>I love your videos. I watch from South Jersey, not many videos are informative and demonstrative as yours. I appreciate your work and passion for eyewear
looks classy......and timeless. luv ❤️ those xtractive gold mirror lenses.....so i ordered the same lenses for my havana and gold coloured raybans. appreciate 🙏 your attentively detailed & informative review. well done.
Would love to see the same kind of video made with the Transitions New Generation Style Mirrors with Brown and Gold, to see the difference, assuming this is the "regular" style mirrors, it still seems really great choice.. I have a pair of "normal" XTRActive Brown without any mirrors in my current Selecta mod. Roger frames and really love them, but got a pair of Desil mod. Consul on the way and was planning on whether to get the latest XTRActive New Generation Brown with Gold Mirror as they now seem to be available but have yet to see a proper video demonstration on those. Love this demonstration video anyways as it gives some idea what to expect but a comparison to the latest would be really great to see..
I currently have the Mirror Gold and I ordered the new gen 8 in amber + a pair with xtractive gold mirror! I might do a comparison video myself, as there is nobody who did this :/
I can already tell you that the new generation seems not to be such a strong mirror when inside anymore... I had the glasses in my hands yesterday before ordering and the gold glasses looked purple / blue inside o.O and when I got outside and the glas got darker, then it appeared in gold mirror.
I'm thinking of sending my Ray ban Justin frame over to Lensabl so they can put the Xtractive Red Mirror lenses in them. However, there's not that many videos on RUclips that shows the red mirror outdoors. Great video Daniel, you earned a new subscriber!
Thank you Oscar! I really appreciate that. I briefly show the Red mirror in a video I made. The link is here in case you want to check it out: ruclips.net/video/SEidKJ0ThkI/видео.html
Thank you so much! Maybe one day I will have that example to show. For now please check out my other channel which has a lot more Transitions content. ruclips.net/user/HicksBrunsonEyewearTulsa
Excellent 👌👌. Any videos of Xtractive transition in blue mirror ??? 2ndly wan to kno dat as Dey put colour as gold mirror den Is there further option to have gold mirror with either grey or brown lenses??? Thanks
Hi Daniel - Can you show how it looks like through these brown xtractive with Gold flash mirror, similar to how you did it for the sapphire blue lens review?
I have a new video coming out Saturday morning on the @HicksBrunsonEyewear channel that will show exactly that. Head on over and subscribe and you won't miss it.
I'm really curious if you notice any increased glare due to the mirror. Is this lens available in High Index? Is it coated with an AR on both sides? How does it function at night time for something like driving compared to using them indoors?
Hi buddy, have you got any advice? How to clean these transitions mirror lenses? I’m currently using a microfibre cloth with some water. should I use a spray and if so, could you advise a product? I am paranoid that I’m going to scratch the coating of these very expensive lenses.
Thanks for a great video Daniel! The Style Mirrors Gold looks great with those frames! I got the Style Mirror Gold lenses a while ago with a pair of Versace frames, but I found I had to wipe them constantly as they seem to be very susceptible to fingerprints! Did you opt for any special coating (eg Crizal) for the lens, or can this even be done?
Thanks Raymond! The mirror coating comes packaged with a backside anti-reflective. The fact is that mirrors just show fingerprints more than non-mirror anti-reflective coatings. Crizal can not be added to a mirrored side, but the anti-reflective on the backside will have a hydrophobic coating to prevent/reduce finger prints on the back side.
>Can Transitions lenses possibly have a permanent like 10% brown tint, but still be Transition Xtractive brown (going fully brown outdoors, then permanently tinted indoors)?
Hi thanks for the review I am shopping for a transition lens as a sunglass (non prescription) and I narrowed down my selection to the XTRACTIVE from Transitions because they are the darkest in all their line. The question for you: is the mirror part of the Photochromatic molecules that gets more mirrory with the intensity of the light, or is it a fixed layer that stays there all the time even when indoor? Thanks
Thank you! The mirror does not have variable molecules. It is a fixed layer that stays there even indoors. The thing about mirrors though is that they will be significantly less visible when the lenses are clear. Put another way, the visibility of a mirror is dependent on how dark the materials is behind it. So in this sense the mirror is variable too.
Just got Xtractive Grey with Gold mirror and they’re incredible! Vision from my perspective is 100% colour accurate just like the regular Grey Transitions, but from the outside, in full sun they turn to a solid gold mirror just like in this video, and in partial sun (or near windows) they have an awesome light gold tint
@@seeingclearly I'm going to go Mirrors Gold with base color brown. The 668s are pretty much gold everywhere on the frame so I think it'll pop! My other glasses (Cazal 607 black/gold and my white Tom Ford 5634) use Crizal Prevencia along with XtrActive grey which gives the glasses a deep purple transition. Not needed on these 668s though. These will be my first Mirrors.
Hi. Im thinking of buying this lenses for me and my job is driving a bus. I would ask you if they are good for driving at night too? Thank you. And sorry for my english, it is not my natural language.
I’ve made those in prescription for clients who do glass blowing, but that was many years ago. They’re designed to protect the eyes for that trade. I would guess they are still available, but I’m not sure.
>Can Transitions lenses possibly have a permanent like 10% brown tint, but still be Transition Xtractive brown (going fully brown outdoors, then permanently tinted indoors)?
Great video! Recently ordered the gold style mirror with a Versace frame and can't wait for it to be finished
Awesome! Just what I needed to see.

Perfect combination. It really looks very stylish.

What is the price of this feature? Thanks
Just picked up my transition gold mirrored glasses. I am seeing alot of refection indoors. Did they mess up? These are my only daily glasses
I wish I had read your comment earlier instead of all the useless advertising videos.... Did you find any solution? I have the same problem.
Xtractive are supposed to work better for indoor glares due to their subtle tint at all times. Maybe yours are bad?
I'm really curious if you notice any increased glare due to the mirror. Is this lens available in High Index? Is it coated with an AR on both sides? How does it function at night time for something like driving compared to using them indoors?
Can you wear xtractive lenses for night driving?

I have been calling a lab trying to get these and they do not carry them. Where can I get these lenses? I have eyemed insurance

Transitions signature Gen 8 Graphite Green comes with Crizal fog ID or not? Please clarify.
I`ve had my XTRACTIVE SILVER MIRROR for over 2 years now. Do you have a picture of XTRACTIVE GREY with GOLD MIRROR?
Sorry, I do not have a picture of that combo. I always like to pair the Gold Mirror with Brown tint.

@@vincepecora31 Thanks for the review and for sharing your perspective on this combo. I’m glad you’re enjoying your new lenses.
I'm trying to decide if I should go Gold/Brown or Gold/Gray.
About to combine these with the Cazal 668 frames 😤
That sounds awesome! Which color mirror are you choosing?

Hi Michael. I'm glad we were able to connect on the phone today. I'll send the info you wanted to your email tomorrow.
Does it come with varilux x?
Yes
Hi. Im thinking of buying this lenses for me and my job is driving a bus. I would ask you if they are good for driving at night too? Thank you. And sorry for my english, it is not my natural language.
Yes. Any Transitions XTRActive lenses, especially one with a mirror, would be good for your job of driving a bus.
hi. have u herd on didymium lances? can it have a prescription for it? is it harmful to were regularly? thanks.

Niceeeeee
Thank you! I truly love wearing these lenses.
Thanks for actually showing it transition outside. The other videos just talk about it while indoors, which wasn't helpful.

Yes. We do that all the time at my optical boutique. Please send an email to daniel@hicksbrunson.com and I will gladly help you.
