Thank you for the wrap up. You are truly one of the best reviewers on RUclips so your reviews are some of my favorite videos. You cannot make me pick one favorite of the year so far lol. I was on a huge fantasy kick all winter so my favorites of 2024 so far are: "The Will of the Many", "A Court of Mist and Fury" (I read the whole series in March and I am so glad I did) and "A Dowry of Blood". Favorites in other genres were "The Secrets We Kept" and "Oona Out of Order". My least favorites were more disappointing to me. I am really sad about them both because I really wanted to like them: "VenCo" and "The Wishing Game". I am moving into a literary and contemporary mood so I expecting a good time in the coming months!
Your videos always lift up my spirits. I love the passion that you have for books and the joy you get while talking about them. You're the extroverted angel for my introverted self lol. I am currently reading 'Pachinko' by Min Jin Lee and loving it so far. The best book I've read in April is 'Think of a Number' by John Verdon. If you're looking for a great thriller, it'll be quite hard to put down 😎
I just want to say how much I love these recommendations!! I haven’t heard of a lot of them and it’s so refreshing. I also appreciate how many genres you picked from! Thank you :) 😎
How could I not stay until the end?!😎 Lovely vid💜 This year I read Divine rivals & Ruthless vows and just loved that series with my whole heart💜 Also Fourth wing and Heartless hunter (the Crimson moth) were amazing. Read a few classics that didn’t do it for some reason.
It’s always a good day when there’s a Lexi video 🥰 my top favorites so far this year are Nettle & Bone, Wayward Children series and Unmaking of June Farrow 😍
🤓😎 I literally have to say you have got to be my favorite Book-tuber. I can sit here and get all the books you review and recommend if you let me lol Which btw I have so far read a few you have reviewed and I’ve loved them. The way my wallet trust you now its wild 😂 Thank you so much for sharing your love of books with the rest of us.
This was a great reminder of how much fun I have had with our book club books so far this year! 😎😎 It’s only getting better with June Farrow- that book was amazing.
Thank you for sharing another reviews video with us, even thought I'm sure you weren't feeling up to it at times. It hurts my heart to see you so down and so blue. Truly hope and pray for the best for you. Take care of yourself as best as you can, and show yourself buckets full of grace. There are a lot of strangers on the Internet who care about you, for whatever that's worth!
I absolutely love the way you review books . 💕 You can tell you take away things from the books you read . You put a lot of passion and heartfelt words into your reviews for the books you read 📖 and I love that, your love of books radiates off of you 🤗 I definitely have a lot of books on my wishlist of books to buy from books you have bought/ recommended so thank you for that ! 🥰 My favorite book of all time is the Twisted series by Ana Huang 💕😎 As for my least favorite 🤔 I feel like every book I have been reading lately is really good . There is only one book I have ever DNF’d in my life and that book was sooo boring I can’t even remember the title of the book lol 😆
Lexi! I've fallen off my reading train lately and am just now getting back into booktube vids again. Happy to still see you here! Great recs as always. Even though you didn't like it, The Dutch House actually sounds really interesting so I might pick it up!
I’m having a really good reading year so far! I’ve read 18 books and have pretty much liked them all. Favorites are The Cherry Robbers, The Unmaking of June Farrow, and the Book of the Most Precious Substance.
oooo I am so bummed to hear what you think of Mrs. S. I am literally starting that tonight. I was really looking forward to some good ol' lit fiction with a semi-steamy sapphic subplot. I'll will get into it and see how it goes :)
My favorite book of the year thus far has to be My Best Friend's Exorcism by Grady Hendrix. New favorite book of all time. And my least favorite has to be a book I DNFed which was A Serial Killer's Daughter: My Story of Faith, Love and Overcoming by Kerri Rawson who is the daughter of the infamous BTK killer. It felt like reading her diary and a lot was very boring a repetitive. Thank you for the new video, I loved the wrap up. But...if I could make one suggestion...can there be different background music? The past couple videos have used the same intro song on repeat and after awhile it gets distracting because my brain goes "Is this the same song that has been playing for like 14 minutes straight?". I also miss you vlogs, they are always so much fun 😎
I've only read 2 books in April because I'm going to America on Wednesday 1st May to visit my sister and brother in law and reading has not been my priority lately but when I come back from America, I will get back into it 🩷🩷
😎 Added tons to my tbr! Hate that the Dutch house wasn’t a great read because I loveddd the cover. I’ll probably end up skipping it because no body seems to like it! I love Kelly Barnhill. I know it’s her most popular book, but if you haven’t read “the girl who drank the moon” yet, it’s a fun time. I really need to check t kingfisher because I feel like everyone is raving about them this month, and I had never heard of them! I feel very out the loop lol considering how big their backlist is! This Poison Heart’s cover is gorgeous and sounds so good so I’m definitely going to have to get that from the library this week. Great video!!!❤
You were SO right!! Just picked up Practical Magic at Barnes and Noble. It's everything you promised it would be. Thanks for all you do! Appreciate all your insightful and uplifting videos 🕶📚🍣🍿
Ughh i have read so many good books this year! Ive read 33 books and my favs are One by One, Lost to dune road, the engagement party, the vacation and Funny story. I love thrillers that have a bit of romance lol Worst book so far was either twisted love or what happens after midnight.

What a fun wrap up! I would love to know more about how you are liking Storygraph! Fav of the year so far is hard to choose! Is it Amina al-Sirafi? Maybe June Farrow? Also Far From the Madding Crowd! Least fav was Ten Birds that Changed the World, but like only because it told me truths that I did not like hearing - so not the book's fault? I still gave it a 3 star so... 😎🦊
My favorites so far this year: classic -Watership Down, literary/historical-The Secret Book of Flora Lea, Mystery/thriller-Sometimes I lie …& least favorites/DNF: Assistant to the Villain & Birnam Wood

My favorite of the year so far was the last book in “The Gifts” trilogy, Every Gift a Curse! I love love that series so much. My least favorite book would be the second book in the “No Safety in Numbers” trilogy, No Easy Way Out. It was 500 pages of boring filler and I gave it one star 😭
I loved this video so much! 💞 My favorite book this year has to be A Love Song For Ricki Wilde by Tia Williams and least favorite is probably Death Valley by Melissa Broder (a DNF, I just got so bored!)

I am so looking forward to pick up some of the books you read! This was a great video- but I wish I would also understand why being compared to a clementine is an insult! 🤷♀️ Storygraph? 😖 Guess I am really becoming less and less tech-savvy! As for the books I read... currently reading Circé by Madeline Miller for a favourite and least favourite would have tonbe the Perfect marriage by Jeneva Rose. 😎

My least favorite this year so far is “In Watermelon Sugar” by Richard Brautigan, just could not connect with the story. Which is disappointing because it really seemed it was going to be an easy 5 star for me.
I'm up to 16 books. The Kite Runner is my 5 🌟 for this year so far. BOTM Listen for the Lie is great as well. Mockingbird Summer is fabulous if you love To Kill a Mockingbird. I think you'd love The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston and Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez.

Least favorite would be Before the Coffee Gets Cold - I know everyone loves this one, but I was just bored.
