It was wildly entertaining just watching you guys play these games. I really miss arcades how they were when I was a kid...I enjoyed watching the pros play more than blowing my couple quarters I would have.

That was actually a pretty good video, reminiscent of the old days of arcades playing 2 players with your friends.

Lots of good advice on Zookeeper which I'm obsessed with at the moment - another good video John Also you have to run right at the tanks in Robotron - hard to do sometimes but the only way I have found of beating them

I used to play this loads as a kid, we used to pull our sleeves over our hand and slide over the buttons to run.
+craig gilchrist I remember the comb trick. Have no idea how to do it today. :)
I too did the comb trick on the buttons. The version I played had these raised collars around the backs of the buttons that was brutal on the fingers. The comb trick worked wonders on that game.
Yeah, Buttons had to be pretty flush with the cab for the comb to work. Ive seen kids use socks on there hands with furniture polish on them to make em slide faster. Us gamers, if we can find a way, we will.
This would be a awesome "Vs. Series", every month or so.

PROTIP (Track & Field):
When in the Long Jump and Javelin Throw events, you do NOT need to button mash as it does not help in distance. Thought you should know. ;)
...As for the High Jump...
How the hell WAS I to know the running was automatic? AND the contest being the endurance-laden game of Vertical Chicken this session played out as? O.o

Really enjoyed watching you guys play Track & Field (was called Hyper Olympics in the UK). It brings back the memories! do you have it on a dual switch with Hyper Sports? :-)
+Andrew Butler I used to have a Hyper Sports PCB that I would swap out. However, I really didn't find it nearly as cool as plain old Track and Field.
Super Hang On is like this game but SHO seems harder.

I could be wrong, but, I thought the rule of thumb was to jump on step 10? Does that not work as the bar gets higher?

Don't count the little stutter step at the beginning, but count the audible 'step-sounds.' ON his 10th step hit the jump button. Time your pressing of the jump button to coincide with that 10th step - I like to think that I interrupt the step sound with the jump button. I don't think that really happens, but, it helps with my timing.
Should land you right between the M and I in Konami and leave you a good distance away from the bar for a good jump.
I've been playin the saturn port of robotron alot lately. i suck way worse i dont see how people do it. i think my highest score is 200,000 n somethin

John's Arcade Game Reviews & Tech I'd say so! part of the Arcade's Greatest Hits The Williams Collection. i first played it on the n64 in the Midway's Greatest Arcade Hits. im sure the ps1 version is good too. i think the n64 controller was one of the best for it because it kinda has a twin d-pad layout. on the saturn pad it tooks some gettin used too but i got it down now. s-video makes it crisp and nice. I broke 300,000 the other day it was awesome.

There is a cheat on Robotron arcade game and also on the Williams greatest hits package on the PlayStation 1 on the brain's level pick up all the mommies that leave Mikey the kid alone make sure the brains don't process them into quarts but be able to kill all the brains off then pick up Mikey the last person to pick up the next level's nobody will fire a thing and it becomes a little easier
You should turn off Pole Position when you're not playing it!
