Following the loss of Omensky and now also her mother Weepingwind, Crowpaw has lost the 2 cats she felt some comfort and belonging to. Now she has to face her family's cruelty on her own, as well as finding strength in herself to find connection back to Corvidclan.
As she has visited their starclan-shrine, high in the mountains, her pale fur makes her a target for predator animals once more. But yet again she's also saved by the corvids which she and her clan worships and cooperate with. Crowpaw also finds new strength to move forward, taking with her tokens of feathers to always remind herself of her rightful belonging to the clan.

There has been no promotion nor mention of this project outside of patreon (nor is applying possible on patreon itself but only through the discord server as it is meant to be a server event ).
I don’t want it to be a matter of “paying to work for me”; patrons chose this project just like anyone freely chooses to join as a participant.

The two Corvid birds near the end (presumably Omensky and Weepingwind) were such a cool and heartwarming detail. Proof that Crowsong was never completely alone and that her ancestors acknowledged her mistreatment at the paws of her clan and wanted to make things right.
And the feathers were probably theirs too
They are the ones who caused it and damned her to hell. They are not innocent in any of this.

No, on Omensky’s toyhouse page, it says that if she had known about Crowsong’s mistreatment, she would’ve cursed the entirety of her Clan under StarClan’s will. And Weepingwind wanted to be close to her daughter, but couldn’t in fear of hurting them both, and she was also an outcast along with her daughter for being Crowsong’s mother, so she was also mistreated.
I love details like that! So precise and thoughtful, they add a layer of 'omg why is this so good' to it.
@@wayneshasmith7924 By the time Crowsong was born Omensky was already blind and deaf, so she literally had no idea what was happening. Say what you will about Weepingwind but Omensky was never given a chance to make things right.
It kills me to know she ended up in the Dark Forest after trying so, so hard. Looking at Raveneye's face at the end as he looks at his daughter, it's hard to imagine how he made it into StarClan after all the abuse. I just hope Crowsong can make it out and back to Omensky who loves her, and have the happiness she so dearly deserves but was so cruelly denied in life
In crowsongs world you only go to the dark forest if you think you should, he obviously had no regret so he made it into starclan, same gos for the others, which is also why ashkit is with crowsong in the dark forest, not because he did anything wrong, but because he felt like it was somehow his fault crow killed him, he didn’t know she killed everyone else tho so he thinks it’s something to do with him

I don't normally cry at movies or animatics, but I think this one really touches the visceral human need to be accepted, the feelings you portrayed of looking to those you've already lost for answers, and actually hearing an answer back, in the form of the crows (Which seem to be coded as the spirits of the fallen clan cats) who fly above her and sit close to her and watch over her, confirming that she is worthy of her place and of protection and love, man, that cuts deep. I broke at the end where after she passes her father(?) who clearly resents her presence, only for the two crows fly down to watch over her, as if Omensky (the one with the scar?) is bringing her newly passed mother to see her.
I agree wholeheartedly. This animatic also adds extra tragedy to her inevitable fall into insanity and villainy. Crowsong tried so damn hard to be good, to play by the unfair rules of her clan to earn her place amongst them. She was loyal, brave, and true to her clan mates even though all they gave her in turn was their apathy and contempt for something she couldn’t help nor control (her white coat and later her visions from Staclan). Even the catalyst for her descent into evil was done with the sole intention to gain a black coat, to finally belong and be loved by her clan. But after years of rejection and cruelty, she was pushed to the point of bloody revenge. Such a tragic character…
POV your me when watching fire on fire
This actually made me sob. Crowsong is such a highly in-depth original character, and I’m all for it. Though she’s a villain, you can definitely feel for her! Her actions may not be the right ones, but her upbringing gives reason for it.
Made out to believe she was worthless, she decided to take matters into her own paws. I’m beyond excited to see everybody’s art put together with your gorgeous character!!
Her actions were the right ones. Star clan told her to kill them even torture her through nightmares about it, her clan and parents all abuse and abandon her. What other options did she have whrn even the tge heavens told her to kill.
@@wayneshasmith7924 I wouldn’t imply killing as “the right actions” as murder just isn’t the answer. This /is/ a original character and I’d prefer not to argue over it! The paragraph I wrote was a positive one and how I admire the character and feel for her! I’d rather not discuss the topic any further. :)

@@wayneshasmith7924 That’s Fine, I know you don’t want to argue. :) I can come off as passive-aggressive sometimes so I just wanted to get it out there that I wasn’t here to argue ^^.
And hmm, it’s a very hard topic because it’s not my character and we don’t know the full parts of the story. But the Darkforest told her to do these things, she could’ve defied them I guess? It’s really hard to know. Haha.

I find it so interesting that the Corvids continuously saved her and wanted her to stay in the clan despite what Crowsong would eventually do that same Clan especially when it’s implied they know about it.
I love this entire concept, but can I just say the detail at the start where the owl makes a move at her is a great detail? I might be looking too much into it, but I feel like that's nodding to the fact Crowsong is an albino, which means she'd stick out a whole lot to predators.
This is such a gorgeous animatic! Your MAPs never cease to impress, so I'm really looking forward to this one

I might be misinterpreting this, but part 14 looks like Crowsong is being surrounded by corvids with white patches, and it’s probably in a dream. Considering the fact that we know Crowsong has extremely, strong kind of prophetic nightmares, the fact that she’s dreaming of something nice, is interesting. It’s also kind of sad that Crowsong is dreaming of corvids that look a bit like her, a whole bunch of them surrounding her, and then she probably woke up after and remembered that that sort of thing could only happen in a dream. And that’s just sad.
Or, since we know CorvidClans ancestors take the form of actual corvids, it could be the spirits of off color kits of days past, white kits like her, all trying to comfort her. But that’s actually sadder.
This may be me reaching but are the two crows at the end omensky and weepingwinds spirits? I could be wrong, but I got those vibes! Also this is utterly gorgeous!!

SO EXCITED TO SEE ANOTHER MAP CALL OF CROWY BUT NOW WE GET TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THE PAST INSTEAD OF STORIES TOLD BETWEEN ASHKIT AND HER! I'M SO IMPRESSED HOW THE STORYBOARD DOESN'T EVEN LOOK LIKE A STORYBOARD, ITS AMAZING! WEEPINGWIND AND CROWPAW'S RELATIONSHIP WAS ALWAYS SOMETHING I WAS REALLY CURIOUS ABOUT.

Seeing how much pain Crowpaw went through as an app makes me really sad that she ended up in the dark forest rather than in StarClan with Omensky and Weepingwind
The fact you can make envoirments so pretty just in a storyboard is amazing!!
Lo creates such animation magic that I can't stop crying every time she does something related to Crowsong.
This story touches me so much, the atmosphere, the movements, even the static shots, everything is so alive and beautiful.

OH MY GOOOOD! LOUIXIE THIS IS BEAUTIFUL! CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT!
We see a bit more of their culture, the shrine in the mountains! Beautiful landscapes are a thing for me!! And we get the moment of Crowpaw getting her feathers from her corvid protectors from the owl! CorvidClan are fools for practically hurting her like this, over some very outdated ideas too!
The scenery is gorgeous! 1:01 of her communicating with the corvids, her visions and ooof you really gotta hurt my heart! 😭 1:18 Weepingwind's death! 1:26 Seeing Raveneye showing emotion other that stocism once again hurts even more when he looks at Crowpaw with anger, as if he is thinking "You don't deserve to mourn her!" He would truly rather blame her than think about how it was his actions that broke his beloved Weepingwind's heart. And seeing her go to sleep in Omensky's nest, aww ❤ The one true safe place for her. I did wonder if the elders shared a den with Omensky at some point but moved due to other reasons or because they didn't want to interact with Crowsong, felt disgusted that she would dare touch Omensky's nest or maybe dens work differently here.
1:57 Sealed the deal for me once again! Grandma Omensky and Mama Weepingwind coming to check on Crowpaw through corvids!
😢 Can't help but wonder if Omensky was heavily disappointed in her daughter for not doing anything to protect Crowpaw or if she instead set aside her disappointment just to check on Crowpaw with Weepingwind.
I'm curious to know how, if they had lived to see her, Velvetquince, Silkshade and Flintwhisker would feel about Crowsong.
😭😭 I also feel tearjerker (TVTropes for sad moments) feelings cause Shadowfern and Weepingwind would've been cousins since Velvetquince and Silkshade were sisters and Omensky was with Velvetquince!!

I have so much empathy for Crowsong. This made me cry because you can see in her eyes that she is trying so hard! She wasn't accepted by her clan and she still isn't. This a animation was so powerful for me because it made me look at the world differently. Some people cannot fit in and they are trying so hard. This is one of my favorite animations now. Louixie, your maps are so well done and so detailed even with the little things. I look up to you so much because of the way you do and see things on this channel. Thank you for reading this. ❤

The two crows in the end watching crowpaw...I think that these two are Weepingwind and Omensky, thats so sad and cute at the same time! ❤ awesome storyboard, louixie!
The tragedy is all the more poignant by the fact she never really founds her place in the clan. She would have been happier to run away from her abusive clan and find a life away from all this.

As always, Crowsong is gorgeous, and tears welled up in my eyes again when I saw how Raveneye looked at her. Her eyes are full of despair when she saw her dead mother... The way you convey emotions really makes me feel the emotions of Crowsong. Her story is a very unique sight in my life... Honestly, I'm going to cry right now because of this video.. 🥺

Holy starclan this made me cry at 6 in the morning! This character is so well built, we all know where she ends up but as more and more of her story comes out we can’t help but wonder if it was a mistake or some kind cosmic misjudgment, I don’t know why she ended up in the forest of no stars, and maybe it’s because I haven’t seen the end of her life yet, but I hope that there is a time she finds peace in everything’s she’s done.
Can't wait to see it finished! I absolotly love her story and I'm SO exiteted to lern more about her through animation!
