- On a lovely Florida autumn day, Jane takes her canvas, acrylic paint palette and easel outside to paint a cottage en plein air in her bold colors and style. She had another location in mind, but when she walked by this corner, she was smitten by the shadows and sunlight playing against the house. She had to stop immediately and set up her easle and begin her painting before the sun shifted. Follow along as she takes you through her process. I recently painted outside wirh acrylic..hot day, largish canvas. The secret is a staywet palette and spray bottle. Lean into the fast drying. You can layer and work fast, and it doesn’t turn to mud like oil.
