*tears in eyes* The last scene is always going to be one of the saddest.....after all Hotch is the father figure for the team. It's sad that he left the show this way. It shouldn't have been. He should have left like how Morgan did in Season 11 or how JJ did in Season 6 or even how Emily did - the various times that she left the show. Hotch's departure will always be incomplete for me.
i don't disagree with the sentiment for the character's departure ... however, the actor left us very little choice in that matter.

@@dhinton1 I agree with you, but it still doesn't mean that they had to cut him out like that. They could have brought him back for 1 episode during the season or the seasons after to give closure for the other actors and for us. As a way for him to say goodbye to everyone. After all, Morgan came back for a few episodes. And they brought back Emily to replace Hotch.
David Hinton actually the actor who played Hotch got fired from criminal minds due to a fight he had with a producer

the characters openly saying "I love you" to each other always makes my heart so happy, even when it's sad. it's so important to show friendships and platonic love as being just as deep and important as romantic love.
Rossi is the sugar daddy who's not interested in the sugar and just wants a companion to listen to Sintra and make pasta with, and Garcia fits that role perfectly

I realize that Penelope never call Hotch or Rossi or even Gideon with something she colorful or flirtatious. Anything that shows her way of love, because she cant cross the line between family and professionalism but deep down she knew they were her family

They shared such cute moments together, Rossi was one of the only few who could get hotch to get out of the dad role and relax. The scene that comes to mind is when the reaper had killed that whole bus of people and hotch cried and blamed himself for it, Rossi snapped him out of it with a nice tough love speech then we got a rare Hotch smile moment from it

@@YourMom-wn2iy It's a pretty major storyline to spoil if you are only on season 4. Pro tip don't watch compilation videos when you are new and so far behind. Things will be spoiled for you. Storylines and ships to name a few. The last clip is a very important BAU member left the team abruptly to go into witness protection. So they never got the chance to say goodbye or anything. As a storyline it's faulty because they are members of the FBI. Another team member had previously went into hiding through witness protection and yet was still able to meet everyone to say goodbye. They also kept in contact with 1 member of the team so this character in ugh forget it I'm venting about a storyline not making sense and you aren't even there yet. When you get there and it pisses you off or makes you sad remember me and come back and chat about it. 😊😉

The last scene speaks to me a little; when I was 11 I saw my Nan as usual on a Friday and overnight she had a heart-attack and passed away in her sleep. I was devastated and I couldn't for the life of me remember whether or not I said I loved her when I said goodbye for the night. It bugged me so much that even now when I finish a phone call with a loved one, or go to bed or similar I *always* say "bye/night love you." and my parents and older brother started doing it too and now it's something we do pretty much every time we interact with each other, even 20+ years later.
