I have poured a lot of effort into this so I really hope it does well, but either way sorry for not being more active this year, a lot of stuff has come up and it became really hard for me to put effort into doing anything related to the channel. - I was very much spreading a lot of misinformation (probably also didn't help that I was making a joke with Murder and Killer being similar and so used the same script but you live and learn if), but just to clarify I was referring to FANON Dust as, imo he's more well known
- Just to make things completely clear:
- Frisk 'convincing ' him was meant to be a metaphor about how Frisk drove him insane
- CANON:
- Not a merciless killer, very much doesn't forgive himself for killing his friends
- Not a servant to Nightmare (in fanon their relationship differs from AU to AU)

Dreamtale - 10:58 (ty xXtha)
- Dream was not friends with the villagers, his only friends were Nightmare and Neil. He was friendly with them however they took advantage of him
- The man Nim killed is only a part of corrupted Nightmare, not the spirit itself
- No one was allowed to 'try' the golden apples and no one came to try the apples after the man Nim kills. A human who ate more than one apple would die and the whole point of the guardians is to prevent people from trying the apples
- There was no single 'corrupted' apple. The spirit lived in the tree and was the one that convinced Nightmare to bite the apple
- Dream wasn't trying to save his brother at that point, he was trying to save the apple and those who were left FROM his no longer brother
- Nim does not die, remnants of her are still seen in corrupted Nightmare
- Nightmare's 'scheme' is to get Dream out of stone and kill him which is pretty important
Inksans - 13:12
- The portal at the end of Ink's comic is a portal to the multiverse and while he does take on role as the au protector, he thinks the emotions he got were by accident and his motives are now partially selfish to keep that going (rather than some true purpose)
Epictale - 18:50

Fusions - 28:34
- Dustswap and Dusttrust are different. Dustswap is where Underswap Papyrus commits the genocide whereas Dusttrust is where Underswap Papyrus starts the genocide, Underswap Sans kills him, he learns about the genocide routes and then proceeds to continue the genocide Papyrus started
no dusttrust is when swap sans kills swap papyrus on self defense, overcome by guilt they swore to avenge their brother by continuing his genocide.

And core frisk fell in core. And murder!sans only killed to defeat the human.

Okay so uh, small misconception with Fatal Error: he doesn't remain alive because of his determination, he instead doesn't die because he's on the save screen, and you can't die on the save screen which is how he survived all those timelines. BUT, when Error tries to kill Geno on the save screen, the game bugs out and creates Fatal Error, attempting to run the death script for someone in a place they can't be killed. Anyway that's enough about that, back to the video 😅
I love how it became a "Who can make the edgiest and most powerful Sans" competition at a point.

This whole video baaasically shows my problem with how people view AU’s. This video is titled “The entire AU Undertale Multiverse explained” but it FEELS more like “Every version of Sans explained.”
I definitely agree. People generally solely focus on the sans in AUs and some AUs are just built around only sans ,its really sad how the other characters become overshadowed. The only reason I predominantly discussed sanes is because that is what the majority of the fandom is interested in and so I catered towards that.
@@ZenialAnimations it’s a vicious cycle really. The funny part about it is that characters like Error and ink (in my eyes at least) could definitely benefit from being more of their own characters, but I feel as if the reason they ARE just more versions of sans is because the people who made them knew people would care more if it was just more sans. Similarly, I know there’s probably an in universe reason for this, but I feel as if the whole “Dream and Nightmare” thing could’ve easily been a conflict between a version of Sans and Papyrus… but instead they just gave us two sans’. The only versions of any characters in recent memory that’s gotten close to that level of popularity and/or recognition in the AU space or whatever that isn’t sans, are X-tale Chara, StoryShift Chara, and Underswap Papyrus, which… I don’t think I need to explain why they don’t count.

I'm studying the Alphatale/Godverse right now. And I'm understanding alot of it because, yes. It's so complicated and complex, though I can actually somehow understand it. It does indeed stay entertaining, and it's just a very interesting series, with all of the vast variety of characters with really cool and powerful complicated abilities. My friends ask me all kinds of questions about either the Alphatale/Godverse or normal Undertale AUs, and when they ask me just about anything they can think of, they question my mental stability, my life, my brain, and what I do because of how insanely complex this kinda stuff is (specifically Alphatale/Godverse). So I understand what your meaning, it's a massive amount of infinite information and knowledge blasted into your head with the complexity level of grasping the concept of everything at once in a single existenceing moment within the complicated process of the singularity making all of this happen at the moment you started receiving this information. In simple terms, you become a big brain when getting into the Alphatale/Godverse.

Correction in Storyshift:
Storyshift has a rebooted version, due to what happened with Voltra in 2016, with harrasment and missunderstooding her AU, making Voltra having suicidal thoughts. The AU had a hiatus and now, it's back. With a reboot.
The new reboot of storyshift is making a new storyshift, completely originally written.
Chara is a jaded and cynical Human, with a deep hatred towards Humanity. Being hidden by Toriel and Asriel. Due to the Solar Warriors. Monsters that aren't on sans rules. Planning to kill the Humans, Unlike in sans rules. That he said that humans are friendly.
Chara also doesn't have magic involving towards Knifes. But Plants Magics. Anything related to plants. Such as friendly pellets, vines, flowers, leafs. Etc!
The personalities on storyshift are not swapped or shifted. They have their original personalities from UNDERTALE.

Corrections in UT: Insanity. Aka: Insanity Sans:
Insanity has a new story and writing, due to the change of ownership. The new Ownership is UTF. and the story is being totally remade.
Insanity's blood is not actual blood, but a modified Determination. Due to what happened on the experiments on a Bravery SOUL's DT.
Insanity has a unlimited amount of DT, but he can be easily defeated. Due to the low amount of HP and DEF.
Insanity likes to use punches and bones, rarely using Blasters. Only in a dangerous battle.
Correction on EpicTale:
Epictale got a new reboot. You can read it in yugogeer's tumblr.
When I was younger and first got into the fandom, I mostly watched animations and comic dubs with the audio off. The supreme lord of the fandom back in the day has to be the Sans Multiverse Christmas comic, if you were active in the fandom you *had* to know what that was.
I think, and I’m sure many people do, that you really did a good job piecing it all together and explaining each thing in detail in a way that even people who are new to this understand. And yes, I agree. The godverse makes no sense at all-

Just a small correction, 8:09 dusttale's story is that sans suddenly remembers all the geno routes, and he does his own to prevent any more geno routes from happening.
The more I learned about Underswap it isnt exactly swapping the characters entirely. It's basically nerfing their main personality traits then adding the character that they're swapping with. Like how US Sans still like puns but also enjoys cooking and traps.

As someone who is pretty new to the whole Undertale AU thing, this video was very interesting. I read Endertale and Aftertale a couple days ago. I had absolutely no idea where to start next considering how much there is. I had no interest in Horrortale when I saw small bits and pieces before and didn't think it would be my thing. I took your recommendation though and read it. I definitely agree, it's pretty good!

Wow, I don't think anyone's really tried to make a comprehensive explanation of the "major" AUs before. Even Godverse and Alphatale are in here too. Maybe I'll learn a few new tidbits. Nice to see Underplayer, Bad Time Trio, and Inverted Fate in here.
One correction for Dusttale, Sans does his own geno route of his own accord, specifically to stop the human.
And one correction for Aftertale, Chara doesn't take control until multiple geno runs after Geno is "created".

Godverse is confusing but it's basically where there plenthora of gods who do their own things. There is different version of godverse notably true godverse and other godverse I forgor.
This is different from GODVERSE. Which is the true form of STS (sans the skeleton) GODVERSE is a entity, while true godverse is a place that is included in ather mainframe.
Any godverse question can be asked!

Explaining more about the fusions aus, since he got them wrong a bit
First of all, if you mix dusttale and underswap you get swapdust, it's bassically underswap but dusttale
There's also dustswap, it's dusttale but the roels of the murder are swapped, it's more complicated than that, you can learn it on yourself
About dustturts, it's swapdust dustbelief edition, HOWEVER it uses the old name for swapdust, which was dustswap (noone really cares about the namings before, and they didn't really make sence, but some guy crated dustswap butterfly effect (the au i talked about earlier) dusttrust was created before that change was made, so it still uses the old name
Dustbelief is a mix of dusttale and disbelief, it's a very well made au
And fresh ink is just the parasite that fresh has in his eye possessing ink sans
Basically. If this is too confusing:
Swapdust = Underswap with events of Dusttale. Meaning that Papyrus from US killed everyone.
Dustswap = Dusttale with Swapped Roles. Meaning that Papyrus from Undertale is the new Murderer. ( You can read it in Dustswap: The Butterfly Effect )
And this goes on, with the AU fusions. I'll say another example:
Dustfell: Dusttale with darker events.
Felldust: Underfell with dusttale events.
Hope it clarifies that.

underfell isn't mostly a aesthetic change like you said, each one of its routes are entirely different like the genocide route being betrayal and frisk not even doing most of the killing in it or the pacifist being the closure route

The one that made me realize it was a wiki immediately was the end of Ink Sans about finding a portal to all the colours

- Whether it was a joke or not, I have to clarify. The golden tooth was merely the creator's head canon for the original Sans which. If you see any of Fella's drawings for other AUs like Underswap, you'd see Sans with a silver tooth and Papyrus with a golden one.
- Oh my gosh, enough of the Undertale AU Wiki's misconceptions. Kindred Spirits is not even the first AU, not even close. The first AU was actually created at the same day but unlike Kindred Spirits, we have an actual confirmed time/hour it was made. The AU is called Overtale.
- Kindred Spirits is the third AU

@@random_dude129 Horror sans surely don't have that great amount of magic. But i can say what he has canonically:
Bones. More sharp and deadly.
Shortcuts. The same as the original sans.
Due to not having that amount of magic, he now uses Bear traps, cleavers and kitchen knifes.
Osteokinesis: He basically can explode someone's head. If it's made of bones, he needs to be concentrated for this.
Super strenght: He has a very larger strenght. Literally ripping apart aliza's arm very easily with his own hands.
High defense: He got a very high durability. Being a undead alive monster.

He missed his Gaster Blasters.
He missed his blue bones attacks.
He missed his soul manipulation.

I can decently understand Alphatale, (I can understand the lore and stuff but I can't memorize all their powers) but goddamn godverse is just too hard to understand 😭😭
Honestly most can just be seen as alternative timeline than actual AU's like Sans is cool but what about Undyne or the main 2 humans who make everything happen hell Flowey is the one who cannonically knows everything unless it's genocide or true reset
But seriously Undyne on paper is the strongest of the royal guard a real hero in the no mercy run but naw the guy with 1 attack and 1 defence because......he can cheat

murder sans ain't a servant to nightmare, it's canon name and his abilities are literally the same as undertale sans but he is more experienced at battling and is overall stronger.
Murder sans not being a servant sure idek at this point what the canon version is. I said he was called murder sans before dust sans because that is his name, but I've heard him more commonly referred to as dust sans. I also didn't mention abilities at all par like a few characters so this video didn't end up doubling in length.

Yeah alphatale is hard to understand considering it’s so clustered up with words. In fact, it’s so clustered with words that half of the writing is crap and speech. However, Godverse is similar but isn’t as clustered up with speech as Alphatale.
