Kyoonix Abel Logo, "Circuitry" Variant (07.07.2024)

It's my channel's 14th Anniversary! Thanks to all my followers who keep the logo editing community strong and who keep me going! I'm bringing you the next iteration of the Abel logo, and I'm really going all in on the symmetry this time! The icon itself is the same, but I've replaced my channel name, which was previously generic text, with a handmade graphic which happens to be identical to itself when turned upside-down! It was inspired by this Escher art: www.basilemorin.com/ambigrams... and has the C₂ₕ point group symmetry, like the molecule in my hint. The name comes from the vague resemblance of the shapes of the letters to the wires in a circuit board. (K-Points, anyone?)
The story behind this logo is a real emotional roller coaster! On the one hand, it's definitely a little less refined than I normally like, with some visible rendering artifacts and stilted motion. On the other, the perseverance and ingenuity I needed to make it happen makes my glad I made it at all! I was away from my normal computer where most of the resources I prepared were, and I was stuck using a laptop with different programs than I prefer, including a more limited counterpart to LibreOffice. Luckily I had some things saved to remote storage, and I was able to make them work. Then, I got a video at 59.94 fps even when I set the project to 60 fps. And here's the kicker - during the final render process, Kdenlive CRASHED and KEPT RENDERING! I took this narrow crisis aversion as a sign that I had to take what I got! I may clean this up and expand on it at a later date, but for the time being, I'm happy with the overall look and the new stuff I tried, like the background shrinking into a rectangle.
I wasn't able to export the project in Kdenlive, so I constructed the folder with all the resources manually. You will probably get error messages when you open the project, but you can substitute in the necessary clips... hopefully. Those of you with keen eyes may notice something in the files that serve as clues for things to come! But for today, we celebrate the fact that my jankiest logo to date even had the opportunity to see the light of day!

Currently recreating this in Vegas. I decided not to make the text by hand and used the Yumi font because it looked good enough. I also did a different animation (swivel in PowerPoint) over a green screen before placing it in Vegas.
