  • During this talk, SHINE Co-Director Dr Joanna Inchley provides insight into how SHINE’s tracking and research on aspects of wellbeing in adolescents can improve their health and wellbeing by guiding schools and policy makers to implement appropriate interventions.
    Pupil health and academic attainment are intertwined. Healthier pupils have higher attainment and, in the longer term, those who achieve better educational outcomes have better health and wellbeing.
    The Schools Health and Wellbeing Improvement Research Network (SHINE) is a national network that was set up to support schools in addressing health and wellbeing needs of their students, with a particular focus on mental health.
