I've enjoyed listening to the Hanging With Hero on 3 hour trips to visit my elderly Mom. I'm 70 and have been enjoying stamping for over 30 years so I've experienced the journey and growth of the industry. Thank you!
I love this series! I love Simon and have watched his videos for several years.
It's been amazing watching Simon grow as a creative spirit! Seeing the pictures of his early years makes my mom heart happy.
I'm finally able to watch the replay. Simon is an awesome talented guy. I love watching his videos and how patient he is when doing his techniques. Cheers to Hero Arts, Aaron, Jennifer & Simon!
I h ave watched them all- some live and others on replay. Today is replay- but I really like to hear how everyone started getting crafty. Thank you!
So see to see his progress in our community! Love this kid❤. He is an inspiration and a good human❤(yes hes still a kid😊)thanks for these chats!
Thank you so very much for these wonderful conversations!! I just love hearing everyone’s stories!!
You all are so fun, positive and inspiring! 😀🤗💐🌷🩷
I was late to the party but enjoyed watching the replay. I do love Simon and his products. Love my hanging with hero fix. Well done team.
A bit late to this, but I wanted to say I definitely got started in card making from Simon's YT shorts. I was already in the environment from having a Cricut. But I think it definitely moved me away from the computer cut to more of the handmade.
Jennifer, Aaron, and Simon are all great inspirations and so glad to have found this community!
Aaron & Jennifer I LOVE these videos. Thank you for doing these. I am so very much enjoying the guest & topics!
Catching this on replay… so great to listen to these stories. Love Simon and his products as well as his teaching style ❤😊
Loving this format, learning about the wonderful content creators. Grateful too, that replays are available; life doesn't work out to catch the lives very often. Really enjoying the "rabbit hole"! Cardmaking is my place of calm contentment. 💌
This is one of my favorites from the series! LOVE that you are doing these.❤
Cool series, so energetic, thank you ❤
Catching the replay this week. Thank you for keeping these conversations available to be listened to if we miss them live! I would be very sad to miss any of them completely.
Awwwwwwwwww, I love the story of Simon's initial start in crafting. My granddaughter is ADHD ~ I just texted my daughter about Simon channeling his creative energy into crafts (though she'd probably be happiest playing Zelda every waking minute LOL). Thank you for sharing that with us Simon. That really touched my heart! And can I just add that we know we're happy to be in the rabbit hole if we're happy to watch a 1h 23m just TALKING about card-making and not watching any cards get made! LOLOL
Enjoy this series, so informative. As I’m listening I am creating cards with many of my Hero Arts rubber stamps. They sit on my shelf in my craft room as part of my decor & inspiration. Please keep making this type of video.
Simon, it's really important that you dont compromise your vision. We need young people in the industry bringing concepts that will connect with young consumers to continue to grow papercrafting! If we don't shift, it will 😢
I enjoyed the replay. It's so unfortunately for me that I'm working every time you go live. Please keep up the great work. Thank you all.❤😊
Love Simon!!! Love his pastes!!!
Aaron I was blown away by your reference to "Sliding doors" movie. It has long been a favorite of mine as I've had one of those moments like in the moving at the end with the erring. My now husband made one of those kind of comments that I'd said many times before. It came from Gumball Rally movie where the Italian driver talks about things that appear in his rear view mirror. It is an obscure comment and no one, until him, had ever heard it much less repeat it as he finished my sentence with the rest of the quote. I knew right then that we needed to be together. We've been married over 20 years. You mentioning the movie just made me recall my moment with him after all these many years. I've loved this hanging with Hero series. I've been die cutting lots of images for a future class I'm teaching and listening to all of them and REALLY enjoying them all. Some stories I knew, most I didn't. Thanks for being the Godfather of rubber stamps and producing these informational videos. Big thanks to JM also for her contribution. I was a long time Hero Kit member just because of JM's videos using the kits. Big thanks
Simon is the best! 👍
Love these Hanging Out videos. Learning so much. So glad that a 50 year old company is still going and letting us know and learn so much from them and everyone else.❤️
Lovely Live ~ this is an interesting live series!
So interesting to hear how you (Simon) started out & your motivation & what you like!
Recently I've been able to get your Lunar Paste and Neon collections so can't wait to play with them! ^.^ ♥
The best thing in crafting I came up with (because Simon is telling the story about putting stuff ob projects which are drying): get yourself one of those cookie cooling racks! Mine is three tiers it only takes up a little more desk space than a standard piece of cardstock (8x5 inches or so? Sorry, I have such a hard time with the US measurements…) but you can put a good twelve or so cardfronts on there at any one time…
Love red rubber stamps , must have all of them 😊
I have enjoyed this series and thank you for giving us more background on the industry.
I live the long form videos!! Thank you for keeping them going
Thank you so much for these amazing videos - I would love to part of the live experience, too but I just can’t make your chosen timeslot: it works out to 1am for me here in Europe 😭😭😭. So glad that there are the replays at least! Kind regards from Germany, Nicola
I’d not been interested in the solar pastes but didn’t understand the concept. Thought they were just another stencil paste. Since Simon’s explanation I’m now much more willing to invest. Thank you for explaining.
I love the pinstripe stamp with the variations that can be done with removing sections.
Missed the live; first to watch the re-play! I just bought Simon’s glitter paste, so now I have all three, and the stamping Foam, peel-a-part backgrounds, etc! Love Simon❤
Great conversation… thanks! Have a great day! 🙂
This community is all about Kindness which I feel is so important today and I teach elementary art I made the students and inspiring kindness is as important as the creativity. I find creative people are good under pressure. I love Simon and Jennifer long videos I am always inspired and use many of the techniques with my students. Have a great Summer 😊
Caught the replay! Fantastic interview with this young man. I agree with the red rubber stamps and try to buy them over the photopolymer stamps. I do own both but the red rubber detail is like no other. Simon, just bought your new Astro paste which is awesome. Looking forward to using it on holiday projects! Also, loved the sketched Santa stamps you came out with and purchased those as well. Keep up the great work and inspiring others!
I had to catch the replay this time. I've seen all the others and I definitely recommend them. Very interesting!
So fun to watch. Sorry i missed the live. 😊
Craft & Ghost stories would be sooo FUN!!
I love these so, so much. I've watched every one, but can't always watch live. I was wondering if Simon's mom is a card maker? I don't think I'm a procrastinator with creating...I do a lot of work in my head before I sit at my desk! Love you all! ❤
I grew up in the Bay Area (Danville) & have been stamping since I was a teen, 40+ yrs. I taught at many stamp stores & almost all are now closed. The Stamper’s Warehouse, CA Stampin…I do miss the brick & mortar stores. BUT do ❤️all the vids online!!
Isn't he this young fellow who has loads of potential, just like Tim Holtz?! I mean not in creating itself perse, but yeah... Simon has such an innovating look at things. I like him. A lot, and I also love his products. I've all of his inks, quite some lunar/astro pastes and stencils aznd stamps.....yep, I'm in it too.
Just said to my husband: I'm in the rabbit hole. He looked up from his phone, and asked... What???
I spoke on repeat and he didn't get it. 😂😂😂
Greetings from Colorado
Long live long form!
Watching the replay.
Aaron-how long has Hero Arts been in Richmond next to The Rosie Museum?
Darn i missed it!
I was not at all interested in red rubber stamps as I am not a good stamper so having a clear stamp meant that I could see where I was placing it, however I really got into stamping once the stamp press came along as I am NEVER able to place a stamp back in the same place. It is getting worse as I age!!
Not all people who watch short videos don't craft 😢 .. we might just have full time jobs and follow a few people so shorter ones is sometimes all one can fit in! Sometimes only need the spark of creativity & sometimes it's just how much time we have.
I can hear you very clearly.
The sound is a little rough on this one. Jennifer’s mic was rubbing against something when she moved and muffled the speaker
You didn’t ask Simon about his embossing folders and the dies.
Where do I send my information for my gift card. Thank you
