Yusuke Murata is my favorite artist of all time. From the beginning of Eyeshield21 to One Punch Man, the evolution of this man's Artwork is INSANE! Even if you don't do a video about him, as a lover of Manga you should check him out. He is good at drawing character's in different art styles while at the same time keeping them consistent and cohesive.
I absolutely adored the Hunter x Hunter guy's tribute with the creepy kid goku. To me it seemed the drawing was being humorous in nature, and I feel it really pulled it off. It's like we're looking at kid goku from the perspective of a foughter enemy.

That's a great topic, I've always quite liked legends art and I was considering doing a video on Dbz Kakarots art style as it took a lot of inspiration from Toriyamas illustrations so that could make an interesting video.

Thanks for bringing us some of these pictures. I don't think I would have stumbled upon them any time soon and it's really inspiring. I actually really like works that deviate from Toriyama's style. If I wanted to see DBZ style I'd look for his works instead. I love finding more creative ways of drawing characters from a franchise, especially the more stylized ones. It breathes life and uniqueness to it rather than just trying to emulate Toriyama's.
She did do one recently. She drew Vegeta, Bulma, Future Trunks, and baby bulla She basically drew the characters in her style with the white dots in the big jagged black eyes. Bulma looked the best but Vegeta just looked weird

I don't think that would work. His art is amazing, easily one of the best mangaka imo. But it doesn't suit Dragon Ball to me. Dragon Ball's manga art is supposed to be relatively simple and not too overly detailed. That's why Toyotaro was the best choice for me
Unpopular opinion, but I actually really like the MHA take on Goku. I always wondered what he'd look like if he appeared in their world, and the mangaka nailed it perfectly. Would be very interesting imo to see a DB X MHA crossover where some MHA characters go into the DB world and are drawn and animated in the DBS Broly Shintani style and some DB characters go over to the MHA world and are drawn in that style
I'm sure they all could sit down and make a to model goku if they really wanted. The differences might be uncanny for some, but it shows it's about more than just drawing a goku.

Heck he even gave him Zoro's jaw which I thought he should and it's perfect. Also Slam dunk Goku is how his hair should be in live action projects. Fan made or otherwise.
This was mostly about the 30th anniversary tributes. But thanks for mentioning that one though because I have never seen it before now and it looks outstanding!

@@mathieul4303 i don't think the faces where ever ugly, except in parts of part 6 due to him being rushed at points. i still think part's 7 and 8 are masterclass, and parts 1-6 are some of the best things jump had ever seem. his faces might not be his strong point, and yes they sometimes come off as a bit ugly in some panels, but it's still amazing. part 1 is janky but unique, which fades into the less buff but more pointy parts 1 and 3. and then early pat 4 is peak angles, going into the more realistic proportions of mid- late part 4, and parts 5-6 then finally transforming into the realistic and stylish art of the most recent parts 7 and the soon to be concluded 8. personally i love the modern style, and whilst it might have peaked some time in mid part 7. his art is still absolutely amazing at best, and just a bit messy at worse. On the other and toriyama has developed the opposite problem, all his characters look stiff and plasticy.

I doubt so, animation and manga are quite different medium when you get to the gritty details. Curiously I do have heard of animators drawing manga, apparently is not so different from storyboarding.

I think one sees a bit of attitude in the contrastive style he's chosen, and if I'm not mistaken (don't know Japanese) the congratulation below is overly formal. One can also see on his rarely used Twitter account that he personally has quite a lot of attitude that is very pure and unfiltered (though he also has a serious painful condition, one can say).

Oda's Yamcha looks awesome, the one thing I change is the eyes. They look a bit like Luffy's, give him Sanji or Zorro's eyes and I say It's perfect.
