I feel the same way about my views. Haha. Eventually i might break out and have a good amount. I try to be non-biased with all my videos. Thanks so much for watching. I have more things planned for the channel and also have the camomatrix.com tools. Just put up the upload your own background tool also.
I've been hunting over 50 years. I wash my camo by hand without detergent and not in the washer, also everytime I get a new pair of black jeans, I wash my camo with them by hand and never put the camo in the dryer, it will pickup any residual dryer sheet odor. I've killed many deer from the ground which I prefer over deer stands.
I’ve been skeptical about this spray since pretty much every video shows it “working” while the garment is still wet. I’d be curious to see if you used the brightening detergent, UV killer, Atsko’s sport wash, then maybe another round of killer to see if that works
Look for the term whitening on the bottle or color brightening. They use so many different chemical variations. I either wash my hunting clothes in just baking soda or in a hunting cloth specific detergent.
It will depend on the fabric. If it is not a mostly cotton or natural blend it will resist the brightener better. Getting a UV light will help determine
I did my own test on UV killer after sport wash. I agree with you. Some materials are worse than others as well. It did help, but I would say its a 10-15% difference. Some of my Camos of the same brand and pattern are lit up like a Chrismas tree and the others are not. Definitely check your camo before you buy and careful how you wash them. You're better off rolling your camo in the dirt.
I rarely wash mine just to reduce artificial scent and brighteners. I used to use baking soda to wash them and then store them in bags with some pine needles. I now just try to play the wind the best I can.
True. But I have seen both ways and the exact same results happens. Furthermore, this stuff only works while it’s wet. Once it dries, it has a slight effect but only can tell with a side by side and it still glows like Halloween
@@CamoMatrix not sure if they are brightened from the factory. That’s what I was originally asking. I have a whole skre set coming in solace in a few days. Thought about buying a UV light just to test different ones myself. But didn’t know if you already tested skre or not. If I ever wash my camo I use scent killer with no UV
I have a number of Skre pieces in both Solace and Summit. Some earlier Solace pieces (several years ago) were made with a UV brightened fabric but I think they corrected this with their fabric supplier or pattern printing process (or changed suppliers). Any newer pieces I got were made with non-UV brightened fabric. I would expect a newer piece to be good to go. You should be able to check it with a regular black light and see if it glows like a brightened t-shirt. They have a solid return policy so if you find it was made with a UV brightened fabric, ask them to replace it with one that wasn't (I just think they have it straightened out now). It is an issue I think they all have with fabric suppliers since I have seen UV brightened fabric used by some of the big guys. I think that with the water resistant fabrics, if the piece is UV brightened, there is no fixing it, the sprays will not penetrate the fabric not will a hunt safe detergent.
This saved me some money on UV Killer spray! Also, this proves how helpful it is to stay in shadows as much as possible!
I should be testing scent assassin soon. I hope to have better results.
I had the same results. It looked like it was blocking the reflection wet. When it dryed NOTHING.
I think the base fabric is UV brightened at the factory AND water resistant, there is nothing that can help.
Great video, I stumbled onto your deer vision / human vision videos, you should have WAY more views. Good content.

That is a good method. I like the black pants wash. I assume deepens the darks on your camo.

Stay tuned, I already started that test with a “hunter” non-uv detergent. I may also have another brand to test soon. It will be out soon
@@CamoMatrix looking forward to it!
I'm checking what I have washed my clothes in. What ingredient or symbol would signify uv brightners?

@CamoMatrix I will now. I always have until last season . Wish I hadn't, wonder how many washes or time before it would wear off ?

@@CamoMatrix That's almost exactly what I do with my deer/elk camo
What uv flashlight are you using?
The one I used in the video was a Tureclos 365 UV LED 15W flashlight. Supposed to be at 365Nm. About $37 light.
You didn’t wash them with the sport wash first. It tells you that right on the bottle to wash with sport wash then use the spray.

I washed mine in sport wash twice before trying it myself. It was only a 10-15% difference. It does kinda work, but not as good as claimed.
Very well done
Thanks. I was hoping for better results.
Great information!
Thanks. More on this is coming.
Have you tested all your skre gear? Without spray.
Did you get some with UV brighteners?
