He’s not stronger, sumo is all about technique and how hard you can make yourself to get thrown around. Sumo wrestlers don’t eat like shit, they just eat a shit ton of good shit which makes them hella strong, when combined with their perfect sleep schedules and well planned training regiments
Food quality doesn't make you strong. You can eat garbage fast food as long as you hit your protein macros
It's literally similar kind of dieting of bodybuilding and powerlifting-strongman.... it's always about putting size and weight.

The Sumo guy didn't even budge once. 😂
The understanding of Center of Gravity was essential
Finally someone with a brain
And i give credit too the tall guy cuz he adjusted pretty quickly. Lost the first and immediately made adjustments to at least tie the second round. I bet you give him a few pointers on dropping his center of gravity and he would probably win the 3 round if there was one.
Yeah tall guy has no business winning this. He did very good
Everyone thought it was unfair until realizing the bigger guy was actually the challenger.
Mad respect to the sumo wrestler! Dude is a beast! Keep rocking man!
Its fake
He’s not stronger, sumo is all about technique and how hard you can make yourself to get thrown around. The dude clearly trains to be a calisthenics/weight lifter so he can easily get thrown around, the sumo wrestler prob weighs twice as much and probably equates the tall dudes bench press in weight
For everyone who’s surprised by the sumo guy’s strength, the “fat” you see is deceiving because while it’s true they do have some fat most of there weight is actually muscle
Being ripped actually makes it harder to put on muscle , you are right .Unless you are Ronnie Coleman lol dude had extremely low bodyfat and was big but he took steroids.
They definitely have a lot of muscle but you're downplaying the importance and prevalence of the fat in sumo wrestlers. He has lots of fat, and that is by design. It is necessary for the sport
They just don’t tone up so they can keep mass
...hes also much lower lol

How do you know it’s 6’7 and a half specifically? Where’d you get the half from?
Dope guy vs whole food eater 😂 unmatched
Now imagine what a 6'7" height sumo wrestler would do
It would actually be at a disadvantage, being short and chunky actually gives sumo wrestlers a lower center of gravity, granting them much more stability and equilibrium, thus making them harder to throw
E Honda type shit.
@@giuseppebonanno1765 Having extra mass that comes with height outweighs any increase in center of gravity. Tall sumo wrestlers can always crouch to lower their COG.

It’d be interesting to watch a Sumo wrestler take on an Olympic wrestler or a judoka.
The Mongolian wrestlers you see in international Freestyle tournaments come from traditional Mongolian wrestling, which is very similar to Sumo. It's also why so many Mongolians have been successful in Sumo.
There's a clip somewhere on RUclips with a wrestler/MMA Fighter in Rumble Johnson facing a sumo wrestler.

I lived in Japan for several years. This is a trained Sumo wrestler vs. an untrained strong man. Both are respect-worthy and not your average (especially in America LOL). Not everything is "this or that". Commend both then move on. The jaded/negative attitude is a bad habit to carry on.
@Euro316 but the decision was completely unfair, and furthermore, the guy has the right to voice his opinions as much as you are. Who are you to dictate anything?

They’re way too small and don’t move well enough. Offensive linemen are like 6-5. A big ass defensive end is getting around or through a sumo wrestler. It’s totally different from sumo wrestling.
