I just purchased this car and the plan was to make it a brushless drift car. Do you think the gears can handle it? It was on sale and I only paid $111.00 for it on amazon. Was it a bad purchase for what I want to do to it?

160+ usd for a brushed 1/12….something doesn’t seem right there. I think a couple screws came loose on whoever tf decided those prices. At that price point I could get a slash 4x4 1/16 brushed for 199 and be able to get parts anywhere at all times. IMO that should be priced at 100-125 on the big end. Great review as usual
It's an offroad hbx 1/16th scale truggy/monster truck, covered by a body, making it a 1/12 car, and adjusting the price for a larger scale. It's a cash grab a bit.
I'm not to sure about this company. It's too much money for a so so car. They also spelled banzai wrong. They spell it Bonzai which is a common misspelling of bonsai, you know, the little trees. That was my first red flag. I can't even find the truck. All I can find is the buggy. I'm in the U.S. by the way. Cool video. It was hilarious when the truck flew towards the camera 🤣🤣🤣. I wish I could hang out with you and your crew and bash it up. You guys always have a blast in your videos. Keep up the good work. 😃
For a beginner yes it is a good starter RC CAR in the more advanced direction but for the more seasoned RC CAR collector no. Motors and parts for you upgrading a rustler or ARRMA BIG ROCK cost more than this specific car. Good Review Claire
These banggood specials are always very tempting to buy! I think they aim people who didn't really understand this hobby thinking they will get good rc with that price range when you can actually get much better alternatives with cheaper price..

I remember back like 4 years when I got back into rc I got a brushless RedCat sct and I couldn’t kill that damn thing 😂. You guys should check one out they’re pretty cheap for what you are getting
Redcat isn’t very common here and parts are even less common. FTX is our equivalent my daughter had a carnage… lives up to its name. Damn thing pretty much exploded 😂
WLToys just announced today a new 1/10 that has that type of truck body. If it's the same chassis underneath as the buggies it could be a very good alternative to this. They haven't put up any specs, other than it's brushless, or chassis pics yet though, just the exterior shot.
