      I've been a Lions fan since the early 80s. I have found myself rooting for the Browns a lot in recent years. You could even say I've become a Browns fan since their 0-16 season. Both teams have had very similar problems, so I have a huge soft spot for the Browns. I'd really like to see both teams battling one another in this year's Superbowl. Anyway, the reason I'm commenting is because I don't think the Browns choked. They played a solid game and for both teams being 1-8 that year they sure didn't play that way. Great exciting game.

      Browns where robbed

    • @craigpaulson3503
      @craigpaulson3503 5 лет назад +3

      @@andrewruiz1810 well as a Lions fan I certainly understand the feeling of being robbed. Both teams deserve much more respect than they get. Maybe we can have a rematch in this years Superbowl. Wouldn't that be something? It's time for our teams to get some respect. What gets me is the Browns draft Mayfield and bring in some amazing players during the off-season and now they're being noticed, but nothing is said about Detroit. They brought in a lot of the leagues top talent and they are treating us even worse. We hovered around 10th-15th until last year and now we're at the bottom. The Packers had a horrible season(who we've swept the series the last two years) and they're ranked 15th...one spot above the Browns on some analysts rankings. Stafford was a top 5-10 QB until last year and now he's at the bottom of the list. The analysts aren't ranking teams and players anymore, they're just sharing their favorite players. The NFL makes me sick...I hate that I love it so much tho.

      @Jim Johnson looking at film it can look obvious that he could've pushed him out at the 30 but I know from my years of play though middle/high school coaches always stressed pursuit angle, you can also think that what if calvin misses the tackle/doesn't get him out of bounds, the last ditch effort is now out of the play, in prevent defense it's the same reason they put him all the way back, and why other teams put their best athlete as far back as possible, that's just from my experience though yours could very much be different

    When Stafford came back in after that gruesome injury and still threw the game winning TD, he INSTANTLY endeared himself to the entire city of Detroit. That’s our QB!!

    We should have won that fucking game. I watched this game live. It was the first time in a very long time it was exciting to watch us play. Still lost in the end on an Emmy winning performance from Matt Stafford no less.

    I feel so bad for joe thomas. Spent literally his whole career on a terrible team. One of the best tackles of all time. Yet the year his body breaks down, they go 0-16. And then he retires before baker mayfield comes in... just sucks how unlucky he was for being such an amazing player

    The intentional grounding penalty wasn't even correct, because Stafford's knee was down. Therefore, it was a safety regardless of any fouls.

    Believe it or not these two teams used to battle it out in the 50s for titles!! They played each other four times!!! With Detroit winning three!!! In all Clevend won 3 titles in the 50s and so did Detroit!!! And Detroit is still the only NFL team to not make it to the Superbowl!!! ( Technically I myself count the Browns because they are basically the Ravens)!!!!!!

    He had a lot of dropped passes here...but if Brady Quinn played every game like he did here; he woulda been a 12 year Browns starter, made a few pro-bowls, and taken the Browns to the playoffs a few times at least.
