I wonder what is the percentage of oily skin population in this universe because I am one of them and most of the content on RUclips and social media in general is catered towards people with normal to dry skin and we oily people are being told that we are oily because we are not hydrated enough. Trust me, I am fully hydrated inside and out and my skin is still oily. Thank you Nikki for this content. As someone with very oily skin, I have shy away from make-up to avoid them melting and caking on my skin. Your contents on oily skin and products suggestion make it easier to navigate and ease in and give me the courage to play more with make-up.

I’m also extremely oily. You can be hydrated to the stars and back and the oil still breaks through even with proper mattifying products. I’ve tried everything and it honestly doesn’t make much of a difference. It’s a body chemistry issue, skin prep and manipulating outside factors doesn’t really affect that.

I have super oily and aging skin (I'm 53) and the holy grail of oil control for me is Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder. I use 8.5 or 9 as a primer, do the rest of my routine, spray with a mattifying setting spray - MAKEUP PERFECTION ALL DAY!!!
Saw that primer and was so tempted to purchase it , I guess I will now 😅🙊

I’m 52 and my skin is the same. (IMO it’s genetics. I come from an oily family😂) So many videos are geared towards mature/dry skin.
I am so glad to see sunscreen recommendations for oily skin. I am so tired of being greasy and goopy before I even start my makeup.
It's frigging impossible to find a decent sunscreen, I hope this one helps, because all the other one's for "oily" skin have been a disaster for me.
i have oily skin and i would also recommend the innis free sunscreen ! it’s spf 36 and it’s super lightweight and doesn’t make my skin feel oily at all
Not sure if it is available in US but in EU you have Garnier vitamin C invisible (not glow) spf and it is perfect and affordable. Korean spf-s are great for oily skin like Missha SPF45 or Skin1004 air fit sunscreen is perfect
I have oily skin and I’ve used plenty of sunscreens, innisfree, etude house, isntree, biore, skin1004 etc and they’re all not oily skin friendly even tho some were gel and recommended for oily skin. Biore gel is good but patch tests under the sun showed that its efficacy was poor in terms of protection, you can look it up. Only two weeks ago I discovered Kose Cosmeport Suncut perfect UV gel. They have essence, milk or gel options. I just use hada labo’s hydrating premium lotion > moisturizer and then the sunscreen. It doesn’t pill my makeup, it sits beautifully under makeup and it doesn’t make my skin even more greasy. It legit feels like you’re not wearing anything. It’s super water proof. It sets matte and doesn’t have that oily matte feeling, it’s just like your skin when you didn’t apply anything. Highly recommend for my oily skin gals. It’s SPF50PA+++. I only use minimum spf50 and nothing under. Btw this is not sponsored ok
All the Korean spf I've tried have felt decent on the skin but still look like an oil slick. Another commenter said the Biore she recommended also feels greasy. Anyone tried it?

Danessa Myricks lasts ALL DAY!! I was at an Indian wedding last summer in Italy where festivities started at 8-9am, it was so hot (and sweaty) and I had the blurring balm and blush on and my makeup did NOT break!!
I wish I had RUclips as a teenager/young adult. I was extremely oily and my mom had a dr prescribe me a benzoil peroxide face wash. I did not do any skin care afterwards. Living in CA at the time, I was always outside without sunscreen. I COULD NEVER today! I just had a daughter and am so happy that I’ll be able to teach her these things thanks to creators like you!

@@tedoymisojos Mine is the NeoGen sunscreen. I will not use anything else and it doesn’t make me extra oily. I’ve also slept in it with no breakouts in the morning. That has been my experience with it.

Dior Forever Matte is a really beautiful formula for oily skin, and especially for mature oily skin, but since they updated the formula it begins oxidizing both on the skin and even in the bottle in as little as three months. To get my money's worth out of the product, I've started mixing it with a lighter shade of ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Hydrating Foundation.

The PA++++ reflects the UVA (aging rays) protection level since the SPF only captures protection from UVB rays (sun burns). PA++++ means the highest UVA protection! 💪
That Dior Forever foundation is the hotness. That and the L'Oreal Infallible foundation are the ones that work best for my oily skin.
YES THAT NARS natural radiant foundation AND THE power fabric from armani I HAVE BOTH OF THOSE AND OMG AMAZING FOR MY OILY SKIN!!!!!! YESSSS!!!!! THE NARS soft matte is also AMAZING AND I HAVE like 5 of them lol
The Nars longwear radiant did not work for me, I can say the worst ever high end and drugstore, ever 😅 but sheer glow is amazing

Get as much samples as you can, foundation is so difficult to match, Nars longwear radiant was horrible on me, I prefer sheer glow
Dior is a mehh, similar to Chanel ultra le teint is ok, I really like double wear, the best and Loreal infallible or the loreal true match serum, so you never know untill you try ❤

I’ve never gotten much into makeup cuz my face is so oily, but your video genuinely makes me feel like I can finally wear makeup and not feel self conscious because my skin isn’t “normal”
As an oily girly i find that using a makeup sponge and forgoing the brush altogether gives the best finish... Kinda pushes the foundation into the pores and minimizes the disturbance of spf and primer underneath. I also like to use puffs (like the tati beauty one) for my primer to keep my fingers clean😊 for those of you struggling with how much pressure to use with your foundation brushes or dont wanna use your fingers these tools i memtioned above might be easier to get started

Thank you for the videos Nikki. My experience with that sunscreen is that it does dry down, its not slippy or greasy, but it stays shiny looking. It's not shiny feeling but it looks shiny all day. So it's not for me and my forehead
If you are alcohol sensitive use caution with Biore. Maybe alternate days to prevent irritation or dryness. I have rosacea so I can use once a week.

Yes, Armani Power Fabric Foundation! I've been recommending this ever since it was reformulated but influencers won't even try it. Yet there are plenty of reviews of the Dior matte! The PF is so underrated / ignored. I have an oily T-zone despite being dry everywhere else. This video was BEYOND helpful!!! TYSM! Your advice is so SO good! Best pro EVER!!! 🙌⭐👏

Finally I found a video for oily skin. There are so few videos with it, and thanks for a super good tip for us with this skin type. I have used Dior Forever for many years and love it. But also like foundation Futurist Hydra Rescue from Estée Lauder. I have to test out the Nars too.

Nobody ever believed me when I told them how oily I was lol, I’m talking I had to was my hair everyday and when I woke in the morning it looked like I just slathered on bacon grease . I’m 52 now and it has calmed down but I still can get super oily if it’s warmer outside. I’m not bitching by any means , it’s kept the wrinkles at bay but my pores are larger cause of it and I do hate that.
Same! One good clean hair day. Can hardly do two to three without mega dry shampoo.
I’m also an 11 oily skin on a scale of one to 10 but while I love the Dior matte the only foundation on the market that keeps my oil at bay all day long is Estée Lauder double wear. The nice thing is you can sheer it out multiple ways on days you want less coverage, and such a little bit goes a long way.
I don’t have oily skin anymore and am struggling to relearn makeup for dry skin but I had to watch because I love you!

Just wanted to say i followed this guide to a TEE! But with my own products . Let me say i had So many compliments on my makeup. It lasted all night in humidity at a party outside. Instead of charlotte tilbury setting spray I used the urban decay all nighter followed by the one size at the end . You are AMAZING

This was the greatest makeup tutorial I've ever seen!! The way you explain things and in such detail and for oily skin too!! ❤
I use the MUFE Velvet concealer as my bulletproof foundation! I can achieve a beautiful full face of coverage with 2-3 dots of product applied by pressing with a damp mini beauty sponge. It's thick & concentrated, so spending a few minutes working it into my skin is well worth it. It will stay satin finish or get shiny depending on how I set it, but the coverage remains all day. It even survived Dubai in July!

Thank you so much for the fool proof complete make up look. Usually it’s just one issue that make up artists advise on eg primer and foundation but to have your tips for a full face is brilliant. I exfoliate ( Gatineau 3 min one I love) and use hydrating face masks regularly and use retinol twice a week and hydrating skin care routine the other 5 nights and always use sunscreen (ultrasun) but it leaves me a little oily and I don’t wear make up during the day, just setting spray and a small touch of Wayne Goss finely milled powder, but when wearing make up at night I do layer my setting spray since Wayne Goss advised this for oily skin and oh wow it has completely changed the longevity of my makeup and it remains oil free, just great but I think il purchase the big pink tin too lol. I’ve only learned these few tips within the last 3 years when I started binging utube yep very late to the game I know but at 62 now and not a wrinkle in sight I have always been thankful having oily skin, but to not have to use oil mopping papers constantly has been great. Exfoliating and hydrating is so important and definitely not using any stripping toners. Really enjoyed today’s episode, the only extra that would have helped is how to do eye makeup now that my lids are not as firm as they were and I’m experiencing the start of hooded eyes. Maybe you could keep that in mind for a future episode? The look you created was gorgeous today but it had a beautiful canvas ☺️

That fenty eye primer is THE BEST eye primer I have ever tried. And I am so sad because they stopped selling it in my sephora both online and in store. With this primer my eyeshadow does not move, does not crease and the colors are more intense than with all the other primers I have. And I am someone with very oily eyelids. I need primer. With that primer you just need the tiniest bit and blend it well all over the lid and let it dry a little bit and it works wonders.

I'm 45years old & ive been struggling with oily skin as along as I can remember. My ride or die skincare products are MURAD oil & Pore Control mattifying Broad spectrum 45. ELF matte poreless Putty Primer and placenta Moisturizer with hyaluronic acid essence capsules(TEMU).
Even if I dnt wear any makeup, I apply these products everyday with a very thin layer of loose translucent powder between each product.

I have very oily skin (and live in the Deep South humid climate 😩I have used and loved the Armani Power Fabric for years. I always press my product in- love that tip! Also Mac Mattifine 12 hour primer in t-zone helps a lot. Believe it or not the new Prada foundation works nice on my oily skin, more of a glow look at end of day but somehow it’s not greasy or separating👏 but press it in! Another great sunscreen for oily skins- it’s super lightweight & smoothing- Paula’s Choice Yourh extending Daily Fluid 🙌Going to try your Makeup Forever suggestions Nikki!
I thought the Naturium would be like the paula’s choice 2%bha. But found it is gentle and hydrates works well under makeup. Super impressed.
Also the Skin Aqua gel is phenomenal especially in the summer. Sinks in does not pill and water resistant spf 50 pa+++. Just another option ❤

As a 52 year old SUPER oily girl, I agree with skin prep and exfoliation. What would you use for nighttime makeup prep in lieu of the sunscreen so makeup doesn't slide off or evaporate by the end of the night?

I've tried the makeup forever one after your recommendation. I've tried Maybelline after other influencers' tips, none of them keep me matte!
I would classify myself as a very oily girly, and none of these expensive products work on me but Cartrice does. I expect it's because the product is mostly talc... I am very fair so it doesn't bother me 😅

This was very helpful! I’ve been doing makeup for 15 years but my skin is oiler in my 20’s than it was in my teens and I’m kinda lost at what to do because I already have my techniques but it’s so good to see new ones that are designed for oily skin because it feels like everyone’s just doing dewy clean girl looks and that’s not working. Any tips for the brows? I like to use brow pomades but only affordable ones and I don’t like the one I have now.
