- //Throughout generations of black pelted cats worshipping the bond between felines and corvids the rare event of an oddly colored kit being born is a fate to be feared. The twisted, historic morals are to get rid of it through any means. But when Crowkit is carried away to meet her end in the jaws of Raveneye; the clanleader and her own father, fate decides otherwise. //
After months of work this PMV is finally done! It's been so much fun and a great learning experience, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

I have a feeling that Crowsong's birth was meant to be a test of sorts from Corvidclan's ancestors. They were aware of how detrimental their black-cat supremacy was, and allowed Crowsong to be kept alive as a way of introducing more diversity into the clan, and to see if the current generation of cats would change their ways for the better. However, after the constant torment and apathy the clan showed towards the innocent kit, it was clear to the ancestors that Corvidclan would continue their twisted ways, and instead opted to punish the clan. This could explain why the corvids prevented Raveneye from killing her and kept giving Crowsong visions to kill her clan mates, as they knew that the only way the cats would learn their lesson, was if their twisted societal norms were vanquished for good. Therefore, due to their cruelty and prejudice, the whole clan died with its shameful legacy.
Unfortunately, Crowsong was also a casualty to this fate. It could be that, due to the abuse she suffered, she was already too far gone to learn to move on from her torment and to start a new life for herself. Maybe if things turned out differently, Crowsong could have been given the opportunity to learn how to love herself, and maybe even could have moved in with Falconflight. Maybe Corvidclan could have met their end in a different way.....
Otherwise considering that her clan's own ancestors were on her side this whole time (as implied in this video), it's a shame she ended up getting killed in the end. This pmv was beautiful and really interesting! Can't wait to see more in the future!
@@_Kozen Yeah I definitely agree! It would also be nice if she were put in an in between place when she died, as it would represent her being given a second chance to eventually learn self love. That, and the sequel map that was teased at the end of "Open up Your Eyes" could be opening the door for her to become a happier cat in the end!

I'm curious to know how Corvidclan would react to seeing a white Corvid, seeing how they responded to the white kit. I also wonder what other kits have been born to have this rule to get rid of any mis-colored kits.
I feel like if they saw a white Corvid, it would either be taken as a sign of acceptance but some cats would still be wary and spiteful, or they'd completely mistranslate it as a sign that she should be killed/outcasted

Well I think in their clan the only white cat is Crowsong and that's because she's an albino and on toyhouse I don't know if Louixie has stated that any other character was born with white fur
@@user-dw2nd8oq4y they didn’t mean if any other character was born with white fur, they meant “what if the clan saw a white (albino) crow”, and I believe there is a rule for it. Any “off color” kits were killed as they were seen as curses. So it’s happened before.

Theory (Spoilers for those who didn't read the Toyhouse): Raveneye didn't go through with his intentions on Crowsong at birth when StarClan (The corvids) stopped him is because he didn't want to anger the birds that saved him from the hawk. He felt that by getting rid of Crowkit, he would run the risk of StarClan allowing harm to come to CorvidClan
I think it is because that in their beliefs they believe that the crows are actually able to communicate with the dead and they are seen as an omen?? So when the crows stopped Raveneye the clan saw it as a sign to spare Crowkit.Not wanting to anger StarClan (which would lead to very bad things) they decided to raise crowkit but they stil don't see her as one of them
That’s a good theory. Funny how he still mistreated her and ended up having a terrible fate like he feared in your theory.
I like the idea that they prevented him from killing her because they knew she'd be their demise and decided they must end
The layers of trauma and hurt echoing through the generations in this clan were too deep and horrible to ever be fixed. This downfall was necessary. Perhaps one day, they will rebuild themselves.
I cant help but notice the thumbnail. It resembles eyes almost, specifically Raveneyes. He turns a blind eye to how he finally has a daughter, and how happy his mate is to have a kit that survives at last. But the eye he can see with shows the ravens and Crowsong's silhouette, making things ominous and how he can only see the ravens preventing him from killing what he views as a danger to the clan. As a disgrace.

1:19 I think the corvids felt the despair from WeepingWind, or something else, like the hatred that Raveneye had, the unneeded hatred, and that was another reason for them to tell Raveneye to let Crowkit live.

The chorus of crows so forcefully interrupting a mothers lullaby to her child , seeing all of the different clan mates designs and themes how they all visually match each other yet retain their own personalities and uniqueness oh its all so YUMMYYYYYY !!!!!! Just fantastic stuff I can't wait to see what you do and where your talent and hard work will lead you, truly you create art in every sense of the word
LOU I'VE SEEN ALL THE WIPS BUT THEY DID NOT DO THIS JUSTICE, It's absolutely stunning! Perfect choice of song, the slow movements fitting beautifully with the shift in mood, and the crows singing part gave me chills!
Crowsong's story is bone-chilling. The expressions of the other clan members and the sheer presence of the crows... it's haunting and stunning at the same time. I cannot wait to see more of these characters. You truly have something special Louixie.
the terror in raveneye's expressio is so perfect. it beautifully portrays that the crows swirling around mean something, and it's something he fears.

That scene with the music booming as Raveneye looks up at the sky, and the birds all singing was SERIOUSLY amazing. I got shivers!!
Not to mention how high quality this is!! The shading and lighting, the expressions, you brought forward the narrative so well with the imagery I am SO thoroughly impressed by you every time!!

One thing that i noticed, Raveneye is featured with his left eye, symbolizing how he was on the wrong path, when the crows beg for crowkit to be spared, his two eyes come into focus, perhaps symbolizing how he has finally seen the whole picture. And when Crowsong is the highlight, her right eye is the focus, symbolizing how she is finally on the right track.
I may have misunderstood everything completely but this was a more point of view than anything else...
I feel like this clan has misread and misinterpreted SO many signs from Starclan... I wonder if their ancestors are becoming fed up with their descendants.
Maybe after dying, their ancestors can see the generational trauma being passed down and are making attempts to fix things in the way only Starclan can. Sending omens, prophecies, messages, *anything* to get their cats to listen and change for the better...
But the clan miserably failed Crowsong, not just at her birth, but for her entire life. This is one test of *many* that the clan had failed. Maybe she was meant to be a savior, the one that broke the generational trauma and finally freed the clan from certain types of oppression. The one gifted with special sight that could foresee terrible tragedies or receive prophecies to guide the cats. But when the clan rejected her, the 'savior' could no longer fulfill her role. The clan could not be saved.
So instead of changing things for the better, after failing so many "final" tests, their time had run out. Crowsong still fulfilled her role and "saved" the clan by destroying the poison from within, unable to end the cycle of generational trauma like she was meant to. Instead... she removed the clan's baggage in one night, permanently.
But that's just my nonsensical thoughts enjoying this gorgeous art, who knows what all the cats are thinking up in Starclan...
I’ve been following this story since the AR MAP part and I just want to say that this PMV accomplishes so much with a small run time! It really makes me believe how much Raveneye worships the crows and how the impact his decisions. And it really shows how distraught Weepingwind was and that she DID care for Crowsong at some point. This PMV does an amazing job with showcasing how these characters act, they’re so compelling!

To this day i cannot fathom the AUDACITY Raveneye had to treat Weepingwind the way he did, the ungrateful little bastard. She was his everything and he was her's. And it seems so easy for him to just leave all of that behind because he hates his daughter? Weepingwind's daughter? Smh I hate him so much, but the way you've written him and the rest of the lore is masterful.
That shot of Raveneye looking up at the crows gave me chills! The part was perfectly timed with the music, and I loved the shot of (I believe) Weepingwind’s paws with the crow feather. This is such a beautiful PMV, every frame was amazing. Even your watermark fits in in a way without disrupting the artwork

I know other have probably said this already but I really love how you put impact in each piece, you do know how to lessen pressure and know how to put it up high when the hit was gonna come. especially the crows scene, it send chills down my spine everytime,,,, and as I said before in birb channel, despite this music is about the sea it perfectly fits with this pmv, Crowsong's story too ;0;

This is literally bone chilling. The scene with the thousands of crows across the sky was so incredibly powerful. Everything about this was carefully crafted, drawn, and planned out perfectly and it shows.

Oh my gosh I love this, I'm also wondering based off of the wide-eyed reaction that Crowsongs father had at the end, I think he was most likely expecting the Crows/ravens to not accept her and instead they did. So her fate lies to the calls of the crows.

You can so clearly follow the story without knowing anything about it!! All the little details like the shine on the nose, the reflections in the eyes and the shadows the crows cast on the ground are GORGEOUS DETAILS!!!!

OH MY GOD OKAY I JUST NOTICED A POSSIBLY UNINTENTIONAL DETAIL BUT!!!! When the murder of crows shows up in the sky, the moon is shining very bright in the night sky, and then a couple shots later has Crowkit almost glowing like the moon against Raveneye’s black fur. It’s kind of like their ancestors are telling them Crowkit is going to be the shining moon of Corvidclan, signifying a change in their lives like the moon changes faces. Even at the end of the video, Crowsong is sitting in front of the moon, and in past videos, Crowsong is highlighted with a red moon when in the dark forest. Again, this association with Crowsong and the moon is probably a coincidence, but I find it interesting!

The sudden swell in the music to the corvids all circling above in the moonlit sky. Fucking chills. This is amazing and the way you capture emotion on the cat's faces is truly breathtaking and hits hard.

OK, so I might be REALLY late in saying all of this, but this PMV is truely a work of art in EVERY WAY!!!
For starters, the storytelling alone is so immersive and so well thought out that it got me to look more into Crowsong's story and the history of Corvidclan. Everything about it is so fascinating, creative and inspiring its literally like professional work!
Second, every single frame of this is GORGEOUS!! There is so much hekkin' detail in every frame, the amount of time and effort this must have taken you is ridiculous!!! There's is so much emotion in each character and all of them have such distinctive features that, even though they are cats, you know exactly who each and every one is and their personalities!!
Personally, I'm not an avid reader of warriors (though I have read and enjoyed the books) and most of the time I don't follow any warriors fan content, but man!! This peaked my interest and I am still blown away every time I see it! Now I get hype with anything made in regards to Crowsong and am excited to see more on her story! Keep up the fantastic work and continue to do what you love :DD

Holy-this is just incredible. The colors and highlights were stunning, and the moonlight and glowing eyes….I was in complete aw with each frame. I’m so excited to see what comes next for the Crowsong story!

What I’m wondering is why did Crowsong wind up being tormented by her clan mates? If the Corvids stopped Raveneye from killing her, then shouldn’t that mean that she should be worshipped? Since the Corvids themselves chose her?
If y'all don't play WoW, the story of this song is a daughter of an admiral who was technically blamed for her father's death. Back in Cata (I think) Garrosh (Warchief of the horde and an orc warrior) and the horde invaded Theramore (an human and alliance city), the daughter's name is Jaina Proudemoore and her father was in that invasion fighting against the horde (I think, it's been a while since i played cata and bfa) and technically was killed and Jaina was blamed even though she didn't kill him, and was hated by her people (The Kul Tirans) and her mother (Catherine Proudmoore).
