It's such a stunning performance, it deserves to be mentioned and remembered. It has broken my heart and simultaneously made it whole again, because I saw a lot of myself and my mother in that character. I'm ever so grateful to Lesley for bringing her to life so beautifully and realistically.

I saw Another Year at the cinema upon release and haven’t seen it since. I think I didn’t like it a huge amount but I thought Lesley was TREMENDOUS in it and if nothing else, I remember how impressive she is in it.
Daniel Day-Lewis is my favorite actor, and he was his usual incredible self in this film. But Lesley Manville was AMAZING in this movie. It would not have been a great film without her in it. Her character is every bit as important as Alma, and she's sooooo good.
