The fully restored version of the "Pre-Report From Disneyland" was released on Disney Plus last year, including a rarely seen American Motors Davy Crockett Giveaway promotion! 1955 was also the year of the ill-fated Mickey Mouse Club Circus, where all the original Mousekateers spent their Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. A large Circus Tent where It's A Small World is now, and a 75 minute show that by all reports, very few went to. After it closed at the end of 1955, Disneyland would not revisit the Circus theme for 30 years!

4:15 Did you say Adventureland was "to your right" once you got to the Hub? I would think if the Castle had drawn you to the Hub, Adventureland would be to your left.

Yeah, that was a flub on my part. I've always been directionally challenged... and Adventureland has always been on the left.

@@HappyPlaceExplorers Cool, it threw me off for just a second, but then I've only ever visited Walt Disney World, so I wasn't 100% sure. I know what you mean about directionally challenged... I grew up a leftie in a right-handed world, THEN then I did a lot of theatre where it's backwards-- stage left and stage right, house left and house right, etc. -- so I always have to stop and think. Loving this series so far, am about to fall down this rabbit hole with a big smile on my face.

So your year one video is about the idea of Disneyland, not the first year of operation and your year two video is strictly about opening day and not the 2nd year of operation.
Oh boy. I guess nothing else of note happened in its second year of operation. Or first year?

would put a stop to it. They would not let the orange trees to be cut down.
