I can't believe I'd be seeing Ice Candy being made ni BA. Great job Melissa! It's every Filipino's childhood. It's simple, it's sweet, it's fun to eat.
@@RicaG wow!!!! THATS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DONT FORGET TO NOT EAT TOO MUCH OR U GET FAT 🥰🥰🥰🥰
zaynab is a breath of fresh air :) she seems to be very knowledgable and charismatic, not to mention that she has a great camera presence. she is a fantastic addition to the team, and i hope that we get to see her appear in more videos in the future!
Everything about Zaynab is so good , the appearance, the voice, the way she speaks (her cake also looked pretty appetizing). I could watch videos with just her for hours, she has a very comfortable vibe
I would never eat any of Zaynab's food for the sheer fact that she wears all of those rings with humungous gaps and crevices. I can't wrap my brain around all of the disgusting bacteria and putrid food particulates that those rings harbor.
@@superimpious6073 The conundrum that is the immune system. I would agree with you on principal, you can't wrap your brain around all of the bacteria, it's literally impossible to imagine such a large number. They probably could step up the culinary food safe standards, but they're putting on a show as well, and the baking likely killed any present bacteria.
I'm very happy with the team that Bon Appetit has now with the vid's. They each have a distinct background in cooking, and each show their knowledge very well. I of course am glad that Brad and Chris are still around, and hope that some of the past members show up occasionally as "cameos," but it's a business, so I get it. I think my favorite bit was when they filmed occasionally at some people's homes, like whenever Andy went over Brad's house.
It could also be because of the drama regarding pay in those videos in the past. As far as I understood those who appeared for a bit in videos to taste/comment/help a little, didn't get paid for the appearance, so I assume they avoid that now.
Ugh I can't cook but I wish I worked here. Imagine someone like Zaynab just coming around with that cake and being like "Wanna slice?" Like the amount of things you'd get to try and eat
Hey BA, Some basic measurements or ratios would be nice somewhere in the video or in the description!! Even with simple desserts that are a few ingredients. I assumed the ice candy was 1 can of milk to 1 melon mine was not very creamy and when I rewatched them video I saw she only used half the melon to the one can. Ugh. Come on cooking magazine people !!! 😡😡
I’m confused are there supposed to be recipes with measurements somewhere??? That would be really helpful…..like how much cane sugar am I supposed to put in with the blueberries? And how am I supposed to make that cake without measurements lol
Melissa's ice candy is too pinoy 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 i never knew that this classic pinoy dessert is going to get in this channel... sarap nyan lalo ngayong mainit ang panahon
Cakes with sour cream or yogurt are great, but I think substituting the ricotta here would give you a different texture and end result. It would probably still be good, but different.
I'm going to pour a tonn of sugar into this and then something else to "balance" the incredible (and totally unexpected) sweetness of this dish........
I heard that dairy milk digests at a very different rate than melon. So combining them is bad for your gut. Coconut milk is a delicious alternative. And you guys add a lot of sugar! Fruit is already sweet, guys...a lighter hand maybe.
@Zaynab The fruit on my cake sank in much more than yours. I wonder if baking it for 20 minutes and then spooning the berries on top would solve that issue...
I'm a bit iffy when it comes to using jewelry on hands while cooking... :P all looks good though, I like the simple charred fruit with icecream, should expirement on all kinds regarding that.
I really like these videos, but I wish they would get more specific with amounts. Saying "add some sugar" isn't extremely helpful. 1/4 cup? 1/2 cup? Even a ratio would be good.
I get that this channel has gone through some growing pains but as much I have tried I just can't get with these new chefs. It's nearly impossible to try to replace what the original cast of 2019/2020 had. It's a shame the up & ups at BA ended that with their ridiculousness.
I’d just like to say that the choice to use single use bags instead of a reusable silicon tray or popsicle tray is 100% crazy on a planet literally dying of garbage and pollution…. Come on bon appetite, it’s 2022 there are zero excuses for this!
I can't believe I'd be seeing Ice Candy being made ni BA. Great job Melissa! It's every Filipino's childhood. It's simple, it's sweet, it's fun to eat.

We have those in Mexico too!! We call them bolis or hielitos

yes yes yes!!
I love her voice too.
i agree !!!
anytime Brad says mango now my brain immediately cuts to when Brad called an avocado a MANGOOOO in front of Chris.

More Zaynab Issa content please! Love her!

he's the main character on this channel
Twice in a row I've been impressed by Zaynab...excellent stuff, glad to see her around.
That mango recipe would be so good with coconut oil. Reminds me of how we make plantains with sugar and cinnamon.
hahaha does it hahahaha.. ok
Loved it when he put salt on the mango, it just takes it to the next level!!!

omg seeing the iced candy on this channel is making me all sorts of emotional. thank you melissa!

always love the "ice buko candy" young coconut ice candy, because its always hot in Phillipines so you always want something fresh and cold
Omg, I must try that lemon ricotta cake
Do you know where to find a recipe?
Recipe for Raspberry Ricotta cake, please. That looks amazing!
You're good, focus on shedding those pounds.
Yeah!! Brad and Melissa again! I love it! Still waiting for brads ginger gsrlic paste and its alive with Elias and brads dad!!!
I get unreasonably happy when I see a new video with Brad is available. Thank you for existing Brad, never change.
Why do you no longer have other chefs taste and comment on the dishes created by your amazingly talented creators. Thanks!
That is what I miss. Breaking away to talk to co-workers and have co-workers engage in the cooking is refreshing. That what made BA a lovable channel.

It’s weird. You can go to restaurants but not eat the food at BA :(

Is there a recipe for Zaynab's cake anywhere? I'd love to make it for the 4th of July!

Last Xmas my Mum made these incredible brandy snaps with fresh raspberries. I've seriously never eaten anything so delightful!
of course Brad is using MANGOOOO
No Avocado? XD
Brads mango would finish amazingly with a lime squeeze, maybe even a grate of zest! EZ
Honestly didn't know you could use a food processor to make sorbet. All of these look very delicious!

Why does the lemon Ricotta raspberry cakes looks delicious 🤤 🍋
Why wouldn't it?

That ice candy is a true story
Despite what angry commenters might say, the ladies really brought it in this one! Great job all around.
I can't even make normal desserts without ruining them or consuming them before anyone else sees them.
Can the ricotta cheese be substituted for sour cream? Great recipes! I will be trying some of these out. Thanks in advance.

never used an ice cream maker to make sorbet. food processor is fast and easy just use frozen fruits.
The Meyer Lemons were a fantastic touch, too. It adds a little something more to it, similar to key limes opposed to regular ones.

Is that Mango or Avocado?
Is "evaporadet milk" the same a condensed milk?
Hi! No, they're not the same, condensed milk is really sweet and evaporated milk isn't. :)
I click on any ba vid with Brad on the thumbnail icl
Brad's "recipe" was grilling mango............
Yeah brad
DeVonn? 🥲
oh hello
brad, get your own YT channel buddy. what are you waiting for??
Not everyone wants to leave and be on their own.
The ‘watch five pro chef make cuz’ are so tired, PLEASE bring back chefs making detailed and researched dishes on their own.
