They got back to bear mid scalp on some recession and also went down further on temple closure that adds a bit and this was only at the half way point in terms of post surgery time.

@@cosmic-creepers9207 it grows back like normal. It heals quickly! It's called the donor area.
@@cosmic-creepers9207 It heals with little to no sign of surgery if done well and the patient can wear their hair very short also to a few mms. It is about a good extraction pattern and not over harvesting.

Thanks for the nice comment. It is real hair and yes will grow as it ..it may be finer or a little coarser at first as it cycles and even for some have a different colour or a kink until the cycles but the end product is yes it will look the same as natural hair if done properly.

Excellent results as always. Looking forward for my hair transplant. I have been using Finasteride since one year. Hair loss has been stopped to some extent but I don't see any hair regrowth. Could you please reply me why? Thanks
Medication is about retention as well as growth and if you were not on it you probably would have lost more. You may wish to add also Minoxidil and this can be in oral tablet form and of course see your doctor for an assessment and prescription if suitable. Also topical finasteride for some is very effective. All the best for your surgery and thank you for watching and commenting.

Essentially it is good to have medication and not chase surgery as a general rule....you do not want the hair transplant to become unattached..

I would really like a hair transplant. Im just worried because I was told even with hair transplant ill need to take finasteride. Is this only true If I get the transplant too soon? I thought the donor hair isn’t affected by DHT so would I still need Fin if I use enough donor hair for the balding area(s)?
For most a hair transplant is in synergy with medication as loss does not stop. So, depending on age, loss potential and what the donor can give, then medication also may be something you need to consider. Thank you for the question.

Yes, he can still have it and have a defined hair line now but it was only really shaved for surgery and not his own preferred look. With good surgery one can still shave if you want to.

If someone had previously fallen hair rough can he implant softer hairs on scalp during a hair transplant?
Sorry for delay, not sure fully I understand the question but we need to transplant the right calibre hair for the right places, so any perimeter needs finer hairs as in hair line and temples etc and we need to cherry pick them from the donor for this natural look.

Transplanted hair, if taken from a safe zone will be as safe as the donor is. So, there will or should be minimal loss as one ages. Hair also will shed and grow as it cycles and this is the same for non transplanted. PRP are not needed as a must for most but can be an adjunct to healing and growth but each case would need to be assessed. This patient here did not have PRP. A hair transplant does not stop future loss so if ones loss pattern is ongoing and the donor will not give them home-run hair then it is wise to be on medication. Most are but not all will be and it depends also on their goals and if they wish to take medication . Many thanks for watching.

Does a person need to shave before surgery can’t they just keep the existing hair?
Really depends on the case. Shaving we need for the donor for most cases and then for placing it is easier and with a better field of vision and matching of hair angles. We can place in and among hair but better for smaller surgeries and also the after care is harder for the patient to wash and clean if they have then longer hair flopping over and at times sticking to the transplanted work. If working among native hair then they would also be wise to be on medication as in essence the native hair is then also part of the result in synergy with the hair transplant and if they then lose it then will need more surgery.

What is the reason after transplant also, side head are fully shaved
Hi Dinesh, we shave prior and to spread the FUE harvesting over the donor. The punch is under 1mm and we need to shave to get it over the hair shaft that will be also 1mm in length and then under the epidermis to dermis level. Shaving for placing also allows us to match well the native angles..Hope helps.

Thank you for the question. For most it is a lifetime commitment and really does depend on the loss pattern and how much can be achieved with surgery. The younger the patient is then probably will need meds at some point and so this is really also part of the education. A hair transplant does not stop future loss and so it is usually in synergy with medication.

No, it is a marker pen prior...but yes if there is scar tissue then it is then more of a challenge..

He looked great with his head shaved. Many of these guys who get a hair transplant, NEVER shaved their heads before and they have to in order to get the transplant. It would be kind of funny if they like the bald look at the time they shaved just minutes before having the transplant
Well, they can still have after..the only difference is he has a hair line now that is a huge benefit..but the mis-understanding is they can't shave after, they can with a good clinic.
@@bhrclinic It wont make any sense and would be ridiculous to spend thousands of dollars and then deciding to shave the scalp, in that case just leave it like that and save the money, oh, but I see many people do it. Having a hairline with transplanted hair or SMP, or simply a horseshoe all, and shaving the scalp makes absolutely NO difference, NO hair at all
