Hey, thanks a lot for the update. I been working with CapCut lately, but I don't like the fact that the audio lags a lot while editing, and I'm not even sure if the audio traces shown in the audio track are real. Anyway it's not synchronized. How's it in VN, is it better than in CapCut?

On cap cut there's a 15 minute limit and I'm trying to make an hour long video. Is there a limit on VN video editor?
Thanks Justin! I’ve been using VN following your review from last year! Definitely agree - wish VN had auto captions and more effects, fonts etc. Then it would be the clear winner. I switch to CapCut whenever I need those features. 😊

I just tested VN. It does have Auto captions. Maybe it's new.

I don't edit on my phone, but will give VN a try. My videos don't have many effects. I have been using the Magix video editor for years, but it is slowing my laptop and uses up a lot of space plus their customer service is patchy, so VN on my laptop is definitely something I want to try. Hello. Im just now starting out. Im mainly recording RC cars and my guitar playing and was thinking about using VN. I'll be making videos probably no more than 15 minutes long before editing and they won't need much editing. Im not worried about crazy affects. Just easy, good looking, good sounding videos. Would like it to be as user friendly as possible. Considering what i will be recording what do you think? Also, Is there a background noise removal on VN and can I upload music from Epidemic Sound to VN. Is there a better music app I could use other than Epidemic? Thank you for your time.

As of 9/11/2023 you only get 100 projects with VN Video Editor, so it is not free anymore - that's free trial only.

VN editor was good until the update.
After the update, it lags on uploading videos (making you think it doesn’t work) and it changes images on uploaded images (changes brightness, saturation, contrast, etc).
So bummed. It used to work.

Very informative. I have been using cupcut, got a new phone and when app.was installed...is not exactly the same. I have a real issue as it cuts my horizontal videos. When exporting to Facebook does not seems to have this issue. Anyone could give mea tip please?
Youcut is another decent editor.
You cut is more like a copy of caput
The problem with capcut is that we can't edit based on the sound waves as you suggest in other videos. Seeing the dead space in the sound makes it really fast and easy to edit that's missing in capcut, and in most editors to be honest. The only one that has that feature is vllo. But it misses most of the fancy stuff. So I usually use 2 apps. Fast edit in vllo and then for titles, captions amd text in capcut. It's a little annoying.

Been using VN for over a year and I'm happy with except they just changed the way I access my own music from harddrive. I use my original music instead of free processed music and they just made it way harder

Lost my edits (drafts) because I couldn't open VN therefore I uninstalled and reinstalled it I wish there was a way to recover such drafts and to know the cause since I haven't got feedback from customer service. Can I use tiktok's special effects outside of it if I'm able to remove its watermark without encountering a lawsuit?

My question is. When download to RUclips do you get 4k quality or like the one I'm using now. It says 4k. But you can clearly tell the difference. I would love to get the same quality no matter if I use the cellphone app or laptop. Right now I have to take the Sim card out of my drone put it in my laptop and post it to RUclips. 4k is beautiful. But not the same quality when using app. Hopefully this app gives me the same quality

@@PrimalVideo Thank You very much. Unfortunately that site shows we have to install a software named Bluestacks - it seems it is an emulator software for android app on windows. In this case it is a big disadvantage for WIndows/PC users. So I won't make this way :(

Hi Justin: great video. I'm about to teach teens to shoot based on my book Ready, Steady, Shoot: A Pro's Guide to Smartphone Video. I'm an iPhone guy, know nothing about Android. I'm looking for an Android app that they can shoot and edit on their phones, all in one, like iMovie. Simple, straight cuts, no effects. Do either of these allow that or can you suggest another? VN has a problem of audio not being in sync with the video tho. This becomes a big problem when making edits with songs
Wow, I just asked if VN is better than CapCut, because CapCut is lagging while editing, which is a pain in the a.. So I guess VN is not better

I want to be able to use two phones so I can do picture in picture. I would need to import video from my old phone to the new one. I that kind of feature possible with either of these apps?
but with VN editior you cant rotate the vidio by degrees therefor you cant level -- so rubush as a editor

I just tried VN, seemed quite intuitive, although I found the work aria quite small & lost the video several times after saving it & after the 4th time, I was really p#ssed off. Also I put a losd of captions through the video & seemed to have to reset everything relating to the text EVERY TIME!!! Font type, colour, positioning & after the 4th insert, the font type CHANGED & I couldn't get the previous font back. Very frustrating & some shouting 😕
What about Node video editor? Isn't it better than all?

So i just watched about a minute of the video, then downloaded VN on my phone and it wouldmt allow for a realtime smooth scroll through the video, i uninstalled it and tried it on the mac and wow it scrolls very smoothly thru out the video. I think the quality is a little better than youcut
