Do you have a F32 4 Series? How long have you had it, and how many miles have you done? Let us know what you think of it!
Yes. 2018 430d remapped by Remap KINGS (3rd car I've had done by them). 320bhp. Silly fast in Sport. Leave in comfort mode. 40ish mpg!
Thinking about an 428i coupe...
@@poowaffle Same here brother, just afraid that this 428 N20 engine is not as reliable as 430 B-engine
I have a F32 430D MSport non-Xdrive, with a stage one modification. It has 320bhp, and 720nm of torque. 0-60, is easily below 5 seconds. I have 20" 275s at the back, giving the car an aggressive stance. I love my 430D, it is stupid fast, and a real drivers car. Mine has some great specifications, and it has some random specifications. The great specifications are the sport automatic gearbox, extended red leather interior, the stiffer non-adaptive MSport suspension (S704). It has Active cruise control, which is rare on this generation of car. The heated steering wheel is nice. There is a button below sport mode for the front peak cameras. They are in the wheel arches, and allow you to see left and right, when pulling out of tight spaces, or at blind junctions. Another neat feature is the rear retracting sun blind. Leave it up at night, and it offers another level of protection for those who drive around with full beams. The only thing my car does not have is the HUD. I did hold out for that option, but I never saw it with these other options together.
What I am most impressed with is the Harman Kardon surround sound system in my car. Most people do not realise there are not one, but two different versions of Harman Kardon sound system on the F32 4 series. The lower quality version is the BMW HK Hi-Fi system (S674A), which has 12 speakers, a 360w 8 channel amp, and 2 ohm subwoofers under the seats. The premium version is the BMW Harman Kardon surround sound system (S688A). The car you are driving in, has this, easily identified by the tweeter and midrange speakers on either side in the back of the car. The S688A is a premium sound system, which was a £2k option when new, with 16 speakers, a 600W 10 channel amp, with 2x 8ohm subwoofers under the front seats. The S688A also has fibre--optic wiring to keep the sound true to life, and there is a setting on the iDrive for logic7 surround sound (another indicator for the S688A sound system). My 430D can also play DVDs, and there is a 20gb internal HDD for storing music.
I love my 430D, and this generation of BMWs. I am going to drive it until the doors fall off. When the doors do fall off, I am going to upgrade to the only other car I desire, the F82 M4...
Nice one. That is a lovely spec of car. Heated steering wheel is an option I wish more cars came with. I didn't know that about the Harmon Kardon system tbh.
Not only is this the best car BMW has ever made, it's the best car BMW will ever make
I’m getting a 430d soon, can’t wait! 😁
My current car, since 2017. F32 two door, 3 litre diesel. 95,000 miles. In red as well! 😊
I want that color combo on my car so bad😫😫😫
Even my Fiesta has a cubby under the light switch! Great review as always.
😂 mad ain't it. Cheers man
Comprehensive review and informative, I own the f32 440i and it has an amazing engine plus I've got the m sport trim and mppsk so it sounds awesome, perfect blend of luxury and performance
Cheers! 440i is a sweet car :)
What a great review
Cheers :)
Yes, the F32 is soooo much better looking than the new model. Never mind the grill but look at the lines, there is no competition.
I personally think a stock E92 is more beautiful than this.
@@bosansekali898 Well it's a bit more "modern" looking, whatever how history would judge it, still the E46 has less electronics and is more pure in terms of classic engineering. But yes, the E92 is very very nice and MUCH better looking than the new 4-series.
F32 420d 😅 love it sapphire black coupe love it! Beamers are the best drives GOAT
I went from a 2012 Cooper S to the 2018 430i as my daily driver. I still love my Mini but the F32 is definitely way better for daily commutes and long drives.
i have the the 5 door version, the f36 gran coupe. It's an 430i. I own it since October 2023 and have no regrets
How reliable is it?
im gettiing mine next week. what is needed is to update to a digital cluster , add a new media player and change headlights to LED so that makes up updated to today's standard
Sweet, as you say, then you'll have a new car. Enjoy it!
Recently chose an Audi S5 over one of these for a few grand more. The the massively more modern tech, Quattro, sportier noise and quicker acceleration made it an easy choice.
Can't fault your choice there 👍
@@JJonCars thanks for the reply! Have you had the chance to drive the Panamera hybrid by any chance? Many company’s electric car schemes have it as an option because of the hybrid powertrain and was wondering if it’s decent..
@@bobsworth7082 I haven't, but I suspect it's a rather nice car :)
Hi JJ, would you swap it for your Merc?
I'm not a massive fan of red cars but my goodness, it suits this one really well.
I'm personally more of a fan of how older cars feel to drive, the weighting of steering and other inputs. The 4 series is a great car but I'm happy with the Merc!
It does doesn't it. And red is a great colour for RUclips vids, most cars are quite subdued colours... Not so good for thumbnails haha
No mention of leg room in these cats. I find the feet wheel well for the drivers left foot a little cramped against the transmission. I have come out of a bigger frod though.
I got mine 2 moths ago is a 428i 2016, is fast enough to get you in trouble but is not a crazy thing that you feel unsafe.
I love it.
I have the 435D xDrive M Sport, great car and very quick for a diesel
The performance is crazy isn't it. Definitely needs that xDrive to keep it on the road when you floor it
@JJonCars Absolutely. I have just put some Pirelli PZ4's on 20 inch rims and it just hooks every time off the line.
My choice would be the 4 door version for the boot space but in reality I would just buy a 3 series touring
3 series touring is a sweet car
Do vyou think this is more or less comfy than a c207 e coupe you have reviewed before?
The C207 is one of the best grand tourers for the money, so if you really want long distance comfort above all else, get the E Class :)
The interior looks immaculate. About the missing 6 cylinder noise, if one goes down to 3 cylinders there's that burpy throaty noise again.
Oh yes, the 1.5 3 pot in the 418i!
@@JJonCars I think 3 cylinders in this heavy car is gonna be a monthly adventure to the service shop
i copped a 428 v low milage. it's a chick car but a fun ride fsho
Im thinking getting an 440i
You'll enjoy it trust me
Picking mine up next week 420d auto 35k miles m sport plus fbmwsh £18k 😊 2018 model
Nice one, enjoy!
@@JJonCars it's crazy I drove one as a hire back in 2017 for a week and now I'm going to be owning one first BMW 😁
you just can't be the old fashioned hand brakes.
True that!
Would just like to add a 2014 Jaguar XKR. 5L V8 and has 4 seats, kind of...
Yes, kind of 😄
The 4 series Coupé was released in June 2014.. not 2010...
"2010's" is referring to the decade. As in, it's the ultimate coupe of that decade (2010 - 2019)
You forget the price of the car
I dont usually mention price as it will change over time and no longer be relevant
Yeah lovely looking car that. I agree with that thing under your thighs - have it in our XC90 & just don’t get the point!!
It's for the long legged only!
I am fairly long legged and it doesn't do anything for me haha.
@@Oli_Hudson how long do your legs need to be? I’m 6’2 😅
I'm 6ft5 and find those seat extenders provide under thigh support!@@willoffer7119
