You'd expect a Russian orchestra would be top of the world, but I always have the impression it kind of drags Miko back. Comparing this to her performing the same variation at the YAGP, I think she felt more at ease at the YAGP.
I agree with you completely, Irina. The conductor did not maintain a steady tempo and for a variation heavy on jumping (and turning!) as this one is, that can make for a bumpy ride for a ballerina. Miko's got it, though. Total pro! Love watching her dance!
Funny...this is actually a track shes dancing to. There was no orchestra playing in the 1st round of IBC

The track wasn't wrong. She uses it all the time! It is slower because it was a choice of hers, to really nail those triple pirouettes and so that she has time to stand in balance and to do bigger jumps.
Amazing, the quality of her moves was just as big as this stage. BRAVO!

I hear people saying that she has a falter at the end of her pirouettes, but she does not. She ends perfectly, and she is very, very beautiful.
She did falter. Last two triples were not complete.

Remember that you're dancing because you love it. You know the choreography and you won't mess up. Just have fun and smile!

She is very good but in all of her videos she seems to falter slightly before she executes a turn she doesnt yet have the fluidity expected of a proffessional ballerina other than that though i have to say she is absolutely spectacular and i really have the feel she could go on to do great things in the world of ballet :)

You are beautiful but i think your pointe shoes donsn't suit you well, they are gaynors right? In all your video you have gaynors but they are bad to work with, it doesn t help you to get a better feet. You only feel good because of the arch of the shoe.
Some dancers including myself have a really deep arch so their pointe shoes are useless after 6-8 hours of rehearsing. So they have to buy a new pair of pointe shoes really often. But gaynors last way longer than normal pointe shoes.
