  • A bit of a deep dive into banjo flipping and how I think of it. A bit rambly at times, so my apologies.
Here is a link to everyone I mentioned in this video. RUclips channel, or otherwise.

"Not good at teaching" he says before proceeding to make the best instructional video on the subject. I had no idea how to strum up the fret board like that. Within a couple minutes of practice it's second nature. Guess it was too much to hope you'd play Rooster Crow though, but thanks anyway.

Excellent presentation on how to do the monkeyshines! I’ve been practicing them for years, and I couldn’t explain it any better myself.

Found you through this video. I gotta say, the way you played that snippet of "dont get weary children" with that banjos specific tone and tuning sounds very, very good. It mixes perfectly. You definitely should make a cover of that song in that exact fashion. Keep up the good work.

Guitars are for sure flippable!! Charlie Poole apparently used to do it. There’s a few guitar flippers around! Same concept you just don’t have a dowel rod
      Thanks so much!

You’re the shit I tried flipping mine for a bit when I first came across your other instructional vid.. guess I oughta just keep at it. I’d like to learn a few moves myself. Look up my friend Kyle wood. He is a banjo songster and banjo builder who can do those flips and stuff to! He’s good at putting on a performance in public aswell.

Great vid. Thanks. I had a little go at spinning a while back on one of my videos but haven't really practiced much since. You've shown me a little extra to get practicing with (also I did it with a kentucky style mountain banjo which is pretty heavy)

Just bought a fretless and this came up on my RUclips suggested videos. I'm looking forward to getting to this level of playing.
