Santa Cruz | Travel to Galápagos Islands - Things to do Puerto Ayora 2021
Heyyy Guys, here is a Beginner's Guide to Santa Cruz (Puerto Ayora), the most popular island of the Galapagos Islands. There are plenty of things to do Puerto Ayora / Santa Cruz , loads of organized tours plus, like Bartolome tour, North Seymor tour, Floreana tour. Moreover, all the diving and snorkeling sites to go to.
So after this video, you will find out: Are the Galapagos Islands Expensive? What Galapagos Islands to visit? Which Galapagos Islands are the best? Why visit Galápagos Islands? Which Galapagos Islands have marine iguanas and tortoises? What is the best beach?
Rancho Primicias: to see giant tortoises, it is in Santa Rosa, 21 km from Puerto Ayora.
    Best Dive/Snorkeling sites:
    - Gordon Rocks, North Seymor: famous for seeing hammerheads sharks
    - Santa Fe, Floriana: swim with sea lions
    - Beagle, Daphne: Sea horses, sea lions
    - Cousin Rocks: black corals
Best Beach of Santa Cruz/ Galapagos Islands: Tortuga Bay
Restaurants: we gave preference to local restaurants, a local dish is Menestra (rice, beans, salad, chips and an option which could be tuna, chicken or beef) - $5
Beer: We love Santa Cruz Brewery - artisanal beer, the beer is awesome, exotic flavors and the staff are very friendly, we went there nearly every night :D, missing them!
Charles Darwin street is where you can find the fish market \o/

    MPORTANT COVID info before go:
    - To enter the Galapagos you need a PCR test taken within 96 hours.
    - Salvo Conduto - A document that your hostel or hotel needs to fill and send to you - once you book your accommodation, send to them: name, number of passport and nationality of all travelers.
    - Get to the Ecuador mainland Airport 3 hours earlier (yes really!) - In the airport, you need to do an extra check for Galapagos where they are going to check your documents (PCR test, passport, salvo conduto and bags), if everything is ok they charge $20 per person and you are clear to get on the plane to Galapagos. These extra checks can take more than two hours, so get in the airport very early.
