it must great going under your trucks in AUS, so clean and very little to no rust, here in uk its a nightmare looking under the truck, keep up the good work.
Definetly nice being able to get bolts undone 🤣 have seen some horrendous rusty vehicles on the discovery 3 and 4 pages and always European 🤣🍻
That was relaxing for me in front of the TV. Normally I am in that position. Winter clothes? I saw none. Christian
That's how I feel when I watch your videos 🤣 always making up tools on your lave and getting me jealous haha
Man. We out here struggling with this disco life😂. Mine is coming together now. And here is a fact for all of you . Changing the turbo is actually a bitch even with the body of. Give this man the respect he deserves.
Haha thanks kami
how far away are you now mate ?
😅👍My winter clothes look definitely different. I'll bet your camshaft seal is leaking because you didn't push it in the LR Time style. We'll we had a leak too on that camshaft seal because we didn't push it in correctly. Hope everything worked out for you. I am finally going to appreciate that Christian is putting a high lift into our driveway. So if my Turbo goes one day, it will be a body-off repair. 💪😃🙋♀Vera
Well, we screwed up a camshaft seal as well and we did use our high end LR Time push in tool. Problem was the tool slipped into the chamfer. Arg. Had to open it again on Veras car. Christian
@@Vera_and_Christian 🤣 what's wrong with the that's about 1mm approach 😅🤣 could be a high possibility
I'll be wearing a t shirt and socks with my crocks whilst kerry is wearing her heated jacket and socks
Still not to cold here I think it hit 0 degrees the other day 🤣
Also trying to budget in a hoist when I extend the shed still a few years away though
Thanks for the tip on making the tool i was so temted to just pull the moter today i cant thank u enougth
But on the one im working on they weld an nut on one of the pipes also giving me an headace
Man it's such a pain in the butt haha honestly such a hard engine to work on, have you got it out yet
Great job looking forward to part 2 👍 socks with crocks 😱let's hope Christian doesn't get his Lederhosen on 😱😱😱OMG
Hahaha 🍻🤣
Thanks grate wideo 👍👍👍
Good job.
Good time to change your AC pump as well!! Hope that's not next. Same age as ShaneShed's. Your car is super clean underneath!!!!!
Well if I ever need to change my turbo I know who to see to borrow the specially tools...
Always doing some major work man! Those TDV6s need the extra love huh! Over here in the states, I got the gas V6 4.0, pretty solid engine, all I’ve ever done is an EGR, damn gas hog though!
🤣 it's never ending woukd live to get the v8 petrol over here but super rare to find one
Only other thing with the v6 4ltr its timing chain guides from memory but as you said a solid engine
Hi great video sometimes the rod on the actuator becomes lose and jams on one of the nut heads what I do is take the heat shielding of in the wheel arch . I have 2 hack saw blades glued together you only 4 inches of it the2 make it stiffer and shave 2 mill of the top nut head the arm can’t jam then
I’ve done 8 of them now a lot easier than doing a turbo
Hey William great advice I'd went through all these checks before hand spent alot of time going through everything before committing to the job 🤣 actuator was nice and free with very little play
I misaligned the actuator when replacing the turbo cartridge during my engine rebuild unfortunately
Extra 10 minutes for the cross member. Mine took about 6 hours.
🤣 I'm guessing your in the UK or Europe somewhere ?🤣
Dropped that cross member on a fair few over here in Australia and because rust isn't to much of an issue here there always friendly to me when doing so haha
Brilliant mate, thats one hell of a job, would you mind doing a quick view on the actuator on the bench, mine i think is goosed i would appreciate that or in Insta, excellent as always mate
Hey John not currently home sorry but if you skip through to the disassembly of the turbo on this video it will give you a good view it's from when I replaced the cartridge on the one I remove in this video

Well I might end up having to do a turbo replacement on my D3. Actuator is sticking and playing up resulting in bugger all boost
I respect the work u are doing, will u tap thread in the top 2 exhaust stud holes and put bolts with anti seize on then in?
The new turbo actually had no thread in the turbo so I just passed a bolt through with a mechanical lock nut of the other side * metal style rather then rubber *
Hello Mate, i was having a Engine System Fault message on my dashboard so i decided to remove the Turbo on my 2005 Range Rover Sport 2.7TDV6 and cleaned the internal Turbo Vanes to ensure free movement of the Turbo Actuator Arm. Before removal of the Turbo i was getting error code P132B-00 - Turbo/Supercharger boost control A performance (permanent), now after cleaning up the Turbo, i also decided to reAdjust the adjustment screw settings for the actuator arm to have more room for movement. After re installing the Turbo back in the car the Engine System Fault error was gone and there were no more error lights on my dashboard. I am now getting DTC P138E Turbocharger boost control position sensor A - minimum/maximum stop performance with no error lights on my dashboard. I am also experiencing power loss on high rpm with these DTC's "B1B02-28 Low Frequency Coil" and "B1C57-14 Unused relay drive". Could you please help me solve the problem with my car. It is a 2005 Range Rover Sport 2.7TDV6.
Thanks
Morning brakelyn
Cleaning the vanes would of helped the actuator move freely and helped get rid of that code
Unfortunately these are pretty sensitive to adjust and I misaligned mine I also got the control position a fault after doing mine and occasionally the a couple of other faults I can't remember the name of to go with it
Once I replaced the turbo with a new unit they all went away
Chances are your turbo actuator is out of adjustment now that you have played with the adjustment screw
Ive got shed envy! How's that floor?!
Something is wrong with your Disco. It's missing the air suspension 😢
Hat off to you on this job. I just did the coolant inlet and did a comparatively crappy yt vid on it. Found it pretty difficult tbh.
🤣 floor doesn't look like thay any more all stained and chipped
Unfortunately she's the base model which was factory coil sprung so no choice in the matter
Quality of the video doesn't mean much anyway dude just focus on getting the correct information out there and people will appreciate it
I no my videos are boring to watch but I no it helps others so I keep doing them haha
Good luck with your channel
got a SWMS for the angle grinder & multis hehehe
🤣 definetly not a mine site approved approach that's for sure 🤣🍻
Just as a side question, at the end did turbo replacement fixed the issue you had with engine error in 6th gear, or was it something else?
Hello yeah the turbo fixed the problem, the only reason it faulted in 6th gear was because of where it sat in the rev range so the auto had nothing to do with the fault if that what you were thinking
I just had to keep the revs high to stop the turbo actuator closing off which ment not using 6th gear at 100kmph
Hope this helps
@@OUTBACKDiscovery i have manual one but with the same issue. On/off and the error is gone, but it comes back when i accelerate in low rpms or when over 3k overtaking. Changed the intercooler hoses and cleaned MAP, EGR is vlanked off, so my assumption is turbo (i checked and actuator seems to move as expected visually)... :(
@@serpentonline true what fault codes are you getting ? Is it something along the lines of boost actuation C or similar wording
It is the same on range rover sport 2.7 tdv6?
Sure is Valentin 🍻
Would you be interested in doing a turbo swap job$$$
Hey brendo I would be however the time frame would be an issues as I'm currently booked up for the next couple of months
What engine is yours the 2.7 or 3ltr
