The part of the father leading his son to the preacher only to be told "God will strike you down and watch you burn," reminded me of how many people have been misled to think that God is a hateful being by hateful men who think they serve Him, but really only serving their own personal agendas of hate based in their own self loathing. The LORD does not hate us; only humans who have it twisted do so. I'm as much a sinner as anybody else, and I struggle with such things regularly, but the fact I keep trying and keep striving to be a good person keeps me going. Or as Martin Luther famously said: "Be a sinner and sin boldly, but believe and rejoice in Christ even more boldly, for he has conquered sin, death, and the world. As long as we are here in this world, we must sin." I interpret that as meaning "We're all human, we're flawed, and we sin; don't beat yourself up over it, but learn from it and move on." Would that more people could understand the wisdom of those words.
Awesome song. Many think Slip of the Tongue was Coverdale and Vai but we all forget that Vanderberg was totally involved in the songwriting process. Besides the old hits and Skyes’s Whitesnake contributions, part of Whitesnakes legacy is this sound that Vanderberg helped with. I am glad to here this sound again.
this is how you play guitar its on fire absolute classic i love the rhythmn and the leads are straight out of the book of heavy metal when i listen to this i get chills it appeals to me on some level i cant even find words for it --grace elegance taste what a pedigreee and this is the best song ive heard in years in a hard rock metal genre ...BRAVO ADRIAN
I went to the show in Amsterdam tonight: bloody great performance! Great band, super drummer and bassist, excellent singer Mats Levén, and Adrian (Adje) was visually loving every second of it. What a great spirit this band has going for itself.
Powerful music that captivates the audience... Every second of this song is perfect from the start to the end! Lots of electrifying energy resonating deep within the soul and lots of passionate talent!
