Annie, please reconsider writing a book. You have spent years compiling all the facts and it would not only be a small piece of justice to the guilty who are yet charged but it would be such a wonderful memorial for Joe, Tylee and all victims.
Having dealt with the over-the-top cruelty of one family member, in particular, I know any platform it's on would be riddled with troll comments. I don't have that kind of time to waste as writing a book about this case would be a herculean undertaking.

It had to have been an issue [if it was recognized] that Tylee was more intelligent than all the others that were around. That would have been a threat to Lori and Chad. Also, NO one there should have let Chad have access to JJ alone. He was pretty much a stranger to him he couldn’t have met very many times or had any comfort level with him.
You are a champion Annie. You fight for what is right, what is true. You follow the thread no matter what it exposes.
Your VIS is one of the most thoughtful and beautiful statements I’ve heard. I felt like I knew Tylee through your description of her, and it seems like someone was angry over the humanity you brought.
Commenting separately to also add that the strange stories told about why Tylee wasn't in the wedding photos are really disturbing given the context of what eventually happened. There is something really off about it all. It feels like Lori did not want Tylee in the photos because she didn't look a certain way (and the rest of the family did not stand up for Tylee). There's also something quite sad about the fact that Tylee was not amongst the bridesmaids, either. The fact that Kelsee now tells a different story is not very convincing...
This whole situation is a case study on the Cox family PR machine...
❧ Detail surfaces that makes the fam look bad.
❧ Dismiss truth teller with some garden-variety mansplaining. ("Tylee was at girls' camp so no story there.")
❧ Claim you're being victimized. ("People say stuff that's not true and everybody believes it. What are you supposed to do about that?")
❧ Add weight to your claim by saying you have proof your version is the true. ("We have pictures with her later.")
❧ Don't offer evidence of said photos. (Out of fairness, I gave them a month before addressing their claim.)
Ok, now y’all have me curious because quite honestly, as close as Colby said him and TYLEE were, WHY WASN’T SHE A BRIDESMAID?? I asked a while ago why we were discussing this, NOW I GET IT!!
@@AMurderousHeart It sounds like you gave them ample time. If such photos really do exist, I'm sure we'd all love to see them. Not merely as 'proof', but also because.... why *wouldn't* we want to see photos of Tylee being happy at her brother's wedding? I mean, surely this would be one other way to contribute to her memory. If Lori or Alex were in the photo, they could always edit them out. It seems odd that, if the photos existed, they wouldn't simply just.... share them?

Thankfully, my pain has been significantly abated by the conclusion of these trials. I think getting the monkey of school off my back has helped as well. And both came within weeks of each other. 🧡💚

I really Wish I had an aunt as amazing as you, & whom I think would fight for me & my name, & for justice. you're incredibly inspiring & have opened my eyes to the power that victims & their families DO have, if they dare look. & you've opened my eyes to the amount of truth that is left out of trials, even... & how much context is necessary to TRULY understand the dynamics of depravity in such complex cases & to make sense of the workings & motivations of such deviant hearts. I also feel like your approach & framework for analyzing the case facts is a great example for other ppl that are searching for answers of whose cases are cold, & they're in need of reasoning that will compel the police to investigate someone or something more, or again, etc... The FOIA examination & online timeline/platform is an awesome idea & toon that I hope you can talk abt to victim advocacy groups abt & share your story, let alone the directions, so that they can perhaps follow your example.(Esp if the case isn't as complex & layered in meaning/contexts as this one! But if it is... then even MORE reason to employ a similar strategy!) I hate to think what may have come regarding this case, had no kids been involved... & how long it would have taken for ppl to REALLY take a stand & report Lori/Chad to LE... & how many spouses & ppl would be dead... it's insane. & if FBI resources hadn't been devoted...
Bc the police were such complacent pushovers, I doubt their ability to do much of anything- plus , addd the power/influence of religion in those parts! Eesh. I think someone like you may have been the one that ended up having to solve it! Thank goodness for Rexburg PD.

Looking frwd to the next one. I hope you do undertake a project at the end of this that sets the record straight or clears up misunderstandings, & shares the important untold details/associations...
I think it could be your best shot at directing pressure towards the right authorities, & do a lot to promote reopening, or re-examination, of Joe's case; bc ive seen public pressure that's arisen from popularity/success of a documentary or similar project achieve this when other efforts have failed to. (Especially if able to lay out things like you can, & leave ppl wondering wtf LE would overlook or dismiss such convincing & obvious aspects of a crime, or rational conclusions... particularly when ppl like Lori are involved 🤦🏼♀️ smh).
I think you could create a very good program & even show your perspective of the true crime world from victim POV. Bc ppl need to be aware of the impact they have & that there's real ppl on the other side of screen, & real ppl in I'm involved in these crime stories/mysteries.
I just hope you do something, at some point- bc you've got the mind, POV, & voice that can REALLY make an impact, & ability to explain things & facts to back up your points , so that NOONE can argue (unless they want to look like a fool). You explain things masterfully. & make sense of things masterfully.
If you're bringing up supposedly inaccurate possibilities regarding the case(s)... or ppl insist you're making wrong (yet rational) assumptions... then someone should step up & prove them to be wrong! & give more info thats needed to conclude differently! If

Behind the scenes I’m building an AI app that will enable me to add new FOIA docs and show transcripts to eventually be able to ask any question I want about the case and get answers that span the various documents. And I plan to do something special with it outside the reach of the people who are fighting tooth and nail to artificially boost their voice to make it look like they are in the majority.

I'm definitely late to the game for this live, and you may not see this, but I just wanted to say how struck I was by you mentioning the three generations of missing people no one was looking for. Also how you felt compelled to reach out to Joe at such an extremely mind blowing time.
I admire you so much for all the work you have put in to bring truth to the surface out of the absolute murk that has surrounded these tragedies.
Personally, I sincerely wish you would write a book. I'm not interested in what any of Lori's family has to say. I do feel sympathy for Kay and Larry, but I actually don't trust them. Anything from Chad's bunch, to me, is a moot point.
As far as Lauren on Hidden True Crime, well I think these tragedies and trials were just another day at the office.
In my opinion, your voice on all this is the truest. So a book from you is the only one I would be interested in having.

Thank you for your kind words. I really considered writing a book because I'm quite sure most, if not all, of the books written about this case will only include details that won't subject them to the years of trolling I've dealt with. But I know that the friends and family members who have so much to hide and manage small armies of sock puppets will work feverishly to quash it. As I said last night, I've considered a project that I'd own, but if I did anything it wouldn't be until after all the FOIA docs come out.

I have always found Lauren to be a ghoul. i watched a few videos (about 3 years ago) but found her very off putting so I stopped. I felt even her husband cringed at her actions in videos.

Thank you. I understand that there are many who just can’t absorb the more uncomfortable facts around the case. What I don’t understand is when they come in my channel and rail against me when every other channel caters to their preferences. I’m not for everybody and don’t try to be. There are enough approaches out there for people to find their tribe. I just happen to adore mine.

Annie, if you were ever to write a book, you say it would pertain to overcoming childhood trauma from foster care... maybe it could be a compilation of these many life experiences and finding your day in the sun.
There are so many hurting, struggling with childhood trauma, tragedy, grief, loss and more. They all could use an example beautifully written, such as you might provide. It would offer an opportunity to dedicate it to Tylee, and all those from whom you gleaned something of learning, something you wisely adopted which assisted in bringjng you to the other side... this life is a forever learning journey. people value help to travel the rocky paths. ❤
Finally, have you seen the movie "sound of hope"? Amazing true story of Possom Trot, related to removing every child within a 150 mile radius, from foster care.
This is a beautiful and brilliant idea, Janice. Thank you for taking the time to help me process my options. This is a compromise I hadn't ever considered. Even though Tylee didn't grow up in foster care, I suspect we dealt with the same fear, that if we reached out to the wrong person for help and we weren't immediately removed from our homes afterwards, it could cost us our lives.

She & I never in foster care But having a narcissist mother that hates you & raises you 🤬 you up in ways you never realize. Still in my 60's I'm learning but I'm lucky she didn't destroy me.

And what's even worse you can tell that Lori thought she was really hip. LOL It was like this gray ensemble. Each piece might have been okay with something else, but the whole thing together was just awful and that color was awful on her as well

Regarding Stacey: Lori's cousin Megan was in an Ex-Mormon podcast. She spilled the beans about the Cox family. After she moved out from her parents home, she lived in Texax in an apartment w. Lori. She saw Alex on and off and they always ordered take away, watched movies and Alex was joking about everything inappropriate, but one evening he came by and was real quiet - which wasn't normal for him. He told Megan, that "Stacey said, she would take a big shot (of insulin) and go to sleep". Then he asked Megan, to go to with him, to check on Stacey. The Cox family were in Hawaii and Stacey slept in Barry and Janice bedroom. She was in insulin coma and the family didn't come home, when Stacey were moved to hospice care and she died without her immediate family around her. Megan said, in hindsight, she felt that she was Alex' alibi for a mercy kill. When I heard it, my blood froze.
She also talked about Berry's inappropriate behaviour around young girls. He wanted them to dressed up in bikinis for photoshoots (they were 13-14 at the time). I'm glad you were guarding your daughters from him.
Edit: I wrote, that Megan lived with Lori in California, but it was in Texas as Sarah_LeBlank wrote. Sorry, I wrote the comment in the middle of the night.
This is what Megan Connor said, but the apartment they shared was in Texas. I believe Megan is a family truth teller.
I’ve always thought that Stacy was the family’s first assassination. It’s way too suspicious that they were in Hawaii as we now know that is the standard Cox family alibi. Barry is definitely a shady character! I’ve been around men like that and even at a very young age woman have a sixth sense that warns us of danger, thank god!! It’s saved me more than once. I can’t imagine what the Cox children lived with growing up😱 No excuse for any of this though! That being said idk how Alex could have possibly turned out any differently. He was a made psychopath imo. Even in death he was rewarded for horrendous behavior! (They had a memorial service in which nobody that thought he was a murderer could attend) It seems the only time they wanted anything to do with him was when they wanted someone to die…that’s the only time the weirdo got any love or attention from his own family. I can only imagine what he would have told us if he had lived!!!

Like all the rest of Lori’s friends, Serena has downplayed her role in the kooky casting club. I think they all found it exciting at the time and thought they’d never get caught up in the dragnet.

You've had some huge weights lifted from your shoulders with trials & graduation. I'm SO very happy for you. Writing this while listening & Lori's Dad's comments came up holy 🤬He always made my skin crawl both he & Janice are creepy AF & seriously deeply disturbed. I have always believed Zulumea killed Alex. Her meek, quiet demeanor is an act there is a depth of insanity & depravity she hids which is truly amazing. This case was my 1st deep dive into real time True Crime. It was Tylee that brought me along on this long, horrific & 😭journey. I'm SO deeply grateful I found your channel Annie early on. I've grown to admire, respect & adore you not in a creepy stalker way. I have the dark humor as well & come from a 🤬up family that I finally have no contact with. I will be looking forward to your future posts & am really going to miss you. Though left with much damage from narcissist mother, step Dad & siblings I still was blessed to find an amazing, caring almost perfect husband & have 24 yr old woke daughter. You & this tribe have been such a bright light in my life these past yrs & a place to go & talk about my "weird" ( my family calls it that) obsession with true crime & psychology. I’m so sorry to hear about your phone! And your family. Those of us who came from dangerously toxic households had a much rougher introduction to adulthood. That said, I’ve seen people who came from healthy, supportive households lack the grit those who clawed their way out of deep holes possess. Sadly, I’ve seen far more cases of trauma fracturing a person making adulthood unmanageable. 💔

Tylee' s questionable attendance at qedfing is weird. Lori imo wanted to be the only other female in Colbys life. Dint think Lori wanted Tylee there. Very very weird. Also was she babysitting JJ???

In my mind that was a couched confession. I don’t believe he said that; I personally suspect she needs to believe he would have wanted to be murdered to justify what [I believe] she did.
@@AMurderousHeart I agree! I have always thought Zulema murdered Alex. And I never believed her tarp story either. And the minute the cops came to her house when he died she asked if she needed an attorney. She was afraid they knew. Lori and Chad set it up and ordered the hit.

Plus, her attorney had mentioned something about putting a tarp up over part of his house during renovations earlier in that interview (video: ruclips.net/video/3Uib0lFiLjg/видео.html). Clever these people were not.
IMO The bag of money was payment for the murder.

There’s no question in my mind he was murdered. Lori couldn’t stop bragging about getting away with murder, but no one went to police with it.
For some reason I was under the assumption as well. My timeline is all screwed up. I think it's the messaging that is out there...not Annie's messaging but everyone else's trying to distance Annie as far away from Tylee as possible.

QUESTION. if you can answer this in a future live which is difficult for me to join due to work. Can a pathologist test for Malachite poisoning during an autopsy?
I’m pretty sure they tested for that and every other kind of poisoning possible. I wonder if there even is a test for that…if there’s not then I highly doubt they’d broadcast that!! Too many sickos would then use it. I looked it up and it can cause pulmonary problems and that’s exactly how he died! I also read that if you breath in the dust you have less than a day to live but couldn’t find if it’s detectable which is unusual…
The ME who did Alex's autopsy said they'd have to know the poison to check for (ss: bit.ly/3zzAuMs). But one of the FBI agents attended Alex's autopsy. I'll never understand why no one explicitly told any of these MEs to check for malachite, given Lori and Chad's obsession with it.

I held that detail back until the trials were behind us, but I hate that this falls on Lt Hermosillo. I'm assuming since he was the one who spoke to Melanie on 12/6 and 12/7, he would've been the one to broker the deal (if there was one), but it wouldn't have been his idea. He had just become a detective earlier that year. This would've been the brainchild of Rob and/or Lt Ball imo. Same with the trip to Utah. Then-Det Hermosillo was the least powerful person in that car. Yet these details could follow him for years to come because Lt Ball has moved on, and Judge Boyce said Rob Wood shouldn't be allowed to be a witness as long as someone else is available to provide that information.

Well I just got booted from the 50 shades of sh!t fb group for saying what Kelsey said re ski trip… it was in response to a horrific post aimed at you Annie. Anyways I was quite kind in my response but it appears the admin on there has a fettered mindset and now uses the group to target and bully. Obvs got nothing better to do with her time but to instil schadenfreude within the group. The group now verges on sentimentality, it’s not a good look.

The significance of the scissors is bugging me... Zulema tried to talk about the significance but nothing came of it. Lori was acting like they were important in some way. Anyway probably nothing.
Personally, I suspect the only significance is she could hock them, and she probably made Zulema special by telling her they were her special scissors. My daughter does vintage hair on the side and has one pair of really high-quality scissors. Most stylists do.

Is there a possibiltiy that Joes death will be investigated? I know he was cremated but I heard they preserve some of the body in case an investigation is called for.
I'm of two minds on this. As things stand now, no. But when you have as many people carrying a secret, as you do with Joe's death, the chances are greater of something significant eventually coming out. This oftentimes happen in deathbed confessions, where someone knows they're approaching death and experiences conscience pangs (and has nothing to lose).

I did some further research and found I was related to the kids, Charles, Tammy, and Joe. Family Search support confirmed this. I have some psychic abilities since I was about 6, but I don't ask about something and then it comes to me. It just comes on its own. My belief is that Lori killed Joe, for money, and that she had a hand in Alex's death. I've watched a few other crime trials and found out some things that were mind-blowing. To me, Melaniece is highly involved in this, and probably did little, but contributed information and acquiescence to others being snuffed. I love the way you ferret out the information and it shows you care. Please put me on any list as a fellow-researcher.

TL;DR: I strongly suspect Summer was the mystery woman in the Ring cam footage. If it was her, she knew the kids were gone and did nothing, which makes her whole recorded call with Lori suspect. Not only does it look and sound like Summer, there was an 'SS' in one of the legends I found in the FOIA docs, and a yellow dot was on Alex's apartment in Rexburg. The only other person with the initials 'SS' was Serena Sharp, but she had been long gone by October.

I didn’t realize Lauren had this way about her until this last trial and I was an avid watcher before the trial, but I saw her being really childish in relation to Annie and her taunting Prior (Which I previously found funny, but after thinking about it, realized it was just cruel) and it made me lose interest in her content. She came off as sweet before.
During this trial it started to feel like she was crossing the boundary from neutral reporter into joining a mean girl clique.
