, he is willing to own up to the mistakes in time, while Toriel is kindhearted she isn't as willing to own up to her mistakes, rather blames everyone else, though here it's more Justified for Toriel to blame Asgore but in UT not so much.

The fact Flowey used his Omega forms attacks and powers while staying in a regular flower form made it even more terrfiying. Made the visual switch from this cutesy and happy Flower to this utter twisted maniac of a monster so much more jarring in the best way possible.

I don't even know where to begin with how AWESTRUCK I am at this masterpiece. You are an inspiration to so many for this divine work of literature, art and music. This story keeps breaking records and continues to amaze. If one were new to the Undertale fandom, then Inverted Fate would seem like the canon story while Undertale would seem like an average fandmade prequel. Best author ever.

Okay, so. Everyone's said something about the major parts of this - the new Flowey sprites, the crushing despair as Flowey drops his facade, the various twists and turns this took, speculation about what his plan may be based on what we see in the post-credits - and I don't really have a lot more to add to that, so instead I'm going to draw focus to some of the less noticeable aspects of the video.
For example! The parallels between Flowey and Undyne drawn here! Not what I expected, but it does make sense considering she was effectively the main antagonist while Flowey was keeping up his facade. More specifically, both have a conflict in which they believe that Frisk manipulated their close friend to stay by their side (Papyrus for Undyne, Chara for Flowey) and both have a personal grievance with said friend because they feel they don't trust them anymore. Of course, the context is different for each; Undyne was always aware that Papyrus was willingly helping Frisk on some level, she just kept denying it because it was easier to believe otherwise, whereas Flowey is the absolute KING of denial and will probably need a lot of convincing to realize that Chara just genuinely warmed up to Frisk during their journey together. As for the friends in question, Papyrus never intended to alienate Undyne, as he was just trying to keep his promises to Asgore and Frisk as best he could, whereas Chara...well, yeah, Flowey was right on the money, they DON'T trust him, but not for the reasons he thinks.
Also, the fact that Sans doesn't chip in during the failed "Don't Give Up!" moment! Makes sense for him - if I had to guess, he probably (correctly) guessed that Flowey was just messing with Frisk and wasn't actually going to do anything to them, gave up entirely because he felt the situation was hopeless, or some combination of both.
Yeah, Sans was pretty upset on top of just.... not wanting to give Flowey the satisfaction of making upset comments. Also Flowey was constricting him SUPER tihgt. But, eyyy! Nice observations about those parallels. :) There's some neat stuff to consider here.
Honestly, shocked this AU is still going on. Most aus get cancelled halfway in development. This is probably one of the best AUS to this day. The team did a great job on this and I'm excited to see its continuation!

Fort Aquarius, the city shelter i forgot the name of, THE DAMN ACE ATTORNEY REFERENCE and by not adding the room for hotel to save time but they did it, and with common sense with lore AND the fact themes are actually almost equal to Toby's which makes the comic so perfect!
My favourite songs are Fallen Crown, Tuffet Tussle and Papyrus' theme
Based on Dorked's comments we are either getting a REALLY long Asriel fight or theirs going to be a new area (flowey may be taking advantage of that ability to literally make entirely new worlds and rewrite history)...not that he would of course, he's just gonna set everyone free.
Pretty sure any rewrites are only going to be temporary. I recall Dorked stating that the Inverted Fate world isn’t just going to be reverted back to Undertale. But I suppose you could interpret that as Asriel rewriting in a different way, and not just reverting everything back to Undertale. I guess that’d support the “I’ll make everything JUST right.” Line.

Exactly, Asriels not going to be rewriting history (atleast not in that way) but as flowey stated on the ask blog, imagine what else he can do with that knowledge.
He's doing something to the surface (likely what he thinks chara wants) and it's going to be interesting to see what.

Sadly I'm pretty sure the Determinator was our omega flowey replacement in inverted fate.
Still with literal INFINITE POWER it's entirely possible flowey left a few surprises in the underground to keep our team busy.

Ok so I was expecting this reveal to be insane, but that re-making of Flowey taking over the scene of everyone at the barrier was awesomely terrifying. The original Don't Give Up! sequence in Undertale is supposed to make you feel like you can defeat Flowey even with all that power, it fills you with hope, but you took that scene and made it even worse than before Omega Flowey's fight. Flowey's sadism was on full display, torturing everyone in front of Frisk and Chara, playing with his food, telling Papyrus to give up. Flowey even nearly kills Frisk, wanting to get rid of them so he can isolate Chara, but decides to let them live just to manipulate Chara even more. Frisk's friends still defend them, but it doesn't even matter, it's hopeless, Flowey just hurts them instead. You managed to make attacks where Flowey doesn't even hurt Frisk feel so tense and unnerving.
Finally with everything under his control, the mask off, Flowey doesn't hold back in the slightest. Papyrus telling Frisk to just run was one of the most heartbreaking things I've ever witnessed. And then that ending sequence... "Asriel" isn't limiting his control to the Underground no more. With a fourth-wall breaking crash he's broken the barrier, and he's stealing the souls of everyone. But Lilac, she's just arrived. What can Lilac do to stop it? How can they help Frisk? And Chara, it looks like they were let go too. What now? I'm still awestruck by everything we've just seen. Awesome job everyone.
Basically it's two childrens fighting a god with 7 AND a HALF souls!!!!
Also Toriel still shoots fire at Asgore. Just a fricking meteor this time. I like how they still keep it

I have a theory, which is Asriel will corrupt the timeline again, making it back to normal Undertale which if they are trying to make this just like toby fox would. May be possible
Finally!!!! We're at this pivotal moment in Inverted Fate history where Frisk and friends reunite, Flowey frees everyone and breaks the barrier (and maybe even helps Chara gain physical form) with absolutely no strings attached! Can't wait!

IF revived au's for me. I grew sick and tired of genocide and this au gives the pacifist run a new feeling. It invokes emotions possibly stronger than the ones in undertale without murder (besides the determinator series, which is my favorite chapter). Seriously good AU and I'm curious about the remaining chapters!
After so many years of reading this comic, I am stoked to finally see Flowey's plan in action, and terrified at the same time. What happens when Asriel pushes his power even further? If it already reset the timeline like this, what else is he capable of? What does he plan for Frisk and Chara? (Hopefully) all of these questions will be answered, and more! Thank you Dorked, Phil, and everyone at Fireglobe Productions, I can't wait to see what you guys have in store.
You know, this is exactly what I was expecting while also being the exact opposite. I expected Flowey to attack, Lilac (was that her name?) to show up, etc etc. But what I didn't expect was Chara and Frisk splitting into two new souls, or Papyrus standing up to Flowey, or Sans being so suspicious, or Flowey doing... this.
This is so masterfully written!

I know Flowey putting up his friendly facade for much longer is integral to IF’s plot, but I have missed Flowey being a complete and utter nightmare fuel generating shitweed.
The way he completely tears into Frisk, with their reactions just being perfect gives me goosebumps. Pure. Unadulterated. Goosebumps.

I was wondering what this version of the 'don't give up' section would be, I wasn't expecting it to be this epic!
I never expected this to be the Asriel fight, we knew this wasn't the end and I honestly did see flowey keeping his word and breaking the barrier coming.
I had even considered flowey destroying the surface (though I thought he was gonna do it while victory lap was happening so he could break the barrier to reveal HIS new world.
But this is so much better than I imagined, inverted fate never ceases to amaze and I imagine the next 10 chapters and the final act will somehow be even better.
Brilliant job as always, huge props to the whole IF team.
This is probably my favourite section next to 'everything is (not) fine'

This is why Inverted Fate is my favorite AU.
It's a sequel in a way that only Undertale could pull off.
And it pulls it off perfectly.
The scene where Flowey takes over the “once upon a time” story and puts his own mannerisms in to it feels very similar to when in homestuck Caliborn takes over the narrative

So,after accidentally creating INVERTED FATE from UNDERTALE's world,flowey learned how to create a world where he made the exact rules and everything else exactly how he wanted,and at the end of INVERTED FATE he is now creating a new world that he named FATE where he has already controll over the whole world and tries to be friends again with chara,but we also meet a new human,Lilac (An old friend of frisk's,for who didn't know)
I love the animations in flowey. They are so perfect. Im a bit surprised papyrus wasn’t trapped as well, seems like flowey just wanted to hurt him a different way
And THIS is how you pull off an expected plot twist. Let’s be honest. Everyone knew this was going to happen (and I’m keeping it vague for people who are scrolling the comments and haven’t watched the video like PYSCHOPATHS!), but this so did not disappoint. The real unsettlement I felt during the scenes made me legitimately squirm in my chair. This video was MASTERFULLY done, congratulations to the entire Inverted Fate team for making such a compelling story!

Alright, commenting on this after the newest release (New Game at the time of writing this). Everything in IF is absolutely amazing, but this is by far my favourite chapter. Even though I liked the new chapter, this one remains at the top for me. Everything about it is just absolute perfection. I can't thank you enough for creating this.

I gotta say, you did an incredibly good job making the confrontation with Flowey feel intense and dangerous. Even though it wasn't interactive I felt as tense as if I were playing the game.

In all seriousness, holy sh!t dude, this is just so..stunning. I wonder how the finale would play up to after a cliffhanger like that. But "Asriel" not only breaks his world, oh no, but he's also ascended beyond that.
This would mean absolute trouble if something isn't done to stop this from happening once again and somehow, Chara is back from the dead. This clearly isn't Asriel, but I wonder how this will all end. Lilac has also arrived to help out, I wonder if the three of them would stand together to put a stop to this madness once and for all.
Also, for the music, if there's gonna be the final boss battle, then you better add a "passport guardian" motif somewhere in the music. "Asriel" has recognized his mistakes and won't make those again, considering he's now ascended to god-like status. I have the feeling that his boss battle would be harder than FDY Dust sans throwing a pillar at you. Here's to this masterpiece of the undertale community!
For all his evil, unforgivable shenanigans, I do think that Flowey genuinely felt upset, or at least awkward, during lots of that conversation. Maybe that played into part of his feelings in the battle?
i kinda take it at him internally planning what to do next such as each stage of the betrayal or even null/rift things rather than listening to the conversation. he seems to listen very carefully without changing his expression much when chara is speaking though.
Honestly I'm really wondering if IF flowey is going to be doing something more than just becoming you know.
After all he pointed out in the ask blog "I created a new universe on ACCIDENT"
He did this all accidentally, imagine what he could do intentionally.

Photoshop Flowey does make a cameo appearance several minutes in after he tells Frisk that he's learnt from his mistakes and that he knows exactly what he needs to do now. He appears as in image in the giant TV as a flickering image.

Just something to say. I’ve taught myself to play “Fate Of The Fallen” and “Memories Long Past” on the piano. It took a long time but it was worth it.

Man, this month has been good for main antagonists. First Dr Eggman in Issue #50 IDW Sonic and now this. The fight with Flowey was a highlight of this episode with him deconstructing the heroes and their motivations while toying with them. And then he succeeds in rewriting the timeline (I like that neat trick in the BSOD section where the credits roll to distract you from noticing Asriel's progress in rewriting the timeline), which I feel will be very interesting.
Assuming that the next chapter isn't just the final boss, perhaps Frisk and Chara are separated and are now trapped in a rewritten version of Mt Ebott (i.e based off the canon timeline but everyone's personalities have been altered and the whole thing feels off) while Asriel is off to "save" humanity by giving it "salvation".
It's clear that Asriel has rewritten the narrative so that he's the main hero and that Frisk and Chara are selfish for wanting to destroy his happy ending. (The irony of course being Asriel rewriting Mt. Ebott to be like the previous timeline is selfish because it establishes how little the current timeline meant to him; it's also a contrast to Asriel's rampage in the Surface against humanity).
Oh, there's a lot more to come before the final boss. We're very excited to get there. ;) Thanks for the kind words!

Huh, and all this time, i thought that Flowey’s Betrayal would be something that would’ve been a part of the End of this Story, but to think that this AU Story intends to continue even beyond this point? I have seen many AU Stories that has all been about doing some sort of Alternate Retelling of the Undertale Story and (besides some FanFictions) i don’t think I’ve seen anyone that has gone beyond Breaking the Barrier, very interesting.
Do you intend to go full on JRPG on us or something now, Dorked? Hehehe, well, regardless, i will look forward to whatever more you have in store, this has gotten so much more interesting than I could’ve imagined, looking forward to the continuation, i hope it won’t disappoint.

Huh, while I did suspect that Flowey’s eventual betrayal would come as a big surprise to everyone involved, but i didn’t expect it to happen in such a instant though, i also didn’t expect things to go so straight to it once it did happen,
In the Original Version, Flowey at least had it in him to let everyone say everything that they had to say at that moment before he struck, so i was expecting something similar here,
However, this was a pretty welcomed surprise honestly and this turn off events does make sense in a way, i guess once Chara themselves also enter the scene, Flowey just couldn’t contain himself anymore, especially since that probably was quite a reveal to him too, huh?
Regardless, this AU just keeps getting more and more interesting, can’t wait to see what more might be in store.

Frisk and their old friend are gonna go back down into the True Lab and get the Soul Fission device, use the quantum locked room to avoid Asriel's control over the Timeline, and get in close enough to split Asriel away from the Souls using the power of Determination .

Yes, I know that's impossible to have a genocide route in Inverted Fate due to the fact that Frisk probably doesn't even know that such a route exist because they don't even remember anything from their past life but just imagine the possibilities.
Dorked said she completely scrapped genocide since she isn't interested in it and wouldn't make any sense for Inverted Fate's characters without the introduction of a player which canon IF doesn't have. iirc she said it would just end with Flowey destroying the ruins exit because he needs everyone alive for his plans. Plus IF Frisk only did pacifist in the old timeline with the exception of accidentally killing Toriel and Undyne which was immediately undone. So Chara was never corrupted by the genocide run and Frisk has no player to cause them to do such a thing in the first place.
